18/09/2024: Très très bon restaurant avec belle terrasse au bord du port, personnels très agréables et accueillants. Nous nous sommes régalés avec de délicieuses moules au chorizo. Adresse à retenir et que nous recommandons.

A little expensive for steaks with fries served lukewarm... Disappointed to realize that the quality had dropped significantly in this chain that we frequented a lot a few years ago..
For example, a few small biscuits with the aperitif would have been welcome....
05/12/2024: Really nice food and pleasant staff. Food was very good. Decor sparse and lights very bright...flat atmosphere but we enjoyed the meal and they were happy for us to have our dog with us at the table.

16/08/2024: Unplanned stop, the waiter offers us a table, welcomes the next customers then takes care of them with water, bread and a bottle while we are completely ignored without water. We left with empty stomachs and parched mouths, revolted.

21/10/2024: Quel bonheur de retrouver yaya, doudou, clément et Delphine pour un voyage gustatif exceptionnel dans une ambiance conviviale digne d'un restaurant qui se veut à contre-pied de l'attrape touriste du milieu rochelais.
Cette rue en retrait du fabuleux port aux deux tours en fait un environnement idéal aux découvertes proposées par les deux chefs cités plus haut. L'accueil y est irréprochable et la qualité des menus, des entrés jusqu'au desserts en passant par les viandes et fromages exposés en vitrine en font à nos sens un établissement incontournable pour les puristes.
Un seul mot: bravo et à très vite!

Menu exclusively of oysters and mussels, in a typical and very simple atmosphere facing the sea. We feel good there 😌. The boss is very sociable and shares slices of life with us.
The fries may be industrial, but excellent and cooked properly, so nothing to be offended given the constraints existing on an island 😎.

06/09/2024: We had very good memories during our visit in 2017 and 2019, but unfortunately our last experience was disappointing. The welcome was well below our expectations, with unkempt and unkempt waiters, some of whom smoked in front of customers. This does not reflect the image of this establishment that we appreciated so much. In addition, the quality of the oysters and shrimp was not up to what we had experienced before. It's a real shame for such a magical and authentic place. We hope that these points will be reviewed, particularly in terms of service, in order to restore all of this place's charm and quality. But what happened?

25/09/2024: We organized a little last-minute romantic getaway to Cotinière…! And we discovered Merluchon’s fish and chips…! Which we enjoyed with a small glass of white wine, on a bench, at sunset, facing the port! It was really good and, of course, the simplicity of the moment made it even more magical! In short, the best fish and chips of my life! ❤️

A curated menu, So quality products and taste, fragrant sauces. the owner of the establishment is friendly and the chef comes to the room to talk about his dishes.,,, the decor is a little cold, even if it was recently redone… This is the only downside for its semi-gastronomic establishments to recommend.

21/06/2024: Endroit calme et feutré avec musique d'ambiance, dommage que le repas ne soit pas aussi bien. Cocktails servis dans des verres à eau avec une paille en plastique, huîtres qui manquaient de froid au moment du service, et pour le plat de résistance, accompagnement frites surgelées et poêlée de légumes surgelée également. L'amabilité de la serveuse n'aura malheureusement pas suffit à nous donner envie de commander un dessert ni un café......c'est regrettable !

21/08/2024: Nice discovery by chance during our wandering. Exactly what we were looking for, far from the world, quiet with nice people.
I won't tell you about the lemon meringue pie... You have to taste it 😋
As for iced teas...
The owners are super nice and we had a great time before hitting the road again!
11/03/2024: Fort d'une excellente expérience précédente et de nouveau de passage à Royan, nous sommes revenus déguster une pâtisserie et boire thé et café dans ce très agréable endroit.
Comment voulez-vous passer à côté de leur tarte au citron ?
Outre l'excellente qualité de ses pâtisseries, cet établissement nous régale également de thés et café variés.
En outre, malgré son ambiance rassurante "café de quartier réservé aux habitués", il est idéalement situé en plein centre de Royan, proche de la plage et des commerces.
Bref, nous ne manquerons pas d'y retourner, d'autant qu'on peut souvent y rencontrer le seul para d'1,62m !
Avis aux curieux : Il y a également une originalité présente dans ce lieu, mais… A vous de la découvrir.
