10/08/2026: We had reserved a table for three people. Upon arrival, we wanted to order two burgers and a salad. It was only when they took our order, after serving our drinks, that we were told there were no burgers available. We had to find a solution quickly and opted for two small Caesar salads (one without anchovies and one with), another salad, and plates of fries.
The most problematic part was my salad. I had ordered a Caesar salad without anchovies because I am allergic to them. When my plate arrived, it contained anchovies. I immediately pointed this out to the waitress and explained my allergy. She took the plate back and finally brought me a new one about 15 minutes later. This time, the chicken was hot and the salad was fine.
However, I was then told that there was no sauce and that a small sauce containing anchovies had been placed on the side. I would like to remind everyone that I clearly stated my anchovy allergy: I therefore don't understand the point of offering me a sauce containing precisely the food I'm allergic to. A vinaigrette without anchovies was eventually brought to me later.
Furthermore, my friends' plates of fries arrived well after the rest of their meals.
In the end, we found the staff quite friendly, but the organization and especially the handling of a food allergy were truly disappointing. When a customer reports an allergy, it should be taken with much more seriousness and attention.
20/07/2026: From start to finish, the experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival, the waitress's welcome was unfriendly and unwelcoming, creating a poor first impression.
As for the food, the quality was unfortunately lacking: a starter of frozen tapas, tasteless vegetables, and fries that were far too salty and difficult to eat. The "café gourmand" (a selection of small desserts served with coffee) was also served without a spoon; despite several requests, we never received one.
Given the prices, we expected much better quality and service. A disappointing experience that we do not recommend.

29/07/2026: Wonderful home-cooked food - delicious sides including veggies and a good selection of meat (and some fish). The menu is very reasonably priced and we enjoyed every bit of it ( including the cheese).
The terrace is lovely with a good view - there are many plants and other quirky decoration to make you feel welcome! It's definitely worth a trip (and you might also want to stay for a night or two in the git'an roulotte, run by the same lovely family).
30/06/2026: Charming little village restaurant. Home-style cooking using local ingredients. Impeccable service. We unexpectedly met some regulars and had a pleasant chat. Don't hesitate to book a table. The local wine is worth the trip.

21/07/2026: A truly wonderful discovery! The portions are incredibly generous, especially considering the prices, making it excellent value for money. The ingredients are simple, but prepared with great care, and the flavor combinations are original, refined, and subtle—a welcome change from the ordinary. Everything was delicious.
The service is also very pleasant and welcoming. An excellent place that I highly recommend!

30/05/2026: After our hike, we had a wonderful lunch (around 2 pm) with a daily special that was simply perfect: grilled sea bream fillet with a potato gratin from the Forez region (with Fourme d'Ambert cheese and garlic), a small side salad, and an excellent dessert (chestnut fondant). To top it all off, the waitresses were lovely. A place to remember!

02/08/2026: We had dinner at Auberge du Sapt and were very disappointed.
Arriving at 8 p.m., we felt like we were in a race against the clock rather than at a restaurant where we come to enjoy ourselves. We had barely sat down when our drinks and then our main courses were taken very quickly. A few minutes later, the appetizers arrived, even though we hadn't finished our aperitifs.
Throughout the meal, everything moved far too fast. The staff cleared our plates almost immediately, as if we were constantly in a hurry. Even with dessert, we felt pressured to finish quickly.
Another disappointment: several of the most appealing dishes on the menu were no longer available. It's frustrating to choose a restaurant based on its menu and then discover upon arrival that many items are unavailable.
The welcome and interaction with the management didn't seem very warm. We felt more like customers they were rushing out before closing time than people they were welcoming with pleasure.
Furthermore, while the restaurant advertised a 10 p.m. closing time, everything seemed arranged so that everyone would be gone precisely at that time. A few minutes after 10 p.m., everything was already closed.
We understand that a restaurant has its constraints and hours. But when you make a reservation at 8 p.m., you expect to be able to enjoy your meal in peace. That was clearly not the case here.
An experience we won't be repeating.

09/08/2026: A delicious taste from the moment you walk in, and a great atmosphere. We were warmly welcomed without a reservation. Impeccable service from a young waiter who looked after our table as if we were their most valued customers: a rare find! We simply had a wonderful meal; the dishes were flavorful and cooked to perfection. In short, another magical spot in Charlieu that always makes us want to return! Thank you and congratulations to the whole team!
04/08/2026: Wow, what a surprise! Nice setting, but that's where the appeal ends! Lunch was a Milanese-style escalope with Italian cheese on top (only the name "Milanese" was Italian). It was a chicken breast cut in half, not even flattened, admittedly breaded, dipped in an omelet surrounded by very acidic tomato paste (it's the first time I've ever seen that). When it was brought to me, I thought, "Two fried eggs." Disappointing, it came with overcooked and tasteless pasta. My husband had asked for a flank steak without a pat of butter on top or a small wine sauce, but no, nothing. And the fries were something else; the cook must have scraped the fryer. They were overcooked, and there was a pile of even more burnt pieces of fries, all presented without any fluff. The whole thing was served by a young child (14 years old) who brought the dish. A small portion of the burnt fries landed on my seat, and then he spilled a quarter of the bottle of Badoit mineral water.
I should mention that when it came time to pay the bill, I informed the Server for all of this

CUISINE

The wine selection is a real asset, allowing for excellent pairings. Portions are generous, although some may find the prices slightly high depending on the choices.
SERVICE

17/07/2026: Hello, we ate lunch at Le Tremplin yesterday. We were tempted by the Andalusian gazpacho: it was so spicy we could barely drink it... then the chicken supremes, which were very dry! And the mushroom sauce was pure salt! Are the dishes even tasted? That would be the bare minimum! And don't even get me started on the apricot clafoutis: it was so dense... We were more than disappointed... Will we come back? I don't think so. It's a shame because we liked the setting...
