I ordered gyoza as a starter; apart from the shape, they were nothing like the originals—saturated with oil and made with the wrong ingredients. Then I had a green chicken curry, which I've never seen before: hot water with lemongrass stalks and a chicken breast swimming in it. They should be told to remove the lemongrass stalks before serving, just like the other aromatic leaves; it's inedible. In short, avoid it. The value for money is disastrous.

08/03/2026: Lunch on a Sunday at 12:30 pm. One hour for the starter, nearly two hours to finish the main course. The food was decent, if simple (the only side dish was dauphinoise potatoes). At 2:35 pm, after more than two hours at the table, we very politely asked if it would be possible to speed up the cheese course or move on to dessert. The response: if we were in a hurry, we should have said so when we arrived… and it's already a good thing the restaurant is open on Sundays. So we moved on to dessert: no fruit, unlike at other tables. When it came time to pay, the bill was incorrect. When I calmly pointed it out, the chef replied: "You won't be back anyway," then added that I would have been better off saying nothing since the Mâcon wine was more expensive. He then accused us of having changed the menu… confusing us with the next table. And concluded: "If you're in a hurry on a Sunday, go to McDonald's." “At 50, and after eating at many restaurants, this is the first time I’ve been treated like this. The food was decent, but the welcome and service were truly regrettable.” Everyone will have their own opinion.

25/11/2025: Starter: Canned mixed vegetables and deviled eggs—my mother's were so much better… Main course: Canned beans, dry, uncooked frozen cod, and sticky mashed potatoes… Dessert: Frozen cake and canned custard… The only thing that's even remotely decent is the wine, so that's something… It's getting worse and worse, and this is the last time I'll ever go to this place!!

29/05/2026: When we came to Chalon-sur-Saône, we used to stop at the Majestic. The food was decent and the service excellent. This time, I ordered grilled frogs' legs with parsley sauce; they were white, swimming in oil. To top it all off, no one came to clear our table or ask if we wanted dessert. When I called over the so-called manager, he told us it was Friday and we had plenty of time... so we went to eat our dessert elsewhere. We arrived at 7 pm and still hadn't been cleared by 9 pm.

09/11/2025: Hello, a message to the owner and anyone wishing to have a coffee or other drink on the terrace: At 12:30 PM, the brasserie was open, but one of the employees refused us entry, saying it was closed in a very unpleasant tone. He added that on Sundays it closes at 2:00 PM. So, it's open at 12:30 PM? This employee seems to think he can choose who gets to enjoy the terrace and have a drink, based on who the customer is. Avoid this place, or you'll have to hire staff capable of building a good reputation for your brasserie. Have a good day.
