26/08/2026: Friendly place, very kind and smiling waiters and waitresses

16/08/2026: Pitt stop for a quick refreshment. Its a busy place and our server was busy but very efficient dealing with many orders all at once. Nice spot to people watch with locals.

24/08/2026: We went into this restaurant for a beer and a quick bite. We ordered a club sandwich, but unfortunately, the quality of the food was very disappointing. I couldn't finish my sandwich because the bread was soggy and completely soggy from the lettuce. The filling—chicken, tomatoes, and cheese—was very meager, with truly small portions. In terms of quality and presentation, it was more like an average fast-food meal than what you'd expect from a restaurant. The fries were also disappointing: overcooked, dry, and tasteless. On the other hand, the waitress was welcoming and friendly, and we have no complaints about the service. Unfortunately, pleasant service isn't enough to compensate for such poor food. Based on our experience, I don't recommend this restaurant.

26/07/2026: We stopped for a quick drink, and we were met by a visibly disgruntled waiter who seemed to be wasting his time serving us. No hello, no goodbye... However, the bill was immediately placed on the table. We had read excellent reviews and were planning to return for a meal. But given the reception, that won't be happening. Keep this up if your goal is to drive customers away; you're well on your way.

14/07/2026: Excellent mussels marinara and fries with a nice glass of white wine for €15.50, delicious homemade tart, friendly and smiling staff. Perfect. Thank you.

30/06/2026: Nice little restaurant with an ocean view, decent food, the flank steak was excellent and tender. The scallop tartare with its small scoop of lemon-basil ice cream was a truly surprising and delightful experience. Friendly staff.

27/06/2026: Despite the pleasant service, the salads were tasteless and not properly washed. A big disappointment.

04/09/2026: Passing through La Rochelle, we didn't know this restaurant. Originally planning a stop for drinks, we decided to stay for lunch. A homemade menu, fresh seafood, and very affordable prices—we had a wonderful time on the terrace. A special mention for Flo, the incredibly kind waiter! Thank you for your hospitality!

28/08/2026: We were surprised by the negative reviews of this restaurant. We went there several times during our stay in Saint Georges de Didonne and were very satisfied with both the food and the service. Our 5-year-old son (the little boy with the lollipop, a fan of grenadine and chocolate ice cream 😉) loved it. See you next summer! 😊

28/08/2026: I left their place and I was still hungry. All the specialty dishes come with alcohol. I ate a chicken fillet instead of mussels.

19/06/2026: We're always warmly welcomed, whether we've booked or not. For a €15 set menu, you can sometimes eat worse elsewhere. The menu changes frequently, there's no à la carte menu! But the food is good. I encourage you to go there...

17/08/2026: After being directed to the wrong table for oysters, a brunette woman approached us and publicly berated us, saying we had no business being at our table because what I ordered wasn't interesting to her. This place is truly one to avoid; they have absolutely no respect for their customers.

16/08/2026: Terrible businesswoman. My friend and I got seated at the wrong table to order oysters (the seating instructions were very poorly explained). My friend ordered shrimp. The woman came over and, in front of everyone, told us to leave that table, saying we weren't going to sit down for 7 euros. It was humiliating. Other customers at other tables invited us over and told us this was typical behavior from this woman. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I'm not just on vacation, believe me, I'm going to give this woman some serious publicity.

03/06/2026: We spent two nights and three days there and left feeling incredibly relaxed. The welcome was very friendly and courteous, the atmosphere was calm and very restful, our room was spacious and clean with a view of the phoenixes in the large garden and the pool, the beds were very comfortable, we really enjoyed the jacuzzi, the thalassotherapy treatments were excellent, and the restaurant was great too. Go for it, you won't be disappointed! 💣💯

05/05/2026: A very good Michelin-starred restaurant. The tasting menu was delicious and very reasonably priced. We received a very warm welcome and the service was impeccable. The intimate atmosphere was perfect for enjoying the dishes, amuse-bouches, and other petits fours. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a shame the restaurant has been permanently closed since the beginning of the year ☹️

21/08/2026: Arrived at 4 pm, a little earlier than usual. After ordering a Grimbergen amber ale for €9.80, I asked the waitress for a plate of oysters. She told me the oyster shucker wouldn't arrive for another hour, even though the menu clearly stated continuous service. As a regular customer, I found the waitress rather unfriendly. I had to pay for my order immediately upon receiving it. No special treatment for regulars. Yet, this establishment, ideally located opposite the entrance to the Gironde estuary, offers a magnificent setting. It's a shame the friendliness and service weren't up to par. So, I'll go and enjoy some oysters at Viviers Charentais in Saint-Palais, where a dozen is €8 cheaper than here.

16/08/2026: Terrible welcome, the waitress was incredibly unpleasant, no thanks, and a casual, nonchalant attitude. Unacceptable! It's a shame because the setting is lovely.

22/06/2026: Booked a room, and haven't noticed that there is no air conditioning. My mistake... But come on, how can you propose rooms without air conditioning, when it is literally +40 outside? That's disrespectful to your guests. Install air conditioning, or block the rooms for booking, when the temperature outside is 30+... Best regards.

09/06/2026: The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The rooms are clean and well laid out. However, the walls are paper-thin! The room was adjoining another room separated only by an uninsulated door, so daylight streamed in underneath, and the room was cleaned very early… whether you were in the adjoining room or not. The noise level in the common areas inevitably affected the rooms from 7:30 am onwards…
