20/04/2026: We did not stay in the Hotel we only went there for dinner. We chatted to a lovely English Lady that seems to be the proprietor so hopefully this review helps get their Restaurant service up to par. Talking badly about your customers to other patrons is a no, no, no! Simply unacceptable. We booked a table and arrived a bit early to have a drink outside as the evening was super lovely. Our table was ready and we sat promptly. We ordered our food and everything was going well… Food arrived quickly. The Restaurant by this point had 5 tables with patrons of which 3 were already served. Some locals arrived and were chatting at the bar with the only server/manager around… The food was average but the fries were really lovely so here comes Strike 1. When we finally manage to get the attention of the server/manager and asked him if we could order more fries his answer was simply “no”. There are other tables waiting for their food (2) and their fryer is simply too small so no, there is a limit of 1 order of fries per person. Ok then… did I mention we were obviously going to pay for them? And we asked for some more wine. It took quite a while to come but ok, this guy is running service by himself… Our daughter was taking her sweet time eating so we thought we could order some cheese while she was finishing so here comes Strike 2. I ask him about cheese and his answer was he hasn’t even cleaned our table how dare we ask if they have cheese. And here comes the best part - he starts badmouthing us to the other patrons. And he knew we understood French. He came around and took our plates and left the board for us to look at the menu. And he kept talking badly about us to the other tables - how dare we be on Holiday and be rushing around, he was doing what he could all by himself (whose fault is that btw?)… and is not like we were pressuring him or anything. We were pretty calm throughout this whole experience. To the point that my daughter was almost choking and I went and got water from my car before asking him for more water - that is how badly we were trying to accommodate him. When he finally comes and asks what we want I finally answered very calmly “as we are disturbing you, we only want the check please”. So if you have bad service and attitude, at least serve the absolute best food so we forget about the experience! But the food was forgettable (and I am being generous!) except for the fries - and we were denied more of them! Anyway I think it has amazing potential as the setting is lovely but they need to get their service in order…

19/03/2026: This is truly an excellent place to remember; the welcome is extremely courteous, the food is excellent, the setting is very charming, and to top it all off, the price is more than reasonable. I will definitely be back.

22/03/2026: Fantastic tartiflette evening at the PMU with Epinac! The atmosphere was truly wonderful, a perfect blend of conviviality and live music. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; everything was delicious. Special mention for the very warm welcome and top-notch service. An evening just the way we like them, we'll definitely be back! 06/12/2025: An absolutely charming and very cozy place, you feel right at home, especially with the fireplace and the big armchairs to curl up in so comfortably… I loved the experience! Unfortunately, I wasn't as keen on the hot chocolate, which frankly lacked flavor and depth, creaminess… and also some accompaniments. Why not offer some lovely homemade whipped cream, and little cakes, cookies, or shortbread? Especially during the cold end-of-year period, it would be so comforting…

30/03/2026: A wonderful little neighborhood restaurant with incredible charm. I stumbled upon it for lunch during the week. The set lunch menu was excellent and very reasonably priced. Everything was homemade! The owner has a great sense of humor 😊 The bistro has a sunny veranda and a terrace. My lunch was accompanied by soft, relaxing music. Thank you, it was a lovely experience.

21/04/2026: A family-run hotel with rather dated decor. The room was extremely noisy (you could hear everything in the hallway and other rooms as if you were right there) with a double bed. The bathroom was fine except for the rather rough towels. It's also a shame there's no power outlet near the (small) desk, which makes things difficult if you need to work there. The owner was pleasant, but unfortunately, she spent my entire breakfast on the phone with her daughter on speakerphone… As for the food: limited selection, simple but good, and made with fresh ingredients.

12/04/2026: The Auberge de Saint-Oyen is a beautiful establishment with its stone walls, an imposing fireplace, and a large terrace that is sure to be very pleasant on sunny days. The cuisine features simple but delicious dishes such as salmon, snails, and billch. The desserts are varied and not too sweet, ideal for finishing the meal. The waitress was exceptionally kind and smiling from beginning to end.

07/04/2026: A very good address that I recommend, very good value for money, well prepared and succulent dishes, a menu that changes, the waitress is super friendly with always a smile, we have frequented this restaurant several times and we have never been disappointed, I recommend without hesitation.

29/03/2026: Everything was actually great at this restaurant, except the portions were far too small. I wasn't full after a three-course meal for €25. Perhaps if they had served butter with the baguette, of which there was plenty, it would have been better. But to stress about a baguette for €15? That's a real shame...

17/03/2026: The team gave us a very warm welcome. The waitress was very helpful and gave us great advice. The steak tartare is excellent; you can go there without hesitation, it's fantastic value for money.

20/03/2026: I'm just passing through Mâcon, and I don't usually leave reviews, but I wanted to tell you this time: this restaurant is incredible! You can eat there without hesitation; the daily menu is comprehensive and inexpensive.

It felt like traveling for the duration of a meal. Thank you for this meal, always different yet always so carefully prepared and full of flavor.

20/04/2026: We visited Bistrot du Quai on March 7th. Our experience left us with mixed feelings. We had been several times before and everything had always gone well, but this time we encountered several problems, particularly with the service. First point: the service. Unlike usual, the waiters' attitude was borderline rude. A young trainee was present and was subjected to criticism as soon as her back was turned. We understand that she isn't entirely comfortable yet: she's there to learn. However, the derogatory remarks, even mockery, from her colleagues were shocking, especially since they were made aloud in front of the customers. It was clearly humiliating. Second point: the gift certificate. We had a gift certificate for one person (out of two), which included a complete menu with an aperitif, wine, and coffee. We asked if it would be possible to replace the alcoholic aperitif with a less expensive apricot juice. This was agreed upon, but when we paid, the apricot juice was added to the bill. We found this very unprofessional, especially considering that the gift card is calculated based on the most expensive items (wine and main course, so the discount is already maximized). Furthermore, the wine wasn't presented properly: the glass was poured quickly, without any explanation. Therefore, we don't know if the wine served was actually the one we ordered. We are giving a 3/5 rating solely for the quality of the food, which was impeccable; congratulations to the chefs. However, the service has clearly declined in quality, which is a shame, as it's the first thing customers notice.
