14/04/2026: I had a very pleasant (too short) stay. The welcome was charming, the room very clean, spacious, and quiet with a balcony overlooking the garden. I had the pleasure of dining at the hotel restaurant: Châteauroux trout with butter and toasted slivered almonds, served with braised seasonal vegetables – a delight! I highly recommend this establishment and can't wait to return soon! Thank you for this rejuvenating break.

22/03/2026: We had a lovely stay in a charming little hotel at the foot of the slopes. The rooms have a beautiful view of the mountains and valley and are impeccably clean. The hosts are incredibly kind, attentive, and very caring. The food is excellent, featuring local and northern specialties. Another highlight is their wine and beer cellar, where enthusiasts will find a wide selection. Excellent value for money. We are delighted and thank you again for everything. We will gladly return. I highly recommend this hotel; you won't be disappointed.

22/03/2026: Frankly, I was very disappointed with my experience. The service really needs improvement: the staff were unpleasant, unfriendly, and made me feel like I was bothering them. The wait was long even though it wasn't very busy. The atmosphere was also completely lacking. The place felt cold and unwelcoming, making it uncomfortable and discouraging to stay or return. In the end, it was a rather impersonal and unprofessional experience. I do not recommend it.

23/06/2026: New waiter, smiling but only with whomever he wants… I waited 15 minutes, he walked back and forth, saw the empty table, and didn't come over even though he went to sit next to it… I preferred that charming lady, always elegant and smiling

CORRECTION: Since the change of ownership: the service, the quality of the beer, the atmosphere, and the ambiance of the place have reached exceptional heights. Worthy of the rise of the old Chaillol. I could spend every Wednesday afternoon here. Thank you for everything.

10/11/2025: Thank you to the restaurant owners for their warm welcome and kindness; as we say back home, they treated us to a wonderful meal. I highly recommend the cheese selection, especially the crème brûlée—wow, excellent! High-quality products, you won't be disappointed. I'll be back.

23/05/2026: A fantastic welcome, even though we arrived a bit early due to the weather (riding a motorcycle in the hail was rough). The rooms are simple but spacious and spotlessly clean. The restaurant is just like the hotel: quality dishes at reasonable prices, as are the drinks. In short, an ideal place to then explore the area on a motorcycle ride. Looking forward to returning!

17/05/2026: After a four-day trek around Lake Serre-Ponçon, I had the pleasure of discovering the Hôtel-Restaurant de La Poste. The initial welcome was a little lukewarm, but the rooms were clean and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. One small point to note: the walls are quite thin, so the hotel can be a bit noisy depending on the neighbors. However, the real highlight of this place is undoubtedly the restaurant. Meat lovers will be in heaven: quality ingredients, generous portions, and just the right amount of food. And above all, don't miss the homemade desserts, which are truly worth the trip! I didn't have time to take a picture. A simple and authentic place, ideal after several days of hiking around the lake.

19/01/2026: A delightful experience, it was great, the staff even taught us how to gut a trout.

24/08/2025: After an unsuccessful fishing trip, we bought two trout anyway. The vendor put them in a basin right in front of us to "electrify" them. My children were shocked... then after a few minutes, he gutted them in front of us and placed the still-moving hearts of the trout on the edge of the sink. Second shock. I couldn't eat them that evening 😣... neither could one of my sons. Perhaps this practice is common and normal, but I wasn't expecting it. Neither was my husband. The place is pleasant nonetheless; several people managed to catch several trout. If you catch the trout, you pay €6. If you buy it without having caught it, you pay €5. For fishing enthusiasts, it's certainly more suitable than for us, a family.

11/06/2026: Lovely campsite just behind the lake. Excellent location for cycling. The campsite has a load of suggested routes which you can download the gpx files for making route planning so easy. The facilities are quality and there's two bars/restaurants by the lakeside.

06/06/2026: Stayed a few nights in campsite, great individual pitches, separated with hedges and trees. We were near the only ones. Nice swimming pool

28/09/2025: What a memorable experience at the Edelweiss Restaurant! I ordered a moussaka, hoping for an explosion of Greek flavors, but what a surprise: potatoes as crunchy as forgotten potato chips at the back of a cupboard. My partner, perplexed, dared to ask if this was normal. The waitress, lovely but overwhelmed, sent the plate back to the kitchen. And then, drumroll please, the chef himself bursts in, like a hero of a culinary tragedy, to defend his crunchy potatoes, a sacred recipe for the past 20 years! According to him, melt-in-your-mouth is for the weak; real moussaka is crunch or nothing. The result? A plate sent back, a disgusted partner who settled for dessert (decent, but well, it's hard to mess up a cheese platter), and me finishing my meal as a spectator to a gastronomic drama. Advice to the owner: a little humility and a thermometer for your potatoes might prevent a dinner from turning into a philosophical debate. We'll come back... or maybe not!

09/04/2026: I used to like your merguez sausages, but my last two purchases were a huge disappointment: lots of inedible, rubbery bits inside. Organic is great, but it shouldn't be an excuse to do whatever you want!
