23/11/2025: A magnificent dinner at La Table du Connétable: a sublime and subtle moment, with exquisite and refined cuisine. Each dish was a true delight, combining sophistication and originality in an elegant and intimate setting. The attentiveness and kindness of the staff made this mother-son tête-à-tête exceptional, every detail reflecting remarkable care. We spent an excellent, memorable, and delightful evening in an exquisite atmosphere where everything is designed to please the senses and the heart.

22/05/2026: A delicious evening at Léon's, the icing on the cake was Amin's warm and professional welcome. He was incredibly attentive. Keep him! Just one small complaint: the fries used to be much better.

18/01/2026: We had a lovely stay. The room was large, spacious, and very pretty. It had a magnificent view of the garden. We had dinner at La Causerie. Many thanks to Enzo for the delicious cocktails and his friendly manner.

09/04/2026: A strange experience... The display window on the ground floor is enticing, but you can't order what's on offer when you're upstairs. The upstairs menu is complicated to understand... In short, it's off to a bad start. The quiche was okay, nothing special. The accompanying salad was poorly washed. The tabbouleh was bland and tasteless. And what about the mushroom soup... I love a good meal, but this was nothing but watery and medicinal. I understand the decision not to add salt, which is commendable, but please season your dishes. I gave it two stars because the desserts are good and the drink selection is nice. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch upstairs.

08/04/2026: A tiny slice of leek and salmon quiche—no salmon, no salt, no flavor, as bland as could be; a cup of lentil and carrot soup—no carrots, tasteless except for the taste of water; a cup of equally bland tabbouleh. All for €12.50. Really not great.

16/03/2026: I've never been there, but I've always heard great things about it. I wanted to eat there for lunch today, but apparently it's been permanently closed since Saturday. What a shame!

07/03/2026: A wonderful discovery in Venette! Le Méga is a restaurant that pleasantly surprises. From the moment you step inside, you're immersed in the ambiance of a Savoyard chalet, with plenty of wood, warm decor, and intimate spaces reminiscent of mountain inns. The atmosphere is friendly and truly refreshing, especially considering it's so close to Compiègne. The dining room is very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, with tables equally suited to group meals and quieter dinners. The menu offers generous and delicious French cuisine: beautiful cuts of meat, cheese specialties, regional dishes, and a few perfectly executed classics. You can tell the food is made for pleasure, simple yet satisfying. Special mention goes to the exceptionally friendly and attentive service. It's the kind of place where you quickly feel at ease. A welcoming spot where you can have a wonderful time, and where you'll naturally want to return.

26/05/2026: A huge disappointment. I booked for 12 people for my wedding. Two sweetbreads were very questionable; the pieces were very firm and didn't resemble sweetbreads at all. Three sirloin steaks were very fatty, tough, and full of gristle. I think that, out of politeness, some of my guests didn't comment on their meals. The service was impeccable; the waitress and waiter were very responsive, friendly, and welcoming. I didn't eat my sirloin steak; it was too tough. I had asked for it rare.

23/05/2026: Excellent village restaurant with a varied menu at reasonable prices, and we even went on a Saturday night! Impeccable service. The only downside I would mention is the slightly dated atmosphere and background music, but that's not a major issue. If you like kidneys, don't hesitate!

16/05/2026: I don't usually leave reviews, but I was quite disappointed with our stay. My partner and I are used to staying in high-end hotels (especially these past few months as we've been looking for an exceptional venue for our wedding), and unfortunately, a few things let us down: - We couldn't get a table at the restaurant in the evening. We hadn't been informed in advance that a reservation was required, nor that the restaurant was already full. We found out around 7 p.m., and the reception staff seemed rather cold (the receptionist offered no help and was quite unfriendly). We therefore had to urgently find a restaurant open on a public holiday, even though we had planned to stay on the property. - There was no refrigerator in the room, and only one bottle of water was provided. These are small details, but in this type of establishment, they make a difference. - No help with luggage, which is quite surprising for a 4-star hotel (we were used to always having a valet at other establishments of the same type). Overall: the castle itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, we expected a certain level of comfort that we didn't find (in terms of service, staff shortages, attention to detail, etc.).

06/04/2026: The staff tried to overcharge us in a way that seemed intentional. Food itself was mediocre and expensive.

02/04/2026: A major disappointment for a dinner costing over €100 per person. While the decor, inspired by the castle's interior, is remarkable and the drinks excellent, the food is mediocre. For example: the grey shrimp (from frozen), the foie gras ravioli were completely tasteless... or the salty caviar was so overpowering it was almost painful to eat. In short, more pretentious than delicious.

12/05/2026: Restaurant visit with a large group. Excellent service, superb food, lovely atmosphere. We were very satisfied. Everything went smoothly from the reservation to the payment. Highly recommended for tour groups. The staff also speaks good English.

05/05/2026: A wonderful discovery! Traditional French cuisine. We especially loved the sea bass fillet with asparagus, broad beans, and artichoke, as well as the calf's head. Friendly welcome. Our very professional and humorous waiter contributed to our pleasant experience. Thank you.

21/05/2026: Arrived at the restaurant at 7:10 PM, the appetizers were still not on the buffet. My main course arrived at 8:15 PM. The expected good food wasn't quite up to par. Set menu at €20. Positive point: Paved parking lot

11/05/2026: Parking-Cool. Food-Cool. Atmosphere-Cool. Service-Cool. While you wait for hot food there is a buffet of cold food you can enjoy + drinking Wine Beer Cocola Water. Really respect for this Restaurant💪✌️

12/04/2026: The food was generally good. A decent crêperie. However, the service could use some improvement, both in terms of organization and friendliness. The concept is to eat with your fingers and get brushed off. The listening is haphazard... One of the waiters is a reflection of his stature: he's condescending: just... arrogant! We ordered coffee with dessert. We never saw it, nor did we ever smell it. In short, while the food lives up to expectations, don't go there expecting pleasant and professional service. What a shame! We must have caught them at the wrong time...

11/04/2026: We came this Saturday, April 11, 2026, around noon. The staff was very pleasant, and the food was very good. I recommend it 100%.
