15/05/2026: We loved it!! A wonderful discovery: I'd heard about it, so we went with friends last night. There were six of us, and everyone was delighted with this little gem run by a lovely family. From the cocktails to the dessert, everything was perfect! The service, the quality of the food, the portions—it was flawless: we had excellent cocktails, a selection of super tasty tapas, and what can I say about the paella? Absolutely amazing! We loved the concept of having the pan brought to the table; we were able to have three helpings, the portions are generous—don't change a thing! We give it a 200% thumbs up and recommend it!! Thank you for your kindness; we were transported to sunny climes thanks to you.

26/05/2026: We spent a weekend at La Ferme du Bois Barbu. The location and setting are exceptional, and the welcome was warm and friendly. Roxanne was always available to answer our questions and meet our needs. The rooms were lovely, and the chef, Nicolas, prepared a delicious meal with great generosity. A truly wonderful and authentic weekend, beautifully organized! I highly recommend it. Dominique

10/05/2026: We had a great lunch here after a morning of moving house. They were friendly and welcoming even though it was nearly 2pm when we arrived it was not a problem for us to eat lunch. The burgers were excellent as was my plat du jour. Also the chips were delicious!! Service was very friendly and the proprietor is delightful. We will be going back!

19/04/2026: Back to "Le Mot Passant" and it was another wonderful experience. A warm and attentive welcome immediately puts you at ease. The atmosphere truly gives the impression of "leaving home," of escaping for the duration of a meal, which is particularly enjoyable in its unpretentious setting. As for the food, we opted for a Savoyard hamburger and an andouillette sausage: two generous, flavorful, and well-prepared dishes that reflect genuine expertise. In short, an address we wholeheartedly recommend for a pleasant time over a delicious meal.

26/05/2026: An exceptional setting for this restaurant, whose terrace is an oasis of greenery. As for the cuisine of the young chef Manon, it is generous and delicious. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything is perfect!

11/04/2026: It was a wonderful discovery! The cuisine is refined, the balance between flavors and textures is perfect! A true culinary work of art. The two young servers were warm, smiling, yet discreet. The atmosphere is welcoming, you feel right at home. The decor is beautiful, without being over the top. 18/04/2026: It had been a few years since our last visit. There's been a change of ownership since then. The meal was very good overall, although the slow-cooked rabbit was overcooked. The local spritz with sparkling Saint-Savin wine, however, wasn't great (too bland). The waiter is still the same, very friendly and pleasant (a little wink to him). We'll definitely be back.

07/04/2026: A wonderful restaurant with a very warm welcome. We were delighted to see our waiter Pierre again, who always had a smile on his face. He gave excellent wine recommendations, asking about our budget, and described the dishes with a charming, sing-song manner. The dishes were full of flavor and beautifully presented.

03/06/2026: Honestly, I won't be going back. The salad had bacon and fried ravioli. The bacon tasted like it had been boiled, and the ravioli were barely cooked; they were mushy. I'm from Saint-Marcellin, I know... disgusting salad. I told the waitress... Not even a word of apology and not even a gesture of goodwill. I won't be back, and I'll make it known!!!! I already told the waitress.

25/05/2026: We had a wonderful meal, but unfortunately we waited a good 40 minutes for our food.

20/04/2026: We came once in 2014 or 2015. It was already very good. We went back yesterday for a birthday and it lived up to my memories. They have a superb wine list and were very kind. The terrace was lovely with the beautiful weather we had. We really must come back, and not in 12 years this time.

17/04/2026: An unusual setting for outdoor lunch. A menu with plenty of choices, as well as a wine list. Very friendly staff, always attentive. Excellent value for money.

02/03/2026: We took a short stroll around the resort and relied on online reviews. It was winter, so there were no outdoor amenities, but even so, for a late February day, we were able to eat on the terrace, which was very pleasant. We always make a point of booking by phone or in person. This allows us to choose our table, avoid arriving last, and get the best spot—something you can't find anywhere else. The manager had reserved a table for us in the sun with the headrest in the shade. It was a very thoughtful touch. The selection wasn't huge, but it's much better than having 20 options where absolutely everything is frozen. The two people running the place are very friendly but don't let themselves be taken advantage of, which I think is perfectly legitimate. Paying doesn't give you free rein. In small resorts or villages, whether touristy or not, without this kind of business, it's the death of the village. It is certainly not in this type of establishment that one can make a fortune, but they are the ones that keep a locality alive.
