16/04/2026: Everything was very good! The perfect egg and its delicious accompaniment, the homemade fries crispy just right, the andouillette perfect, and even if it's not the most important thing I'll add that the plates are beautifully presented, I will come back.

You tell them what you like and the advisor gives you their suggestion... the recommendation from a biodynamic winemaker delighted me.

03/03/2026: I spent a week in drone pilot training (Prodroner), and I ate at this restaurant all week.
Each day we had a different dish, and everything was delicious.
The owner was very friendly and professional.
I highly recommend it.

06/11/2025: Not enough space to write all the wonderful things that attract me to this bar and restaurant.
The staff, owner, cook... are always so kind and patient.
The chef always delights our taste buds; in fact, he's even managed to make me like things, but only if he's the one cooking them 😆.
We love our mother-daughter time together enjoying one of the things we love most in life. The food is truly perfect, the cooking and seasoning... EVERYTHING is perfect. I'd love to eat here every day. It's a shame you don't offer bed and breakfast; we'd definitely come, haha. We feel comfortable and not judged, and that's really important to us.

20/04/2026: The atmosphere is quite calm. The place is very beautiful. The dishes are lovely and delicious. The portions could have been a little smaller. The servers that day were very friendly. And the value for money is truly excellent.
17/04/2026: The wait was far too long; we waited over an hour for our food. The hot starter arrived cold, the chuck roast was way overcooked and difficult to cut, and the side dish was lukewarm. Luckily, the servers were friendly.

26/06/2025: UPDATE: I tried again at lunchtime with a 1.5-hour break. Despite this extended time, it was still impossible to get served for a main course and dessert. The waiter was alone, and the service was still slow.
I specifically asked not to be charged for the desserts, since they weren't served and weren't eaten. The waiter assured me this would be taken into account… only to end up charging me exactly the same price as for a full meal.
➡️ This is therefore a lie, and in my opinion, a dishonest, even abusive, practice.
If you consistently apply a set menu, then at least have the honesty to clearly state it—or make sure you can deliver on your promises regarding service.
Like many, I don't appreciate being taken for a fool, and I won't make this mistake again. This was the last time.

My colleague and I visited this restaurant several times last summer and appreciated the manager's warm welcome, the terrace, and the quality of the food. Unfortunately, our last two visits were much less positive. On both occasions, we were charged for the entire menu when we only ordered the daily special, as we didn't have time for the rest (it's impossible to eat in an hour there).
Beyond questioning the legality of this charge, it's simply not good business practice to charge full price to someone who doesn't order the entire menu, especially when it's mainly due to the speed of the service. Given this practice, we probably won't be going back, which is a shame considering our initial positive impression.

05/01/2026: Takeaway meals last Saturday: cod fritters swimming in oil and tasteless, mini burgers... also tasteless. Calamari in tomato sauce with olives, not good at all. Very disappointed with this establishment.

22/03/2026: Hello, this is a place I know well and have been going there for years and years, but unfortunately, since the last owners took over, the quality has declined. I'm leaving this short message to help you rectify the situation, not to bother you. Be aware that the quantities of charcuterie have shrunk dramatically, and for the patia (a type of cheese), they should use cream directly from the farmers. Many people around me have complained, and it would be a shame if such a lovely establishment were to close one day. All the best to you.

07/11/2025: After a 15 km hike starting from the inn, we enjoyed a delicious country meal. The patia (a regional dish of potatoes and cream) was a real treat.
We received a very warm welcome in a cozy atmosphere. The waiter was very professional and attentive. We ate very well and will definitely return.

A place I frequented in the late eighties.
The walls were covered with posters of actors, singers, and other celebrities of yesteryear.
The wall decor is now much more modern and quirky, but the essence remains.
And somewhere, a certain nostalgia lingers, for that time, for that something within us, of ourselves, that passes, despite our will, but...
The bartender was pleasant, even friendly. A must-visit bar in Saint-Étienne.
