18/07/2026: Had two gluten free crepes. Very nice and reasonably priced. With a nice view of the fountain and near the park. Staff were nice and spoke good English. Would recommend if in the area especially if you are celiac.

19/04/2026: Superb discovery of this restaurant, ideally located in the center of Grenoble. The dishes are reminiscent of those from restaurants of a few decades ago. It's refreshing to find real French cuisine, compared to the fast food that now dominates the scene. A big thumbs up for the decor and the level of service.

16/07/2026: A welcoming restaurant with an interesting and, above all, appetizing menu. The staff were friendly and the service was good. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful, which we appreciated. Our à la carte dinner was very good; I tried the surprising duck burger, which was quite good with the refined taste of an excellent cheese sauce. I have some reservations about the dessert, as I wanted the cream puffs with praline. I received the puffs, but I'm still waiting for the praline, which was in very small quantities. Furthermore, for the price, the desserts were rather small. That said, I'm giving it 4 stars because, overall, we enjoyed the taste of the main courses, which were above average.

11/07/2026: A restaurant with either an air-conditioned dining room or a shaded terrace, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal! No doubt about it, everything is homemade! Just looking at it makes your mouth water! Here are some photos of dishes like trout, tartare, and burgers, accompanied by salads and followed by a gourmet coffee!

17/07/2026: We were passing through today and were looking for something to eat at 9:15 pm. Google Maps led us to this restaurant. We arrived without a reservation and it was full, but we were still greeted warmly and a table was prepared for us. The food was excellent, unfortunately too much for us. The prices are reasonable and the service was top-notch. Very friendly and attentive. We hardly had to wait for our food. Highly recommended...

14/07/2026: A hearty and delicious local menu. Pleasant and quick service. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the Royans ravioli gratin. Easily accessible, near the train station.

30/06/2026: What a great find! Passing through at the end of my motorcycle road trip, I truly enjoyed everything here. The location, quite secluded in Bois Barbu, is peaceful and perfect for relaxing. I love the layout of both the grounds and the inn itself. My room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The comfort is definitely appreciated. The half-board meals are home-cooked, prepared with quality ingredients. The dishes are appetizing and delicious. A garage is available for bicycles and motorcycles, which is a nice touch. A place to definitely remember in the area!

30/06/2026: What a pleasure it was to stay at the Auberge des Montauds! We received a warm, welcoming, and friendly reception that immediately made us feel at home. Located above Villard-de-Lans, the inn offers a peaceful setting in the heart of nature. If you're looking for tranquility, greenery, and a real breath of fresh air, you'll be delighted. It's also a little paradise for motorcyclists. Our room, while modest in size, was very comfortable and perfectly suited to our stay. We also greatly appreciated the shaded terrace, ideal for enjoying the excellent half-board meals, which were generous and carefully prepared. Breakfast was equally delicious, varied, and plentiful—the perfect way to start the day. A big thank you to the entire team for their kindness and hospitality. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and will gladly return to continue exploring this magnificent region. Brigitte & Serge

23/03/2026: Yeah, it was OK. It had 3 weird mc Donald's style screens to order food which seemed ridiculous in such a small place, just want to order at the bar from a human. Burgers a bit too rare for me and hella expensive, but I guess you're in the mountains, music banging like a rave when there's only 3 people in there. So... yeah... alright, not great.

12/07/2026: L’Ambroisie is that rare gem we all dream of having in our garden… Saturday evening, 6:45 pm, a spontaneous dinner: finding a table seemed like an impossible mission. After yet another rejection elsewhere, chance led us here without us knowing what to expect. Its Michelin star reassured us, and the incredibly warm welcome on the phone convinced us. And what a revelation! I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this time… "let's take the time." It was absolutely flawless from beginning to end. The team, exceptionally professional, took meticulous care of everything. On the plate and in the glass, it was pure poetry, enhanced by the words that accompanied each course of the meal—right down to the delicate "little cake that says goodbye" that we took home. Visually stunning, each bite is an explosion of flavors, a perfectly balanced combination that literally transported me. I hadn't experienced such a culinary revelation since my experience at Les Morainières (which has since earned its second star). And that's exactly what I wish for L'Ambroisie, which has already won its second star in my heart. 💖 Wishing you all the best and congratulations! You've won me over. 🥰😍 Audrey and Dominique
