17/01/2026: Many years ago, I worked with Michèle and Yvan at Le Neptune restaurant (since then, I've become a restaurateur on the shores of Lake Geneva).
They are true professionals, respectful of authentic cuisine, their customers, and the service staff. At Le Neptune, trust is paramount, and respect is their strength. Long live this magnificent establishment, and congratulations to its management! 🍀

16/01/2026: Worst pizza I've ever eaten in my life… I ordered a tomato-based pizza with salmon that they call the Nordic. The salmon tasted like nothing but salmon, the tomato sauce was incredibly acidic, and they added something in the middle of the pizza that looked like crème fraîche—I don't even know what it was. In short, I was very disappointed. The pizza cost €15! I would have gone to the kebab shop near my house; I would have eaten better for less, and at least I would have known what was in my food. I do not recommend this pizza. NEVER AGAIN!!!

20/11/2025: The welcome was very cold, and above all, the food bore no resemblance to what the previous owners had been doing. Essentially reheated leftovers, with no flavor. The steak was tough and the calf's head made my partner ill. This place is definitely one to avoid, especially considering the high price.
31/08/2025: Aperitifs... A tempting buffet of appetizers (terrine, rillettes, parsley ham, and salads), but you have to save room for the beef!
It was delicious and melt-in-your-mouth tender.
And to finish, a dessert buffet with pear panna cotta, chocolate fondant, floating island, canelés... portioned so you could try almost everything!
Coffee and a digestif!

The rooms are modestly comfortable, but we slept well.
We received a very warm welcome!

03/03/2026: We were left freezing outside while there was a free table inside.
The starter was served on the terrace, and after we insisted, they finally seated us inside.
We all ordered calf's head, which was disgusting; the meat was swimming in a pool of vinegar along with the vegetables.
We looked under the table to see if the gribiche sauce was there!
To top it all off, we had ordered pear tarts, but they served us lemon tarts instead. They showed no remorse when we complained (many other dissatisfied customers).
03/03/2026: A meal with friends (7 people) on the recommendation of the guesthouse owner. We were very disappointed by the quality of the various dishes and the service. We had the set menu for €26. The butcher's cut, ordered rare, arrived medium-rare. The trout fillet with Flemish carbonnade sauce was overcooked; the sauce was very disappointing and bitter. The accompanying vegetables—potatoes, carrots, and zucchini—were waterlogged and tasteless. The poached eggs in red wine sauce and the fried fish appetizers were satisfactory. The calf's head and tongue were enjoyable. The setting (reception in an "air-conditioned room") was noisy, and the service was very slow.

28/12/2025: We arrived by chance at 2 pm while looking for a place to eat. We received a warm welcome, both us and our White Swiss Shepherd. The daily specials were delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly. Our dog also loved Sissi, the restaurant's lovely schnauzer. Thank you!

05/03/2026: This restaurant is unacceptable for the prices charged. I'm a regular at small restaurants in the area. For this price, whether you order a set menu or à la carte, you expect a much higher standard.
1. The dining room is reminiscent of an Ibis Budget hotel.
2. The preparation of the dishes.
The amuse-bouche was a Liebug soup with a piece of chicken thrown haphazardly into the glass.
The prawn salad cost €26. There was no effort put into presentation or preparation; it was just a haphazard throwing of ingredients together, like you might do at home. It was bagged lamb's lettuce, a walnut cut in half, a couple of dots of raspberry sauce, and the prawns were tossed on top.
The main courses were the same, if not worse: mediocre fries, fatty meat with a tasteless cheese sauce, and no seasoning whatsoever.
When you ask for salt, they bring you a large Ducros salt shaker that seems to be used for the entire dining room. Seriously, where are we? Flunch? In a school cafeteria?
15/02/2026: The room wasn't very clean (lots of insects and dust). Aside from that, the setting was pleasant and the staff were good. The pool area was great.

30/06/2025: I arrived. Five people were there, one behind the cash register eating, and the woman serving was chatting with colleagues behind the counter instead of serving customers. A disgrace. Change jobs or change managers who don't train employees.
14/06/2025: We bought a strawberry tart and when it came to dessert it was really not good, completely burnt... a disgrace...

I tried this restaurant in the hotel and even though I was alone, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel manager was very friendly, the food was excellent and homemade! I'll be back.

My in-laws were quick to send us a lovely photo of the "gluten-free" banner.
Unfortunately, it's not suitable for people with celiac disease, only for those with gluten intolerance.
Too bad, my partner was quickly disappointed.
We still opted for a small cup of tea, which was quite good, and the lady who served us was pleasant. We had a nice chat. ☕️🍵

21/02/2026: This hotel has retained its 1950s ambiance, making it both charming and memorable. The rooms are simple and clean, the heating is individually controlled, and the bathroom is adequate. The beds are comfortable, and I slept wonderfully each night. The service is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food in the hotel restaurant is good and reasonably priced. Breakfast, as is typical in France, isn't lavish but perfectly adequate. For those not seeking excessive luxury, this is an ideal hotel.

01/03/2026: We chose this restaurant to treat my grandmother and enjoy a pleasant family meal, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing from beginning to end.
The service was particularly disorganized: half the table was served while the other half was still waiting for their food, forcing us to eat at completely different times. The same thing happened again when it came to dessert. To make matters worse, the waitress was unpleasant and made inappropriate remarks, even though the problems clearly stemmed from the service.
After calmly speaking with the manager to explain the situation, we received no compensation whatsoever, only apologies accompanied by the excuse that the servers "aren't professionals." This is hard to accept when you pay for a professional service.
We were even close to leaving without paying, as the table monitoring and checks seemed nonexistent.
A regrettable experience: when you are not trained in the restaurant business, it would be better not to subject customers to this lack of professionalism.
01/03/2026: Terrible service.
We called the waiter over, and he replied, "I can't, I don't have a tablet." Well, I know, he just took a piece of paper and a pen and took my order.
When they finally decided to take mine, I asked for a strawberry Coke, and they asked, "With syrup?" No, no, with a strawberry for decoration.
I have to give it one star, otherwise I wouldn't have.

01/01/2026: There’s a women who is an absolute witch . Feel bad for her husband to be frank(surprised if she had one) There was this one little horrible women who I believe was the manager who was absolutely horrible the whole time we were there . Shouting at everyone , we were disgusted by her actions and we were not the only ones thinking this. She shouldn’t be allowing herself to be like this if she wants her customers to leave satisfied. Rest of the staff seemed nice . She just ruined the restaurant and certainly our evening.
21/11/2025: We've eaten here several times on our trips to the south. You should arrive no later than 5:45 pm, even though the restaurant officially opens at 6:00 pm. The service is always very friendly, and the food is of good quality at a reasonable price. The daily changing menu is especially recommended!
