10/03/2026: Good place for a short break after ski 🎿

07/03/2026: A very disappointing experience. Apart from the waiter who greeted us and was very kind, the rest of the staff was particularly unpleasant. We came for crepes as an afternoon snack and simply took our time eating them. Meanwhile, the staff kept giving us insistent looks, clearly impatient for us to pay. We definitely felt like we were bothering them and being rushed out. When it came time to pay the bill, a woman even whispered inappropriately that we would only pay after an hour. This kind of remark is frankly unacceptable and very unprofessional. To top it all off, the pizzas were really very small for the price. Between the cold welcome and the unjustified prices, the experience was truly disappointing.

04/01/2026: A warm welcome from both the staff and the owners, Michel and Emilie. We dined at the restaurant where the food was high-quality and homemade. The staff was attentive and the service was top-notch! New Year's Eve went very well with a special menu for the occasion. Le Petit Cerf has become our go-to place. We were lucky enough to stay two nights thanks to some cancellations. The rooms are cozy, the bedding impeccable, and the decor tastefully chosen! We will definitely be back! 26/01/2026: We hadn't even tasted the food yet and we already wanted to leave. We were a table of 15 who were going to order a lot, but that didn't stop the servers from being unpleasant. It wasn't possible to make even the smallest change to the burgers despite our allergies. The waitress's responses were curt. We didn't feel welcome at all. 26/01/2026: An arrogant boss or manager who likes to badmouth his customers at the checkout; it's just awkward when you're standing right there. Personally, I won't be eating there again; there are far better restaurants in Vars where you get friendly service.

31/01/2026: Never had so little space on the table on a restaurant, very french bur this was another level( no place to stay nor to eat normally, and we were 5 in a table that was supposed for 7, luckily the other 2 didn’t come…) We should have just left. Very disrespectfull. The food was ok, but nothing special, prices like in any other restaurant. Service poor, no attention to the client. First and last time there, sorry for the money spent.

18/09/2025: It is clearly noted that service is open until 1:30 p.m. and yet we arrived at 1:40 p.m. and there were very few people, and despite this we were accepted and very well received!!! The boss is a very pleasant, kind, smiling Mr. Slim, who often comes to ask us if everything is okay! Good food, thank you again

07/07/2025: We came here for the first time during our vacation two years ago. The pizzas were way overcooked, the tops were black and inedible. We came back today thinking that maybe we had come here once when there were a lot of people, so maybe we had forgotten about the state of the pizza, but this time no, and the pizzas were in the same state. In the end, more than one pizza wasted, and because it was inedible. I really don't recommend it for pizzas anyway.

06/07/2025: Extremely disappointed, Carpaccio served frozen under the pretext that health officials recommend buying frozen carpaccio, but it was served frozen, tasteless and full of water. This is the response of a boss who pays little attention to his customers, sending his waitress to give such an answer!

22/08/2025: The man was appalling. At the end of the meal, after imposing the dessert menu, he made numerous disparaging remarks about hikers, even going so far as to say that "people like us" didn't allow him to make a living. We left feeling like we were just a cash cow. The food was okay, nothing special.

16/08/2025: Very unpleasant welcome and service. The gentleman made us feel unwelcome under the pretext that we didn't consume enough according to him. He complained from start to finish, sending us little digs. Hikers not welcome, credit cards refused based on the customer's appearance. Food neither good nor bad.

26/02/2026: Frankly, I'm very disappointed with the "Grand Cabane" pizza, even though it's advertised as the restaurant's specialty. The wait was far too long and the toppings were really insufficient, which is a shame. For the same price, I think you can easily find better elsewhere. The only positive point: the staff are pleasant.

13/08/2025: Tartiflette, this dish is normally simple and effective. Very disappointed. Potatoes barely cooked well. Normally it's greasy and good, here it was more like boiled potatoes, a little cheese and very little bacon which was actually matchsticks 😕service quite slow because supposedly a large table. Didn't see the large table. The owner didn't even ask us if it went well. Too bad.

13/08/2025: Arrived at 7:15 PM, left at 9:15 PM: one dish. Needless to say, the service was incredibly slow. 15 minutes for an aperitif, we should have left... oh well. The main course arrived, the wine was forgotten, the tasteless dish was swallowed, the wine still hadn't arrived, and then never was. Very mediocre service overall. The atmosphere at the twelve tables (except for the first three served) was one of gloom, dismay, and dejection. My wife's dish was too slow and frozen, so no dessert, no coffee. Glad to have left and walked out into the rain. Avoid (the restaurant, not the rain).

27/08/2025: Had the Salad Montagnarde, a delicious fruity dish. Delicious and healthy. Excellent service, good coffee.

28/07/2025: Incredible composition on the plates, diversity and fresh products, originality both in presentation and in taste.

06/03/2026: The room is very comfortable, the staff friendly and always smiling. If I happen to be in the area again, I'll definitely stay here again! For those who don't appreciate the noise of the N94, which, by the way, is the main road in the valley, get some custom-made earplugs! They're much more effective than the colored ones sold in pharmacies. I can't hear the cars or any noisy neighbors. Neither here, nor at home in the Paris region.

27/02/2026: The hotel reception is extremely unfriendly and, despite a cancellation made 8 days in advance, refused to issue a refund for one of the two reservations made at the same time and at the same price… Avoid at all costs! Response to the establishment: - The peremptory tone of your response demonstrates your disrespectful attitude towards customers… - I am Mr. T.'s colleague who organized a ski trip. My colleague didn't notice the restriction because the price was the same as my reservation… I therefore feel responsible for his mistake based on your misleading pricing. - If you consider the return of a customer to your network a threat, I suggest you find another line of work.

28/01/2026: We ate there twice during our stay. The pizzas are very good and the chicken burger is excellent! The service is quick and everyone is served at the same time. The waitress is lovely and very friendly. Best of luck for the season!
