30/05/2026: I bought some chocolate chip brioches this morning. There were a few chips on the surface, but I was very disappointed when I opened the brioche; it was just a plain brioche with no chocolate at all. It's a shame I can't share the photo I took of this pastry.

22/05/2026: We regularly come to this bakery and appreciate both the products and the service. But tonight, the two waitresses seemed to have forgotten their smiles. And the young woman who served us had also forgotten her manners; she spoke to me very curtly throughout my order, while I was being polite. If she can't stand being around customers, she should find another job!

21/03/2026: I've only been to the main café once since the change of management... just for a drink at the bar. The welcome was simple and courteous. I can't say anything more, having only come for a drink at the bar. 🍺 That's all. To be continued.

14/06/2026: A fine example of a brasserie offering excellent value for money. Special mention to the friendly and attentive waiters.

13/06/2026: A €50 menu for this quality is frankly outrageous. For starters, the foie gras didn't seem homemade at all, and the portion was ridiculously small. To be honest, you can get almost the same thing at Flunch... For a steakhouse, serving frozen fries at this price is a real shame. As for dessert, the profiteroles were dry and rubbery, clearly not fresh. My partner ordered the salmon tartare: the sauce (not listed on the menu) had a very strange taste, almost like dish soap. It was actually ginger, but since this wasn't mentioned, it was a very unpleasant surprise because she hates it. In short, it's a complete disappointment. Avoid this place.

16/05/2026: A lovely hotel with charm. The entrance area/lobby is cozy, ideal for relaxing with a drink. The breakfast area and the breakfast itself are good. The rooms are functionally furnished, although the hallway outside is rather dark. Parking is available upon request, just a few minutes away. The reception staff were very friendly.

05/05/2026: Hotel in a quiet city center. The 4-star rating doesn't seem justified to me. Bathroom needs updating, bedding is worn, and breakfast is minimal.

24/05/2026: What a fantastic find! We had a family room with a lake view. The bathroom was very spacious, and the toilet was in a separate area. The beds were wonderful! We slept very well. The area in front of the room was perfect for that lovely evening. The grounds are well-maintained and truly beautiful, especially with a dog. We were able to pick up the key at the restaurant across the street. The breakfast for €10 per person was good, and we had the perfect start to our vacation day! Thank you so much for the warm welcome! We would love to stop by again when we're passing through!

27/04/2026: Excellent welcome, comfortable and quiet room. I had a truly enjoyable 3-week stay! The added bonus was the garden furniture outside the room, perfect for enjoying the sun!

07/06/2026: The takeaway salads are a real lettuce pitiful; there's practically only green salad, and the quantity is disappointing for the price. Luckily, I had a chocolate mousse to stave off hunger. I miss the previous owner, who in my opinion was much better in terms of both quantity and quality...

05/06/2026: We used to go there four or five times a month with the previous owners. It was such a gem; nothing should have changed, just continued with the same team. The new owner's vision is undoubtedly different, or perhaps he's facing a challenge: how to get customers to leave in record time. He's on the right track.

07/06/2026: Good French restaurant. Lovely terrace, welcoming waiters. We had a pleasant lunch. The dishes were delicious, although the portions were a little small.

05/06/2026: The daily menu was very meager. Lots of rice and little salmon. The vegetables consisted of 4 slices of grilled zucchini and 4 sprigs of dill/fennel.

08/05/2026: Rooms are slightly dated but clean and quiet. The highlight is the staff…the woman working there is incredible, she speaks multiple languages and is the friendliest person I have met. The location is perfect for people on road trips as it is easy of the highway and back on. Price is great for what you get and the FOOD was incredible!!!!

06/03/2026: A warm and friendly welcome in a verdant setting, the meals are good, and the various overnight packages are a bonus. The rooms are clean and quiet, the bedding is comfortable, but they could use a fresh coat of paint. In short, we'll be back! 😊

15/04/2026: This is rock bottom! It can't last at this rate. Catastrophic service, mediocre food, cold plates... and to top it all off, they insist on cash payment, supposedly due to a problem with the card reader. I asked, "Since when?" The answer was "since yesterday." So why weren't we informed about this when we made our reservation or when we arrived?! A complete rip-off! Another one that's going to close down!!

14/03/2026: Excellent cuisine with sophisticated and flavorful dishes. You can taste the chef's creativity and the quality of the ingredients. A delight every time! Highly recommended!

03/06/2026: The hotel is alright, but my rating reflects the quality/price ratio for a 3-star hotel in a small town. The hotel is well-located, with a nice restaurant, but a bit pricey compared to what you can find in Monceaux. The service was average (no ATM for late-night needs). As for the room, a huge disappointment. When booking, there's no mention of whether some rooms have air conditioning and others don't. For €90: - No air conditioning (just a fan...) - Tiny bathroom - No power outlet near the bed or desk for working. The only outlet is under the radiator, practically on the floor (handy for a spare fan...). They offer you an extension cord to cross the room... very stylish. This hotel doesn't justify its price and deserves a 2-star rating, not 3.

30/05/2026: Our superior room was very nice specially with aircon BUT very strange that a double room with two occupants only had one small towel and one large towel! Dinner was ok, nothing special and overpriced and understaffed! Breakfast was ok but no croissants as we got there “late” Free car park

18/05/2026: We ate at Le Verre Galant restaurant, located on Place Saint-Vincent in the pedestrian center of Chalon-sur-Saône. The restaurant has a terrace overlooking the square with a direct view of the cathedral. Inside, the atmosphere is that of a brasserie. The menu offers traditional French cuisine, with a nod to regional Burgundian specialties. We saw typical appetizers such as duck terrine with confit duck breast or poached eggs with Epoisses cream. The main courses follow the same style, with dishes like eggs meurette, chicken supreme with Epoisses sauce, and more classic cuts of meat. We ultimately chose the butcher's cut with Roquefort sauce. The presentation was simple and appetizing, and the portions were generous. The service was friendly and attentive. The drinks menu perfectly complements the meal with a genuine selection of Burgundy wines served by the glass, such as Rully, Mercurey, and Petit Chablis. It's a very good restaurant (offering unbeatable value for money) that we enjoyed for a delicious meal near the cathedral.

16/05/2026: Pleasant waiters, some very good dishes, a bit of a wait and a few oversights, but it seemed to me that the waiter must have been new. Good value for money.

25/06/2026: Refined and delicious cuisine, beautiful presentation and pleasant service! Air conditioning inside, very welcome during this heatwave!

26/05/2026: Excellent meal with colleagues, very pleasant restaurant, the dishes are delicious, you can see that the chef knows his cuisine, the service in the dining room was very professional and very attentive, we will return with great pleasure.

16/11/2025: A terrible experience. No respect for the customer. I had a reserved table for four, but when I arrived... the door was locked! There was a light on inside the restaurant, but it was closed! I had left my number, but I wasn't notified.

13/01/2026: After 1 p.m., they don't serve lunch here anymore; you have to make a reservation! This was confirmed to me by other customers at the table… Avoid at all costs!
