27/04/2026: It was recommended to us by the hotel La Maison des Teres, where we stayed. It was a big disappointment. Very slow service, we waited 15 minutes for a menu, 15 to take our order. The food was mostly tasteless.

21/04/2026: It's a restaurant! A little old-fashioned, but with all the right credentials. Obviously, the Choucroute 8 Garnitures takes center stage, especially since Alsatian cuisine isn't exactly known for its sheer number of dishes. The white asparagus is excellent, and the ham (the very good cooked ham) is the perfect accompaniment. Equally obvious: the Alsatian wine, of course!

04/05/2026: I cannot comment on the food, drinks, service or atmosphere. All these things could be excellent. However, I was staying in accommodation above this pub and at 6am on a Saturday morning in April, someone is outside dragging one chair at a time on the pavement. It is painstakingly noisy and unnecessary at that early hour. I checked at 8am and again at 9am and there were no customers. This early set up put me off going and is just unnecessary. I hope the owner will take note and cease this unnecessary action.

01/05/2026: I was served a frozen éclair, and when I asked about it, I was rudely told that this was normal. The same éclair was then served to me as a microwaved éclair, and it bore no resemblance to what I had ordered. Embarrassing.

01/05/2026: Incredibly unfriendly!! We were there on May 1st, admittedly a day when you'd expect a lot of tourists. It must have been around 9:30 am. We went into the shop with two small children and only wanted something to take away, but we would have also sat on the almost empty terrace in front of the shop. The woman practically threw us out, explaining in three languages ​​that she was alone and couldn't serve anyone else. After all, she'd already had three customers. It might be the best food in Colmar, but the service is abysmal. Perhaps it was just a one-off, but you can't make money like that.

10/05/2026: While visiting Alsace for a family holiday, we dined every evening for five days at Café Jupiler in Colmar, enjoying a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. All the ingredients were there for a wonderful experience: the staff were incredibly attentive and provided top-quality service, always with a smile and good humor. The menu was varied, and the dishes were delicious and generous. An unforgettable experience that added to our fond memories of Alsace. This establishment is more than worth a visit. We will gladly return without hesitation.

06/05/2026: Good evening, we stopped by on May 1st. As Belgians, we're regulars at this place. Huge disappointment! While the sign hasn't changed, they no longer have Jupiler beer, following the recent change of ownership. Once seated, we ordered what was on offer. It wasn't the same at all. Let's leave the wine to the French, but not the beer. We decided to eat in, as they have a beautiful terrace. The cuisine has changed drastically; my flambéed steak was practically devoid of garnish. The steak with hotel butter sauce wasn't bad, but it wouldn't have fed a pigeon. For an Alsatian specialty, they really need to stop using flambéed steak. We won't be going back. The loss of an institution...

11/12/2025: We ordered, among other things, a bacon and cheese sandwich that arrived half empty. We went to complain and were told they couldn't exchange it for another item. When they refused, I asked for a complaint form, which the manager denied me, and he also refused to give me his name. It was degrading treatment and a complete rip-off, as the advertising photo is misleading. The restrooms were also a disgrace in terms of hygiene. We will never return to this Burger King.

24/01/2026: We arrived from our trip hungry and were looking for a place to eat. Since it was in front of one of the main squares on Christmas Day and seemed like an inviting place, we went in to ask for information. We were judged for having luggage and treated rudely. If we wanted to read the menu, they told us to go outside to read the sign and turned their backs on us. Because of the way we were received, we chose another place for our Christmas dinner. I do not recommend it! Responding to the owner's comment, it wasn't four suitcases, it was just one small one and one larger one belonging to my friend. The nearby restaurants welcomed us very well. The language barrier is the worst excuse to use and is xenophobic, since I speak both languages ​​mentioned as I live in France, although with a more pronounced accent as it's not my first language. At no point was a waiting time mentioned; it's just an excuse to mask the disdain of the service, which was the real reason we chose not to stay.

08/02/2026: Welcoming place, large car park a bit bumpy but manageable if you drive slowly, nice bar and dance floor, cool staff, bouncer for security, themed evenings, covered smoking terrace, clean toilets, everything you need for a great night out 👍

I travel to different countries two or three times a year and have neither the time nor the obligation to learn every language. No one is obligated to learn something if they don't want to, just as no one is obligated to serve customers or accept money if they don't want to. Respect, however, is a duty, because we don't know each other, and I came to your shop as a visitor and expect to be treated with respect. I regret to see, however, that there have been other incidents of poor service in this shop. Four days ago, I visited myself and waited in line. When it was my turn, I asked a young employee if she spoke English, as I don't speak French, and she said "a little." I asked if the croissants were hot or cold, and she turned to an older colleague, who asked me if I perhaps spoke Italian. I said no and very politely asked both of them, "English, German, or Greek?" The young employee replied sarcastically, "French? Because you're in France?" So, my dear, if you ever go on holiday to England, America, Italy, or perhaps to Germany or Greece, will you learn all the languages ​​beforehand? Unacceptable behavior, an unsuitable employee for this position. Naturally, I left immediately and do not recommend this store, no matter how good the atmosphere or the products are. My experience was terrible and completely ruined my mood. I'm giving it two stars because her colleague at least showed a little willingness to help. Otherwise, I would have given it one.

10/04/2026: Worst service ive experienced, unnecessary facial expressions, rude and hostile and then completely ignored when someone else tried to order over us and we were pushed right to the back pf the queue all of a sudden. Food quite poor- sandwich and pretzels were stale (this was 2pm). Just shocking customer service, young girl would rather just talk to her colleagues than serve.
