26/11/2025: The atmosphere is nice, the service is fast with a smile, and the prices are affordable.

26/04/2026: I had already visited years ago (2015, when it was still the Chalet Hotel). Since then, there has been a change of ownership, but the place remains just as lovely. I certainly wasn't disappointed. The welcome, the food, the kindness of everyone, and the possibility of staying as long as you like. It's an address that comes at a price, admittedly, but sometimes you have to treat yourself to these kinds of pleasures. Thank you.

04/04/2026: We booked the place for two nights with our friends for our 30th birthdays at the end of March! A real place to live with very comfortable rooms! I highly recommend it, both for the service and the exceptional location! A thousand thanks again to the whole team! Special mention to Fredo who treated us to delicious meals all weekend!

03/06/2026: It had been a long time since we'd eaten at Flunch; we'd always found the quality mediocre. But on Sunday, what a surprise! Everything was excellent. The savory crepe was superb, and the meat and vegetable side dishes were superb. I was really delighted with my meal. The person who cleared the table was very friendly and polite. The place was clean and hygienic. The person making the desserts was very friendly and smiling. A pleasant rediscovery! Thank you.

10/05/2026: Good value for money and always something to eat with plenty of choice... Aesthetically, I find the concept a bit outdated! They smile often and get the job done. The desserts, however—crepes, waffles, etc.—are generous and delicious 👍

14/03/2026: Basic but disappointing food. The pizzas looked sad, and the pasta with cheese was mostly butter. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with managing the service. Coffee was reasonably priced, and water was free.

26/01/2026: We hadn't even tasted the food yet and we already wanted to leave. We were a table of 15 who were going to order a lot, but that didn't stop the servers from being unpleasant. It wasn't possible to make even the smallest change to the burgers despite our allergies. The waitress's responses were curt. We didn't feel welcome at all. 26/01/2026: An arrogant boss or manager who likes to badmouth his customers at the checkout; it's just awkward when you're standing right there. Personally, I won't be eating there again; there are far better restaurants in Vars where you get friendly service.

08/04/2026: A lovely little restaurant and café; the owner lovingly prepares everything from scratch, she's delightful, and the dishes are absolutely delicious as well as beautiful! Definitely check it out if you have the chance :)

08/04/2026: A wonderful experience, the manager is extremely friendly and communicative, everything is homemade with love, the dishes are beautifully presented and delicious, the interior is also magnificent, I recommend it 100%.

05/04/2026: Catastrophic. It's important to highlight the good experiences, but also to share the bad ones, especially for a restaurant that presents itself as a 3-star establishment. During our visit, the service proved particularly disappointing. After ordering two courses, my companion's was served, while I was informed at the last minute that my dish was no longer available. I then had to wait almost 40 more minutes before being served. Regarding the dishes: the duck breast, ordered rare, arrived well-done. The cocktail, on the other hand, was simply undrinkable. While the other dishes weren't bad in themselves, the overall experience fell far short of the expected standard for a 3-star restaurant. We also spoke with other customers who shared the same disappointment regarding the overall quality of the experience. Fortunately, the resort is full of other quality restaurants, often more modest in appearance, but far superior in terms of service and cuisine.

05/04/2026: Very disappointed. My dish arrived, but my companion's was no longer available. She had to wait about 40 minutes while I left my plate aside so we could eat together. The duck breast, which I ordered rare, was well-done. We reported these issues to the staff, and they told us it was due to the end of the season. This explanation is hardly acceptable and in no way justifies this level of service. An experience far below the expected standard for this type of establishment.

12/04/2026: Booked a table, inside looks great homely… waiter sat us down blah blah blah… 1hr later finally took our order for drinks and food. Around 30-40 minutes food arrived, all I can say is, it’s not worth the wait burnt fish burger, steaks were nothing but fat and chewy. I wouldn’t recommend this place, maybe because it was the end of ski season but yeah money down the drain.

24/03/2026: Excellent place! I hesitated to book because of the negative reviews. But I don't understand all the bad reviews... We ate there on a Friday evening, right in the middle of school holidays. The worst (or best) night for restaurant owners. The restaurant was packed, with two seatings that evening. That's normal. So there's the context. There were five of us: two adults and three children. We were very well served (the waiter was super friendly, very understanding and attentive with the children, and full of humor for the adults). The owner was also very kind. The children's menus are very generous (the price is more than reasonable as a result), and the adults had fondue and a hot box. Honestly, it's one of the best Savoyard fondues we've ever had 🥰 A real treat. The same goes for the other dishes, including the desserts. We'll be back, thank you team!

13/08/2025: Tartiflette, this dish is normally simple and satisfying. Very disappointed. The potatoes were barely cooked. Normally it's rich and delicious, but this was more like boiled potatoes, a little cheese, and very few bacon bits, which were actually matchstick-sized 😕. The service was quite slow because they were supposedly a large group. We didn't see any large group. The owner didn't even ask if we were satisfied. What a shame.

13/08/2025: Arrived at 7:15 PM, left at 9:15 PM: one dish. Needless to say, the service was incredibly slow. 15 minutes for an aperitif, we should have left... oh well. The main course arrived, the wine was forgotten, the tasteless dish was swallowed, the wine still hadn't arrived, and then never was. Very mediocre service overall. The atmosphere at the twelve tables (except for the first three served) was one of gloom, dismay, and dejection. My wife's dish was too slow and frozen, so no dessert, no coffee. Glad to have left and walked out into the rain. Avoid (the restaurant, not the rain).

28/04/2026: A wonderful time, the food was absolutely delicious, and the team was fantastic.

20/04/2026: Very expensive for very basic dishes that are just an assembly of ingredients, no cooking involved. Avoid this place.

27/02/2026: The problem with restaurants that have a monopoly on a particular area. Being the only restaurant in the resort, we're forced to eat there if we don't bring our own food. The ordering and kitchen organization needs improvement. Dishes arrive staggered over an hour; one day the pizzas are late, another day the fries. The managers' response: you can go somewhere else. Of course, you can, but it's not easy when you arrive by shuttle and the nearest restaurants are much further away. In the end, you get cold food of mediocre quality, but the children have to eat. If possible, we'll avoid it, or perhaps when the management finally relinquishes their probably profitable business... On the positive side: Suzanne, the waitress, who does her best, and the magnificent view.

24/02/2026: An unreasonable wait, 45 minutes for a pizza, and to top it off, today, February 24, 2026, we were told the kitchen was 'closing' and no more orders could be placed!!! After a long morning of skiing, lunch was impossible. Staff shortages??? Poor management?? It's high time Chalet des Plagnes hired more staff, I think!!!
