15/04/2026: A very pleasant break in the sun with a view of Fourvière, lovely food, very clean restrooms. A delightful stop.

30/06/2026: €25 for a set menu, €21 for a burger. I had already read the reviews before coming, and as many have said, it's not good at all.

29/06/2026: The service was a nightmare! The waitress who was supposed to work across the hall (same owner) did nothing but complain. Not a single bottle of water was placed on the table before a 20-minute wait (in the sweltering heat) – we had to ask her for it! Another waiter, full of manners, came to replace her, argued with the cooks, and made an unbelievable amount of noise clearing the tables… it was like a caricature of a sitcom.

03/05/2026: Garibaldi Street has been renovated, including the removal of the underpasses. Finally, the urban highway has been removed for the benefit of residents. Only the end of the street remains to be completed.

24/04/2026: The escalator has been out of order for over a year. I don't know what you're waiting for to fix it! It's incredibly inconvenient!

22/07/2026: The daily special was perfect, excellent value for money. Warm welcome, very friendly staff. I had a great time.

02/07/2026: Watched England vs Congo here with a few locals and the bar man. Pints were reasonably priced and ice cold. Bar was welcoming and warmly. Cheers lads!

02/08/2026: The blonde waitress on August 1st was very annoyed. She was asked, "I'd like some coffee." She replied irritably and with a delay. And when she was asked to grind it again because she'd forgotten, she rolled her eyes. Advice to this young woman: "Customers come to you; it's an easy job. Find a job where you're the one seeking out customers, and you'll see the difference. I promise you'll change your behavior."

04/07/2026: Delicious coffee, but the saleswoman ruined everything with her disdainful and incredibly unpleasant behavior! Keep your inappropriate comments to yourself!

28/07/2026: And I used to go there all the time when I was in high school. I made my best memories there. Now when I go, the waitresses are unpleasant; you bother them even when you're being polite. It's genuinely sad. Every time, it's the same bad experience at the Opera location. I won't set foot in there again.

05/08/2026: We are regulars at this café. Every time we're in Lyon, we're always delighted to come here for breakfast, and until now we'd never been disappointed. Unfortunately, this time, the experience was quite different. As indicated online and on the café's window, opening time is 8:00 a.m. So we arrived at that time. Two young women were there: one barely glanced at us before walking past, without any real welcome. We were then told that the café wouldn't actually open until 9:30 a.m. because "nothing was ready," even though the terrace was set up, the doors were wide open, and everything suggested that the establishment was open. It's a real shame, because we had such a great impression of this place. For our last visit to Lyon before leaving, we unfortunately left with a big disappointment. We hope that the posted opening hours will be updated and that the reception will regain the quality that made us want to return on each visit…

03/08/2026: Very disappointed. We simply asked to replace the scrambled eggs with an omelet for our two two-and-a-half-year-old daughters. The waitress went to ask the chef, who was smoking right in front of us. Without even coming to see us, he curtly replied, "No." I asked the waitress if it was really impossible, specifying that they were two two-and-a-half-year-olds. The answer: "No." It was a Monday at 9:45 a.m., and the restaurant was empty. It wasn't a complicated request, nor was it a busy time. This complete lack of flexibility and customer service is hard to understand. Such a curt response to such a simple request, especially concerning young children, is frankly disappointing.

11/07/2026: I came on the morning of July 4th with a friend who didn't speak French, but the waitress was quite unpleasant and, in her words, "in a hurry." I left immediately. It's a shame they weren't more welcoming and patient with a foreigner who was kind and wanted to make an effort to take our order. It's a pity because the setting is nice, but the service definitely needs improvement.

