26/09/2024: We chances our arm for dinner at Le Genty Home and boy, were we glad we did! It’s a gorgeous setting with plenty of space between tables and a lovely, welcoming host, Chantal. The ambience was great, and then came the food which was superb! We went for the Chef’s Menu, and each dish was a delight. From the white fish starter, to the beautifully cooked veal, and accompanying veg, to the featherlight dessert of puff pastry, vanilla cream and mirabelles. At a cost of €36 a head, this was truly outstanding value. Chantal also recommended a pinot noir which went with the fish and the veal, so if you’re unsure of your wine selection, make sure to seek her advice! I’d absolutely recommend Le Genty Home, so much so, we’re going to try and get back in before heading home to Ireland.

I found the welcome super warm having come with my little dog who was accepted straight away. I recommend this little restaurant where the waitresses and the boss are absolutely kind...

17/09/2024: This is the 'go to' place when we visit Dinard. We last visited in 2017. We tried twice more in 2019 and 2020 but had left it too late to book a table such is its popularity. This is our first visit since the whole world seemingly closed during the pandemic and nothing has changed... still excellent in every way. The service from the young waitress was impeccable and she is a credit to the establishment. We started off with the fried squid and my partner had the crab. For mains, I had the monkfish and my partner had the duck. We finished off with a tarte tartin and the lemon fondant. All six dishes were superb. Please do yourself a favour when you are next in Dinard and book a table here. You will not be disappointed. Many thanks to all.

14/09/2024: Exceptional restaurant for its setting, the quality of the welcome, the service and the cuisine. To do and do again, we returned there a second time in the week because the place charmed us so much. “I’m going to miss the little butter.”

10/09/2024: Wow! It's delicious. Gourmet friends, here is the best creperie in Brittany. So, yes, I haven't done them all, but in my heart, this is definitely the best one. The crepes are delicious and the staff are extremely friendly. I highly recommend this place if you want to tickle your taste buds.

25/08/2024: The menu offered by the Méson Chalut restaurant is unique in Saint-Malo: a flawless menu, refined cuisine and high-quality local products. The herbs and flowers are picked in the garden of the owners, a couple very invested in a sustainable and local approach. The chef's experience in renowned establishments is reflected in the composition of the dishes. The service is professional and warm. One of the most beautiful addresses in Saint-Malo!

17/09/2024: From the moment we entered the restaurant, greeted by a delightful waiter the experience was fantastic. I ordered a rose but couldn’t decide which to have , the owner brought two to sample which wasn’t an issue . We got little fish cakes as a complementary starter . Home made and delicious. The staff and owner are so lovely , giving information on local products . I had Fish & chips .. the fish was beautiful the salad fresh and veg just superb . My partner had the Steak and chips which he said was the best he’d had in a long time. We eat slog out on our travels in France as we also have a home here . Definitely a restaurant that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.. thank you

07/09/2024: We arrived without reservation at 12.20 and were lucky to get the last table in this very popular restaurant, very conveniently located on our journey south from Roscoff.. The lunch was delicious and served with great charm by our lovely waiter. I really enjoyed the steak frites and the crème brûlée which followed, well I would go back for that alone :) Also worth noting that we enjoyed great value for money here, €53 for two courses each, one glass of wine and a bottle of mineral water. Et merci pour le petit cadeau, a little pineapple rum :) Highly recommended, advise to book ahead.

03/09/2024: We had dinner at Le Bistro Volney last Sunday, it was very busy, the food was excellent and there was plenty of wine to choose from. The Maitre d has very good English and could explain the menue. I was feeling very hot during the meal and they were able to move us to a table by the entrance. If you go on a Sunday I'd recommend booking in advance.
