07/07/2026: We were there during the most wonderful time of the year – Christmas. Feeling a bit hungry and thirsty, we stopped at this restaurant. From the outside, it looked cozy and inviting. Unfortunately, first impressions were deceiving. After we sat down, we ordered a glass of wine and two portions of Spätzle with Münster sauce. What was served were clearly precooked and partially burnt Spätzle, which had been reheated in the microwave. This intensified the burnt taste, and the dish was simply inedible for us. Initially, we only received one portion. We mentioned that we had ordered two. However, after tasting the food, we quickly realized we didn't want a second portion. We explained this and asked them to cancel the order. When we explained why we couldn't eat the food, the owner immediately became unfriendly. He claimed we were the only ones with a problem and that they had received only positive feedback for years. Instead of trying the dish himself or taking our criticism seriously, he asked other guests—who were clearly his friends or acquaintances—how they liked the food. They replied that it was good, but also left the burnt part of their portion on their plates. Despite this, both portions were listed on the bill. We complained again, explaining that in our opinion, we shouldn't even have to pay for the first portion, as the food was inedible. At this point, the owner became loud and very unpleasant, even threatening to call the police. His behavior was aggressive and disrespectful. To avoid further escalation, we ended up paying anyway. As we wished him a good day, we were thrown out of the restaurant. Afterwards, we read the reviews of this establishment. Many positive reviews refer only to the wine or the atmosphere; hardly anyone mentions the food. It's also striking that the owner often reacts aggressively, insultingly, and condescendingly to critical reviews. I'm curious to see how he'll respond to this review. Frankly, I'm already expecting another condescending, insulting, and aggressive reaction. My recommendation: Only visit this restaurant if you have no expectations of good food or respectful treatment of guests. Anyone looking for a cozy restaurant with good service should look elsewhere. P.S. to the owner: Giving guests the middle finger and shouting insults at them unfortunately conveys anything but a professional image.

21/05/2026: I passed this place and took a picture exactly this pic because I found it pretty, and got passively aggressively insulted by a staff woman for taking it. She said it loudly in front of other people clearly to make me feel bad. I guess she thought she could say it because she assumed I don’t speak French, well, you were wrong.. Faites attention quand vous insultez des gens que vous ne connaissez pas. Et apprenez à dire les choses directement si vous avez quelque chose à dire au lieu d’être une femme passive agressive et impolie.. Why are you not happy that people find something beautiful about the place you work at? Do you really think I have to ask permission to take a picture of a public place? Honestly, very sick and horrible manners for staff working in hospitality. Ew.

29/07/2026: I've been to Xtrem Fist Weekend a good dozen times over the past five years and always had a great time. However, an incident on Friday, July 24, 2026, left a very bad taste in my mouth, to the point that I doubt I'll ever go back. A guy tried to play with me, but I wasn't interested. As I always do in these situations, I politely declined. Yet, for some reason, he then refused to leave me alone. He started following me and whispering nasty remarks. He did this several times until I yelled at him to leave me alone. Even then, he continued to harass me. I approached a member of staff, I think his name was Steph, to explain what was happening. He completely ignored me. I then tried to go back to playing with my friends and forget about it, but I was too upset to enjoy the evening. This man continued to circle me in a targeted manner. Fortunately, several people witnessed his behavior, which reassured me, as I was beginning to wonder if I was overreacting. I finally decided to leave early, as it was clear this man wasn't going to stop harassing me and the staff wasn't going to do anything about it. The cashier was the same employee who had ignored me earlier, so I tried to explain what had happened. He replied that he recognized me from previous evenings, then casually said something like, "You can't save everyone." I've been into fisting for over 15 years and I attend parties in several countries around the world. This is the first time I've experienced anything like this. I would have simply appreciated it if the staff had asked this man to stop harassing me, or even removed him from the party. Unfortunately, nothing was done. I'm sad that I no longer feel safe in this club where I used to have so many great nights. I'm angry that I let this individual ruin my evening. And above all, I'm deeply hurt and disappointed that the staff chose to let this situation unfold without intervening.

22/06/2026: Because you can't give zero stars! I've never eaten such a bad baguette, it was inedible!! And I ordered the chef's special. I won't be setting foot in this place again anytime soon; the service and quality are deplorable. This bakery, if you can even call it that, is one to avoid!

31/07/2026: Had a coffee on the terrace. They tried to keep my kids from using the bathroom. Seriously.

20/07/2026: The service was disastrous. Either you take the phone and put the customer on hold, or you hang up and deal with them. She finally decided to do both, so naturally she asked me to repeat my order three times… I wasn't planning on having lunch here because a year ago the same nonchalant waitress burned the pizza I ordered. Unfortunately, they offered me a second chance, and I decided to give it another go. The result: an entire afternoon spent in the bathroom, and excruciating abdominal pain. Then I remembered all those damn flies landing on the pastries… I think we should call Philippe; it would be a great first episode for a bakery nightmare.

18/07/2026: Excellent homemade Liège coffee. The furniture is a bit dated, but the welcome and service are pleasant and impeccable.

10/08/2026: We were looking for authentic Alsatian tarte flambée, and we found it here. It was incredibly delicious, and for me, it was like stepping into a slice of Alsace. The service and staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to please every guest. We sat outside and could enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We had special requests for our drinks, and these were fulfilled without hesitation. The prices were reasonable and absolutely justified by the quality. We'll definitely be back!

08/03/2026: Absolutely revolting experience. (March 8, 2026; 3:30 PM) While I was in the restroom, a tattooed employee literally forced the door open to physically remove me. This is a blatant violation of privacy and a complete lack of professionalism. I have never seen an establishment treat its customers with such contempt and aggression. If you value your safety and dignity, avoid this place. Apparently, management allows its staff to act like lawless bouncers, even in the most private areas. A total disgrace to the neighborhood. ABSOLUTELY AVOID.

03/01/2026: The staff are pleasant, but the cocktails are mediocre. The cocktail menu is very extensive, but the basics are missing.

29/07/2026: The tartare was very well prepared. As for the rest of the menu…overrated. Professional service and a very nice terrace. I tried it based on social media recommendations…I expected better.

28/07/2026: Was here for dinner with my family. Expected quite s lot of the place but the food was nowhere near are expectations and didn’t match the price point at all. The waiter was rather rude and too busy with other things it seemed. Around the main course we overheard a father asking to borrow the toilet for his 3-4 year old son who seemed to need a toilet rather bad. The answer was no which for us was the tipping point. Can’t recommend this place and suggest you find something better and a better price and most likely much better service.

02/08/2026: We had a very disappointing experience at James’On Pub. We asked for a table for six people, and the waiter, a blond young man, was extremely rude. He offered us the only table in direct sunlight, even though it was 33°C outside. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the pub was about 75% empty, yet he insisted that this was the only table he could offer. There was absolutely no flexibility or willingness to help. Fortunately for us, we went to the place next door and immediately found a table for six in the shade. James’On Pub lost six customers simply because of poor customer service. A little courtesy and flexibility would have made all the difference.

06/04/2026: We waited an hour to be served tarte flambée, a dish that is actually very quick to make...

09/06/2026: Excellent! A simple and efficient welcome, very clean and lovely rooms. The restaurant offered quick service and sufficient food so you didn't need to leave the premises. I recommend it.

05/06/2026: Excellent. Quiet. Spotless room. Friendly staff. Generous breakfast. Dinner served by the chef was a delight! In short, I highly recommend it. 👍
