01/12/2025: It's been a while since my last visit, but every time I talk about my last experience at this restaurant, I tell myself I really need to leave a review, and today I'm finally getting around to it. It's summer, and we booked a table here with friends (3 people) to enjoy the terrace. We were the first ones on the terrace. The waitress came over and asked us what we wanted to eat. My friends ordered the meat, and I ordered the salmon. The waitress told me they didn't have any either. Okay, no problem, but I explained that I don't eat meat. She went back to check in the kitchen, and my friends and I were already looking for another restaurant to go to when she came back—surprise!—there was one left! Okay, great, so we stayed. I ended up getting food poisoning. During the meal (which I couldn't finish), I started feeling really unwell, with cold sweats, etc. We decided to cut the evening short, but I was so sick that my friends ended up paying for me and driving me home because I was too ill to drive. Anyway, that was the last time I went there, and I strongly advise against it.

01/11/2025: Excellent appetizer buffet 😋 with plenty of choice! The main course was generous but slightly salty for my taste. I didn't have dessert as I was full. It's been a long time since I've come across a restaurant like this offering such a wide variety of appetizers ✨ They're becoming rare! What a shame. Perfect service 🙂 Dogs welcome ✨🐾🙏🏻

30/09/2025: A wonderful evening! The sauces were delicious! The owners were very pleasant and gave us a warm welcome. And especially the cherries in the Valkyrie ice cream...yum! We'll be back...thank you!

19/01/2026: A complete disaster! The restaurant lives up to its name! We chose two set menus, but nothing we ordered was available! The owner suggested we order a different starter and main course from what he had on hand! Oh yes, no problem, in the end the bill was hefty, and we were ordering à la carte instead of the set menu. Why didn't he mention that the set menus weren't available? It's bordering on a rip-off, and don't even get me started on the dessert I sent back, which they replaced with a different one that was supposed to be available that day! Yeah, right! The restaurant is just clearing out its remaining stock at the expense of its customers! Let's just say I was not having a great evening! Avoid this place at all costs. What a waste, almost €100 for two people for a meal that was more than just mediocre. The owner is all smiles, nothing's a problem!! It would be nice if they made regular trips to the restrooms and emptied the bin without a lid so we can enjoy everything! And the toilets are unisex, I'll let you imagine! Bon appétit!

16/01/2026: La Dérive has changed a lot (review from a resident of Le Croisic). Avoid the flank steak and fries. The fries were reheated, very brown, almost shriveled, and the meat was practically uncut. Only about 30% was edible, if that! My wife's dish was served completely out of order. We won't be back.
