04/09/2024: De passage à Périgueux, nous nous sommes posées sur cette place agréable pour dîner. Le personnel est accueuillant, sympas et souriant. Les salades généreuses et bonnes, qui correspondent à la description de la carte. L'attente était raisonnable. Nous avons passé une bonne soirée.

24/08/2024: L'attente est longue, trop longue Les plats sont d'une inégale saveur (= les frites sont bonnes mais le poisson est moins bon). L'endroit est beau et le personnel sympathique cependant.

14/09/2024: Après la balade jusqu'au château nous avons apprécié cette halte dans votre restaurant personnel très agréable nous avons très bien mangé. La salade périgourdine était copieuse et bonne. Je recommande.

13/09/2024: assiette anchaud, salade crudités/frites 2expressos,deux café liégeois 1/4pécharmant un verre de rosé 58.30E,personnel très sympa, la cuisine est bonne.

24/06/2026: Wow! We went here for lunch today to take advantage of their 2for1 tapas offer. Expecting casual dining of small plates we were blown away by what we received. Their ‘tapas’ menu is in reality a tasting menu of excellent quality. The dishes just kept coming. We were expecting 5 plates plus a desert but received 9. Each was excellent in flavours and presentation. My attempt at speaking French didn’t fool them and they willingly described each dish in English. If you’re in the area do give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed

06/05/2026: A true destination hotel! Whether for a meal or a weekend this hotel is fabulous. The decor is flamboyant and fun but the food is seriously good. An inventive menu featuring the best of the Perigord will delight all foodies. If staying, the pool is heated and the gardens are perfect for a lazy apero after hiking on the numerous forest trails around Saint Saud. For 2 weary hikers this was a lovely and unexpected find.

13/05/2026: The room was very very clean, no doubt there however, it is old building, shower is not a pleasant experience ( not enough water pressure) old timber floor squeaking while walking and most important, no lift so you have to carry your luggage 4 floors.

10/11/2025: What sets this hotel apart is the great staff and the excellent rooms. The staff go out of their way make guests happy and comfortable. It’s the little things like remembering our names and our morning coffee preferences. When we couldn’t get the tv working, they sent several people until it was fixed. Breakfast was also a highlight with abundant selections of everything. We ate one dinner and the meals were very good. Do visit the history museum and the nearby caves, Combarelles and Font du Gaume.

06/08/2024: Un dimanche soir, sans avoir réservé et pourtant, on nous a trouvé gentiment une table très bien placée. C'est bon et copieux. Le foie gras est très bien préparé. La vue est incroyable. Soleil couchant sur le Dordogne. Nous recommandons.

04/08/2024: Nous avons déjeuné dans ce restaurant avec une magnifique vue . Lee sevice était rapide et efficace Bon rapport qualité prix avec des produits locaux ( environ 30 E pour 2 plats et une eau pétillante ), plats copieux. Je recommande

05/09/2026: Just...for the 24/7 self-service vending machine...a chicken burger, without chicken, with a cheap store-brand bun, a slice of cheap cheddar cheese, a lettuce leaf, two cucumber slices...and really without a single piece of chicken, it's just outrageous, even if it's inexpensive. Disappointed, and they really need to do quality control in the kitchen.
