28/06/2026: I highly recommend this establishment. The welcome was incredibly warm, the managers were ready to meet all your needs, and from experience, it's the ideal place for a marriage proposal. The waitress had an ever-present smile, which made our meal enjoyable, and the local cuisine was fresher than in other restaurants. 04/06/2026: A huge disappointment. I booked for 12 people for my wedding. Two sweetbreads were very questionable, with very firm pieces that didn't resemble sweetbreads at all. Three sirloin steaks were very fatty, tough, and full of gristle. I think that, out of politeness, some of my guests didn't comment on their meals. The service was impeccable; the waitress and waiter were very responsive, friendly, and warm. I didn't eat my sirloin steak; it was too tough. I had asked for it rare. We didn't order any aperitifs or desserts; this had been arranged with the owner. However, we still consumed two bottles of red wine, one bottle of white wine, and one soft drink, for a total bill of over €70. This can compensate for the aperitifs. Changing the menu six days in advance is a respectful timeframe; we're not denigrating anyone, as you say. And we weren't an hour late; we were scheduled for 1:15 pm. If I round it up, we were 15 minutes late. I called to let them know.

31/05/2026: I stayed at this hotel on May 30, 2026, a day of extreme heat. It was impossible to lower the air conditioning in the room below 30°C because the system is outdated, with three click-button zones and a manual thermostat that isn't even electronic. Furthermore, there was only one bottle of water, and it wasn't cold, for two people on a sweltering day, for a room costing €124. I find this very stingy. I reported these two issues to the staff, who told us, "Sorry, there's nothing I can do." A better response would perhaps be appropriate, given the price and the standard that a Mercure hotel should normally offer, from a national perspective. This establishment tarnishes, and does nothing to improve, the reputation of the Mercure group.

18/08/2026: Good meal, simple but tasty, homemade and quick...very quick. From the outside, the restaurant doesn't look like much, but inside we discovered a large, old-fashioned room, hidden from view. The service was pleasant but a little too fast for our liking. In 45 minutes we had an aperitif and the lunch menu (starter, main course, and dessert). Everything was very good, homemade just like at home! We'll be back.

16/07/2026: Simple but very good food, never been disappointed. The service is quick, and it's always busy, so it must appeal to people who want to come back. The staff are very pleasant, and it's nice to get to know them. The atmosphere is very calm, not noisy, and very family-friendly. I love it! And the prices are reasonable for what you get on your plate. Frankly, at that price, you can't expect caviar, but you can expect fresh, seasonal produce. 23/06/2026: Pleasantly surprised! It seems there's been a change of ownership? Everything has improved! Thank you to the new owners for the variety of their high-quality breads!! I especially loved the walnut loaf; it's rare to find walnuts that aren't bitter. They have a few other great ones, including their pistachio and sour cherry galette des rois (a bestseller). Oh yes, their chouquettes—I'm speechless! Thank you for the quality, and keep up the good work.

30/05/2026: Really sad we went here, what a waste of money. We specifically asked if we could order two things in a meal deal so we wouldn't pay full price and then they said yes but afterwards they went back on it and we had to pay 10 euros for a cheescake. Ridiculous and arrogant people, avoid the place if you can

08/08/2026: Even though the food was good, the service left much to be desired. Extremely slow, and to top it all off, an error on the bill I noticed once I got home: an extra €38 menu item added for no reason. Completely ridiculous.

02/07/2026: What a disappointment! This restaurant has clearly gone downhill. The food was mediocre at best; my wife's was cold. The service was incredibly slow, and the waitress wasn't very friendly. Thankfully, the caramel cheesecake is still delicious, but that's not enough for the price; there are much better options nearby.

19/07/2026: Before visiting the castle, we had lunch here on the very pleasant terrace under the trees. The fish and chips were beautifully presented and excellent. The service was very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

31/07/2026: It was very good, the only downside was the time. We booked at 12:30 pm and it was after 1 pm when we finally got our order. A shame. Otherwise, the waitress was very pleasant and professional. I think a larger staff would be perfect for a 5-star rating.

05/07/2026: It was probably very good, but we gave up after a 45-minute wait. We're talking about crepes here... (There were several of us in the same situation.) Message to the management of this establishment: When you don't have a cook, as was the case today on a Sunday, close the kitchen. You're putting your completely overwhelmed waitstaff in a difficult position, with the server relegated to the kitchen unable to meet the demand. (And that's perfectly understandable.)

The service was impeccable, with meticulous attention to detail, and the professionalism of the entire team was evident at every moment.
