24/08/2024: We were there as a family for a birthday and it was a great discovery! A hearty and delicious menu, prepared with farm products: starter, main course, dessert and aperitif! A restaurant with good value for money in a beautiful, quiet setting, with a good life in Périgueux and the surrounding area! The service was fast: but the same dish for everyone because the restaurant does not have a lot of staff! It didn't bother us because everyone loves duck breast as well as all the other products offered for starters and dessert! Don’t hesitate to stop by their store to buy local products! I highly recommend this restaurant!

26/07/2024: Nous sommes venu dîner le premier soir de notre séjour et nous avons adoré. La cuisine est délicieuse, raffinée, cuisinée avec amour et avec des produits de saison. La patronne est adorable, elle nous a expliqué chaque plat en détail, nous a conseillé le meilleur vin pour accompagner notre repas. C’est avec plaisir que nous souhaitions y retourner pour le dernier jour de notre séjour, malheureusement le restaurant est fermé. Je vous le recommande les yeux fermés, la cuisine est fine, exquise, et tout est fait maison avec des produits de qualité. La salle de restaurant est décorée avec goût, Bref, un grand merci et bravo pour votre cuisine et votre accueil.

08/09/2024: Based on the website we made a reservation by telephone for 8/9 at 8 pm. Stood in front of the restaurant at 8 p.m. Unfortunately closed. So very disappointing. Please update website!!

26/08/2024: This is already our third visit! The service is perfect, committed to satisfying all our requests! We like to find in the dishes a few hints that the chef distills about his origins in the North of France. A must to seduce your loved one, reserve the lovers' table...

21/09/2024: Les plats reste bon mais l’attente est longue dommage (manque de personnels) . Je vous le recommande si vous avez le temps.

08/09/2024: Une salade composée qui contient 90% de salade verte, un quartier de tomate et un 1/4 de tranche de jambon. Insuffisant pour 14.90€.

20/04/2024: Les 4 petits encornets à la catalane très mou genre caoutchouc et l’omelette aux cèpes pas de goût. Au final nous n’avons pas voulu ajouter 15€ pour deux desserts donc addition et pas de café.

13/09/2024: Visited last night. Poor food and no idea on presentation. The starters were served in small dessert bowls. These were full of uninteresting salad one with a small piece of French bread topped with goats cheese. The other with some mixed charcuterie around the top. No imagination whatsoever into presentation. The main feature was the salad which was not even mentioned on the menu. The restaurant was very busy with one waitress serving both the bar and the food area. Menus were on heavy blackboards carried to each table by the waitress. The main course we chose was confit de canard which we were told was served with potatoes. These arrived on cold plates with a pile of lukewarm penne pasta on the side covered in what might have been a mushroom sauce and some fried onions. The duck was fine but no better than what you buy in the supermarket and cook at home. Total cost including wine was €76.20. We mentioned to the waitress that the food was average but she wasn’t interested. I’m amazed at the fact the kitchen staff are so unaware of presentation and what goes well together. One of the other tables were also unhappy with their food and mentioned to the cook when he came to clear the table. I would not recommend this restaurant. The visit was disappointing.

21/09/2024: We were the only British people in the restaurant this lunchtime. From the moment we walked in we were treated with disdain. Our French isn't brilliant but we can structure sentences together. If you speak no French at all it would be difficult. We waited over 45 mins before we were given water and menus that were filthy. The tables hadn't been cleaned from previous diners. The glasses were dirty. The woman who appeared to be in charge was extremely rude to say the very least. When our food arrived it was thrown at us. If you are not French then don't go to this restaurant

18/09/2024: A rustic restaurant located in the middle of the Perigordian valleys, which allows you to enjoy a good, hearty and succulent meal while enjoying a beautiful panorama. Local products are what make the dishes of excellent quality. Very highly recommend.

17/09/2024: I think I got a dud room. It was small and outdated. There was a bad odor seemingly from the A/C that never subsided. The bathroom amenities had been updated but the walls looked like a child's art project. Thankfully, this is. It somewhere you stay to hang out in the room. The breakfast and hospitality were wonderful and the view on the river side is hard to beat. If you're considering staying here, don't be dissuaded by my review. Just ask for room 8 -- I got a leak when heading out and it looked beautifully updated complete with a river view.

30/08/2024: Very cute restaurant. No children's menu, my family sold us meat (well, only meat fat). Super good burger. Price too expensive for what it is. Tiramisu which is not one, my 3 speculoos balls and whipped cream
