15/03/2026: Bouillon Maurice is a very pleasant, typical Lyonnais restaurant. The atmosphere is superb, as is the staff! The dishes are served quickly and are delicious, all at a very reasonable price! (You can eat very well for around €25!) I highly recommend this restaurant!

10/03/2026: We were sightseeing in the old town on a Saturday, looking for a place to eat with a set menu, and we found it! A set menu with well-prepared traditional food for €23 (starter, main course, and dessert). Good atmosphere, good service. Highly recommended.

In addition to the delicious cocktail hour and meal, which our guests absolutely loved, the service team was fantastic: they created an incredible atmosphere while remaining perfectly professional. 23/12/2025: We received a very warm welcome upon arrival. Despite a table of 22, we didn't have to wait at all, which was truly appreciated. The dishes were delicious, beautifully presented, and served piping hot. The service was impeccable from start to finish: attentive, friendly, and highly professional staff. 12/03/2026: I was drawn in by the cute sign while jogging by. It was lunchtime, and the place was packed. The menu had an English translation, and I wanted to try Lyon cuisine; the atmosphere was great. There were two set menus to choose from, or you could order à la carte. Watching the desserts being made, each one looked incredibly tempting, but unfortunately, I was too full and only chose the smallest portion.

We had a very clear and ambitious idea of ​​what we wanted: a raclette that was both convivial and refined, featuring exceptional products. Rudy didn't hesitate for a second to follow our vision: he selected the best cheese, the finest charcuterie, and carefully chosen ingredients to bring a truly high-end and sophisticated touch to this traditional dish. We were able to have a tasting beforehand, which confirmed our choice and allowed us to refine every detail. On the big day, the result exceeded all our expectations: our guests were unanimous—everything was delicious, generous, and perfectly presented. For the cocktail hour, he also delighted us with a Savoyard fondue and numerous small treats, all designed with our wedding theme in mind. And as if that wasn't enough, he even prepared roasted chestnuts for us in the afternoon, exactly as I had envisioned. Rudy truly went above and beyond to fulfill my many and very specific wishes. He personalized every element completely, with incredible attentiveness, patience, and dedication. Nothing was too complicated: he adapted, offered suggestions, adjusted, and went above and beyond to ensure everything perfectly reflected our vision. 26/03/2026: Having already eaten at (and enjoyed) L'Est, we wanted to take some friends there for a birthday celebration (a few days after the actual date, but it was to mark the occasion). I made a reservation for 5 people for March 21st at 9:15 pm. When I made the reservation, I mentioned that we were coming for a birthday. The Thursday before, I called L'Est to confirm that the birthday information had been noted (this was confirmed over the phone). On Saturday, before dessert, I told the manager (the one who had taken our orders) who was celebrating their birthday. When dessert arrived, nothing... and then nothing... It's a shame. Because otherwise, the food was good.

15/02/2026: If I could have given 10 stars, I would have. We went to this restaurant somewhat randomly on Valentine's Day. It was simply delicious. They have nothing to be ashamed of compared to the finest restaurants in French gastronomy.

13/09/2025: Unfortunately, Contre-Champ is not what it used to be. The chef has changed, and the experience is nothing like what you’ll see on Google or in older reviews. The food was disappointing, far below expectations, and the overall quality has dropped dramatically. To make matters worse, the poor waiter had to manage 11 tables completely on his own — service was understandably slow and chaotic, and it was painful to watch him struggle. What used to be a great place has become a real letdown. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal.
