Les Pieds Dans le Plat

18/03/2026: A wonderful evening at Les Pieds dans le Plat in Lyon. We ate very well and had a fantastic time from beginning to end. The shows were truly great: Morgane, a superb singer, set the perfect mood; David Kleiner was both funny and impressive with his magic tricks; and Raphaël Lacour closed the evening with a great sense of humor and talent in his impressions. We laughed a lot, especially thanks to the large group Stephanix, who greatly contributed to the evening's atmosphere. Special mention to Éric, who became the running gag of the evening by constantly going on stage! Honestly, with such an atmosphere, it almost makes you want to go work for Stephanix!
15/03/2026: We had a wonderful meal and a fantastic evening at Le Pied dans l'Plat. The organization was impeccable. There was very little waiting. The entertainment was varied (singing, comedy, magic), and its success depended on the guests' participation—we were particularly spoiled! 😁😜🤣 Go for it, you'll have a great time.

11/03/2026: Monday, March 9th, for my son's birthday with friends. A very good place, delicious food, wonderful flavors. I recommend this restaurant 1000%. We've already tried different dishes and we're never disappointed, and the menu is updated regularly. The service is impeccable, and the place is very pleasant. I can't wait to eat on the terrace.

28/02/2026: Stepping through the doors of Le Lyon de l'Atlas is like embarking on a journey of tranquility, a true awakening for the heart and senses. A regular at this restaurant for years, I thought I had explored all the secrets of its exceptional couscous and tagines. Yet, on February 19th, the magic worked its charm once again. I succumbed to the seafood pastilla, a veritable masterpiece adorned with shallots in their skins. Each bite is an ode to flavor, a perfect balance between artistry and substance. Behind the stoves, a chef whose discretion is matched only by his kindness, and whose passion shines through in every dish, is at work. Here, you don't just dine; you are welcomed "as if you were at home" in an atmosphere imbued with serenity. A rare find in the 8th arrondissement, helmed by a talented chef who deserves all the praise.

08/03/2026: It's okay. However, the wine list has changed. I tried L'Amicaille but it wasn't there, so I was suggested to try Fontaine Cagnard instead, but that's... not a good recommendation. Luckily, there was Fuso Cazzetti, so I ordered it myself and had a good one. And after I arrived and spoke to the female manager, I heard her turn around and use a mysterious onomatopoeia, "ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba" with her colleagues. I'm worried it might be a racist remark or a sarcastic remark about my hasty arrival. Please correct me if I misunderstood. At 7:20, I was the only customer. Still... I recommended the Fuso tasting.

Small Gourmet Restaurant Remember to book. Impeccable service, professional and impartial staff. The dishes were extremely well prepared, but just a little small for my taste. (Please, stop leaving us with the small container of sauce half full. It would be better in our meals.) (Set menu: €35 per person, but beware of the extra charges.) Highly recommended.

23/03/2026: A small restaurant in the center of Lyon with just a few tables and a small menu – a sure sign of good things to come. The service was very pleasant, the atmosphere friendly, and the food home-style. We had the beef cooked in butter – absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, with unlimited sides (fries and salad). You won't leave hungry! I highly recommend this place.

19/02/2026: A hidden gem in Lyon! The welcome is simply perfect and incredibly warm; you immediately feel at ease. As for the food, it's flawless: I loved the starter, the casserole of simmered crayfish tails—a true delight! All the dishes are excellent, not to mention absolutely divine. The value for money is more than fair for such exquisite cuisine. I will definitely be back!

28/03/2026: A Lyon gastronomic institution, far removed from the somewhat outdated clichés one might imagine! A special shout-out to the sommeliers who always find the perfect pairing!
28/03/2026: At La Mère Brazier, you step into history and leave with the feeling that it continues to unfold gently. Founded in 1921 by Eugénie Brazier, the first female chef to earn six Michelin stars, the restaurant established itself as one of the pillars of French gastronomy, where Paul Bocuse, among others, trained. Today, MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) Mathieu Viannay offers a faithful yet vibrant interpretation. Tradition in motion, just like in Collonges. The welcoming pâté en croûte: precise, clean, and classic. The salmon trout amuse-bouche with kiwi and watercress coulis introduces a more contemporary touch. Next come spider crab and brown crab, enhanced with caviar for a return to classicism. A gourmet dish more complex than it appears, a true delight for the palate. Then the barbecued langoustine with braised leeks, kumquat, and langoustine head consommé introduces a more contemporary dynamic, with its perfect cooking, deep consommé, and hints of other flavors. The scallops with apple and golden turnip in green curry maintain this masterful precision, enhanced by a green peppercorn condiment that could have been a touch more incisive. The sweetbreads with miso, accompanied by a sake jus, embrace the Japanese influence more fully, a journey into the world of umami. Dominique Courbis's 2022 Saint-Joseph is very expressive, its beauty enhanced by decanting. For dessert, the promise of lightness and freshness is fulfilled. A perfectly executed passion fruit and rum soufflé and a reimagined lemon meringue tart. For each seemingly classic dessert, there are complementary dishes that confirm that tradition is accompanied by modernity. Kiwi and aloe vera for the soufflé, candied Kalamata olives and blood orange for the lemon tart. The service was slow to get going and generally felt too stiff. At this level of cuisine, one would expect more fluidity and a touch more passion. The lunch menu, offering remarkable value for money at this price point, is highly recommended. Solid cuisine that fully deserves its two stars.

22/03/2026: Forgot to add my review here when I was here but here it goes.. the food, the people, the atmosphere -ummhh- it was everything that you would expect from a little osteria (or whatever the french equivalent of that is) like this. The crème brûlée wasnt amazing tbh but the food was absolutely amazing, definitely a must eat in Lyon. Also, the staff is super nice; I know no french and altough only one of them speaks English everybody is so willing to communicate with you and help you in any way they can
