28/08/2024: Absolutely great atmosphere, professional and friendly service. Unfortunately our expectations for the food were too high. The fries were ok, the confit duck was good, the grilled skewer was ok but unfortunately hardly seasoned. The steaks were both almost raw and well done at the same time. Roasted aromas were missing. The meat is really stringy. Given the great display with the Weber outdoor grill kitchen, our expectation was that the steaks in Aux 2 terrasses would actually have to be very good.

26/08/2024: Restaurant très bien placé : presque en face du Château de Brissac. Cadre très agréable en terrasse (Terrasse très propre). Les brochettes de boeuf étaient délicieuses et cuites comme nous les souhaitions avec un accompagnement bien dosé. Très bon accueil et service parfait.

08/12/2025: This hotel is well located: close to the activities Saumur has to offer, yet peaceful. Magnificent view of the town and its castle. The welcome was impeccable and pleasant. A true focus on customer service. The room we booked was perfect. The decor could use a refresh, as the gray, black, and red tones lack vibrancy. The breakfast is very generous and complete. The homemade pudding is amazing!

03/12/2025: Super spacious room with plenty of room to move around, even with a crib. Great view of Saumur Castle from the terrace! Very welcoming receptionist and a very good breakfast! Thank you ☺️

25/11/2024: Visiting Angers for 2 days, I came across this very nice restaurant by chance where I was welcomed very warmly with my son in a stroller. The soft pear and their milk chocolate cookie are to die for and the lentil salad is also very good: I really enjoyed it. Small attention that would have even been worth the 6/5 stars: the essentials for women and babies in the toilets (changing table, diapers, bibs, towels and tampons): too rare in restaurants these days not to be mentioned. Thank you again for this pleasant moment ❤️

12/12/2025: A truly wonderful discovery. A lovely restaurant on the banks of the Loire (it must be fantastic in the summer). We opted for the set menu of starter/main course/dessert (we have a sweet tooth!). We were treated to a delicious amuse-bouche, a gougère with black garlic. For the starter: delicious accras and a lovely terrine with pickles. For the main course: a divine, melt-in-your-mouth beef cheek with tender winter vegetables. For dessert: a sort of French toast with poached pears, a small madeleine biscuit with vanilla cream, and pear ice cream. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We were just stopping over, but we will definitely be back… Thank you for this delightful experience and thank you to the pleasant waitress and the staff.

06/12/2025: A magnificent establishment. A small menu, but more than enough, given the quality of the ingredients and the truly delicious and high-quality dishes. The presentation is tasteful and meticulous. Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy the view of the Louet River, but we were treated to a culinary journey. Congratulations to the chef.

07/08/2024: Very good place for lunch. Simple and efficient! A beautiful menu, a cozy place where you can eat good savory and sweet waffles, desserts full of pep and delicious! All this with a very warm welcome where we take the time to take a break.

24/08/2024: We had a very pleasant dinner at the Sens restaurant. It was very fun to discover the composition of the dishes served blind. The plates are very well presented, the staff are very pleasant and take great care of the customers. The food and wine pairing was perfect. We made some great discoveries. For our taste, the savory dishes were more interesting than the sweet dishes which were still very good. Very pleasant evening and great discovery.