31/03/2026: This is ridiculous! I waited an hour for the fries to get cold, I asked for an extra order and they forgot it! Absolutely ridiculous! 🤦🏽

18/03/2026: The hamburger was completely smashed, the meat was cold, there was a drop of sauce and that was it. I called and they told me next time, I'd give me a discount 🤦‍♀️ Anyway, I waited 40 minutes for this and in the end I didn't even eat it

13/05/2026: As a regular at both the restaurant and salad bar, here are my comments: - Restaurant: I highly recommend it. The dishes are tasty and made with good ingredients, with some options that are a bit different from the usual fare. The service is good and the wait is reasonable! It's great to have a restaurant like this in the neighborhood. - Salad bar: The ingredients seem fresh and the pre-prepared dishes are quite good and varied. However, my disappointment with the salad bar is growing with each visit, as the portions are getting smaller and smaller. On my last visit, I could barely see the bottom of my container, even though I chose a pasta base and selected four ingredients. I found that rather meager (it's usually quite generous). At the price of the salad, you expect to be satisfied, which is increasingly less the case. Thank you for taking this negative point into account and best of luck.

11/06/2026: Due to the rail strike, my train was cancelled, and I cancelled my reservation. Having prepaid, the fare conditions do not provide for a refund. I contacted the hotel by email to reschedule, but without success, as my cancellation was made too late. Since SNCF only notifies its customers 48 hours before departure, it's difficult to anticipate a cancellation! My scheduled business meeting has been postponed until early July, so I will avoid booking a room in an Accor hotel. I am also considering cancelling a pending reservation for Paris for July 2nd and 3rd. At over €200 per night, I was hoping for some kind of compensation from the Accor group; oh well!

11/06/2026: Quality budget hotel where everything essential works. Not the wifi which is miserable. Almost enough hangers, hooks and shelves. The shower hanger could be better. Thanks for the good breakfast. Perhaps worth noting that there are two Ibis Part-Dieu hotels in Lyon. We went first to the wrong one. Both are within walking distance from the Part-Dieu railway station.

12/07/2026: My son and his friends were turned away even though they had paid €20 per person for the reservations (there were six of them). It just goes to show how they make a living by ripping off young people. Well done to the bouncers!

11/07/2026: Honestly, very disappointed. I've been to Azar several times as a VIP, and the reputation doesn't lie—it's awful. Between minors being allowed in and the fact that I booked a VIP pass only to find it closed... It's a real disgrace; this place lives up to its reputation. Disappointed!

03/07/2026: Puzzled to see the average rating of this place is only 3 stars. Its an unabashed traditional French restaurant. My experience is that it is a very good one! Really top quality ingredients, well prepared and presented, with nice wine. If that isn't what you want, don't go there! There are plenty of other places in Les Halles Paul Bocuse.

24/06/2026: A delightful surprise awaits at the Passionnement Truffes restaurant, located in the legendary Marché de Lyon Paul Bocuse. Dishes are prepared to perfection, following the purest French tradition, and are surprisingly fresh and well-prepared. Highlights include the Volleyball and Mushroom Fricassee with Morel Cream and the Veal Rognons with Port Sauce.

15/07/2026: We arrived at 1:40 PM, simply wanting to have a drink. The waitress asked us to leave the table, claiming we didn't want to have lunch. Yet, the terrace was completely empty, and the dining room wasn't very full either. It was July 15th, the height of summer, and my partner is a regular customer of this establishment. This lack of flexibility and business sense is regrettable. We certainly won't be returning for a drink or a meal. It's also worth noting that no coffee is served after 3 PM. We will avoid this type of establishment from now on.

Even if you don't know how to behave, they'll give you a chance; if you take it, you'll have a great evening! Respect the staff, respect the place, and you'll have a blast! Never disappointed, always satisfied! Well done to the whole team! Physio and bartenders (maids)! Of course, if these conditions are met, we highly recommend it.

27/06/2026: Excellent club, finally a place that plays Latin music, and honestly, the atmosphere is great. A minor drawback is the location: it's quite small and the drinks are excessively expensive considering the amount of ice in the glasses… Thanks anyway for the memorable moments.
