09/11/2024: calme et excellent, situé proche du centre ville avec grand parking à proximité. Très belles salles de restaurant, tables très élégantes, personnel souriant, accueillant et professionnel. Une belle carte avec un choix suffisant et des plats excellents avec une présentation très réussie des assiettes. De bonnes explications sur ces plats lors du service. Nous y avons passé une excellente soirée. Un endroit où nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Obviously with 150 seats in the room and terrace there is a bit of a wait for the dishes.
Efficient and attentive service.
Unsurprising and hearty brasserie cuisine; on the other hand, very nice plate of seafood.
To be seen again with pleasure....as planned, reviewed in December. Very nice professional and attentive welcome....especially when waiting for the dishes with good information.
Friendly brasserie cuisine with no surprises.
Competent training staff.
16/12/2024: This is the first time we've been here since the change. The food, service and ambiance are excellent and we will be back.

27/01/2025: We had dinner on a Saturday evening and although we ate well, it was not up to the prices charged.
The wine list is excessive and the cheese platter too classic (the same at home)
Considering the price of the menus, we expected more refined dishes. We can come back but simply for lunch with colleagues.

10/09/2024: Haven't been for 2 years, disappointed by the presentation on the plate and almost all the desserts in the farandole of desserts have almost the same taste apart from the Cointreau soufflé even though you pay an extra 4.90 euros... Too bad, disappointed.... I reported it after dessert.

16/09/2024: This delightful refuge deserves 10 stars. We had an unforgettable week nestled in our beautiful room and feasting daily on exceptional food creatively presented. The young chef, trained in a Michelin star restaurant, was consistently creative without going overboard. Every meal was a delight. Arnaud’s influence was always present as the château staff gave us memory after memory and cheerfully accommodated every need and wish. Arnaud and the staff all speak excellent English.
A breathtaking facility dedicated to its guests. We recommend it highly and without reservation. We look forward to returning next year.

09/11/2024: Best discovery in Saumur. Everything is delicious, you can go there with your eyes closed. The waitress who replaces the usual waiter is adorable, it was a pleasure to share a little moment in this restaurant. And thank you very much to the chef who found solutions to my allergy.

06/11/2024: Despite an excellent meal (except aperitif cakes: a small handful of peanuts only per table of 5 people), I could not forget the lack of friendliness of the waiter and especially of the manager (from whom I asked for bottles of wine which were due during the meal (there is indeed the art and the way of responding - thank you to the waiter who defended me) and to an expeditious speed of service These remarks were also shared by some of the guests.
For me, a restaurant means eating well but also being welcomed with a smile…
