17/07/2026: I stopped by this restaurant and I wasn't disappointed. Upon entering, I received a warm welcome from the staff who seated me in the garden (it's the coolest spot around the tree). My order was delivered very quickly, which was surprising given the impressive number of customers that day. The quality of the food also surprised me, as most of the dishes and desserts are homemade. In short, it's a restaurant worth trying, and their French toast is a must-try too! 🤤

A regular customer for many years and never disappointed… in summer the terrace is simply incredible, and in winter the interior is cozy and warm… one of the best restaurants in the area!

21/08/2026: I've been to this brasserie several times, both for a meal and for a drink after work, and I've never been disappointed. The food is very good and the atmosphere is always pleasant. I especially wanted to leave a quick note to highlight the kindness of the entire team, with a special mention for Mouna. She has always been lovely, responsive, and attentive to us. She has always made sure that my colleagues and I could come for a drink after work and have a great time, which is truly appreciated. It's this kind of welcome and these little touches that make you want to come back. Thank you to the whole team, and especially thank you to Mouna for her kindness and good humor! 😊

06/09/2026: I understand that this restaurant is about to close (in 3 weeks according to the manager). I was extremely disappointed with the service, waiting over an hour and a half for lunch. The menu selection is very limited. How can they charge €45 for a set menu when the starters and main courses are of such poor quality? There's no longer any children's entertainment on weekends, so it's safe to say we miss the old Quai Ouest.

06/09/2026: Great moment! The menue is simple but delicious, defiantly worth stopping by! Atmosphere is great and service very pro. Delicious food (very tasty) and moment. We’ve been there on Saturday night, we did booked these place and had the full menu

23/08/2026: We left Paris and had planned to have dinner at Paulette's this Sunday, August 23rd, as indicated on their website, which stated they were open until 1:00 AM. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we found Paulette's closed. It's a shame, especially in 2026, that communication is still so poor. A lack of professionalism. There were eight of us.

28/08/2026: Excellent! We stopped there because it was close to our hotel. We received a very warm welcome, and the burger and fries were excellent, with homemade mayonnaise. And all that for €30 for two! Highly recommended!

01/09/2026: The staff is pleasant. However, the quality and quantity are really lacking. The menu even gives the impression of being unclean. And when you order meat, you at least expect a proper knife to cut it correctly. For the same price, you can find much better places elsewhere. First and last time at this restaurant.

31/08/2026: We weren't able to get the tender flank steak and unlimited fries for only €13.90. It feels like false advertising. The online reservation had been accepted, however, upon arriving at the restaurant, the waitress explained that she had accepted our reservation for the flank steak, but that they didn't actually serve it. We had to choose something else, and we didn't receive a word of apology, nothing at all! We could have had unlimited fries, but no, that would have been a gesture of goodwill towards the customers. I'm disappointed by this way of operating at Hippopotamus.

05/05/2026: On a Saturday afternoon, we arrived for lunch at La Tête Noire restaurant in Marnes-la-Coquette. Service was prompt, and we were among the first to order. The quality of the food was quite average, more in keeping with the standards of a brasserie/bistro with constant service. Small scallops, simply fried, with a plain, unimaginative mashed potatoes. Eggplant with ham on top. The elevated atmosphere of the dining room, the table setting, the staff's ceremonious manner, and the abundance of decorations raised expectations of fine cuisine, but the reality turned out to be a simple brasserie. It's important to note that this is the only "restaurant" in the area. Perhaps there's not enough competition. It could be better!

05/05/2026: Lunch on the terrace in the shade of the trees; the terrace is quiet and very pleasant. The pâté to share was very good. The duck breast was cooked perfectly. The rhubarb crumble of the day was delicious. The service was friendly and very efficient.

24/07/2026: For me, the café is quite remarkable, and the managers and servers are very interesting and intelligent in their service. They demonstrate exquisite customer service skills and a mastery of the tools and risks involved in hospitality and customer relations. The customer experience is very pleasant and satisfying, marked by the longevity of the human contact, an unparalleled and extraordinary humility, and intellectual honesty that surpasses their communication skills. They possess a competence rooted in social activism and a rare curiosity. The server is good in their personal, political, and social convictions. The prices are reasonable and appropriate, and the atmosphere is friendly, generous, and kind. Thank you to my colleagues from earlier today, and especially for the trust, the welcome, the recognition, the responsiveness, the warmth, and the opportunity to question and reflect on my creative ideas. 21/07/2026: Excellent restaurant! We received a very warm welcome and top-notch service: a smiling, pleasant, and attentive team. Despite arriving without a reservation, they managed to find us a table. A great find. I have absolutely no complaints and highly recommend it!

15/06/2026: Two cold roast beef with mayonnaise, one chocolate mousse, and a quarter bottle of rosé for €53. Far too expensive. Perhaps there was a mistake (deliberate?) on the bill, requiring cash payment. No wonder there were only four of us...
