05/02/2026: This was the most expensive night of our two-week trip through France and, unfortunately, our least favourite. We chose this remote destination specifically for the restaurant, "Joséphine à Table," but were told on arrival they wouldn't open it for just one reservation. Instead, we were ushered into a 5-course "experience" that cost 50% more than a Michelin-Bib Gourmand meal we’d had days earlier. For a total of €360 for dinner and a bed for the night (excluding breakfast), the value was simply not there. The courses were shared between two people, and the main meat course was very small—just a single slice of duck breast each, no fish course. To our surprise, dessert was not included in the set price, and the 'local' wine by the glass was very expensive. While the room itself was kitsch and fun, it was missing coffee-making facilities, had a couple of broken items, cut corners (e.g. re-used flipflops), and the toiletries were not premium at all. Spending nearly €400 was a shock. And the exchange still felt like we'd done something wrong by insisting we didn't need the very expensive breakfast. We truly wished we had spent another night at the chateau, with the local champagne for €7 a glass, and our night's stay a quarter of the price.

24/01/2026: We ate at Le Gourmand restaurant on January 20th. We had a wonderful meal; the presentation of the appetizers, main courses, and desserts was visually appealing and a delight for the taste buds. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely return.

26/01/2026: Warm welcome, I appreciated the style of the room and the lighting. A very successful blend of rustic and industrial, in my opinion. Good breakfast with quality fresh products. Convenient parking, located between the train station and the main road. I couldn't hang my clothes as there was only one hanger and one wardrobe door was stuck. So I had to improvise... the hallway doors are very noisy at night. They slam loudly! I would still recommend it, though. Nice hotel and friendly staff

13/11/2025: This is exactly the kind of food and atmosphere I look for in a village or country restaurant. A sunny, lively room. Conversations between tables. Laughter, the deep voices of workers, the clinking of cutlery, incredible anecdotes, life lessons, advice, and memories. Then, calm. Music playing softly in the background, the last of the conversations… Thank you for this warm, home-style cooking. There's quality, generosity, attentive service, and a contagious good humor. No pretense, no fuss. I arrived at 1:25 pm, quite late as almost everyone had finished, and yet I was welcomed with open arms. It's 2:05 pm and I'm already having dessert (a delicious faisselle cheese), what efficiency! All for a very reasonable price! Thank you so much! I'll definitely be back with my husband for lunch, dinner, or a themed evening, so it ends with karaoke 😉 Long live country restaurants!

27/02/2026: A great find! The food is good, there's a good selection, and the service is efficient and friendly. We had a very pleasant time. Highly recommended! Reasonably priced.

07/02/2026: We chose this restaurant on a whim, but we weren't disappointed at all. The food was made with excellent local ingredients, expertly prepared from start to finish by the chef. The prices were reasonable (€22 or €33.50 for the set menus, €11 for a child). The service was impeccable; the lady was pleasant and very kind (she even gave our daughter a little something extra). The atmosphere was a bit noisy (towards the end of the meal), but that's to be expected, as the waitress had informed us that a table for 15 had been reserved. Otherwise, the setting was just what we liked, very authentic (lovely view, stone walls...). We'll definitely keep this address handy and will return with pleasure! Thank you!

19/10/2025: On the way back, we stopped for lunch at this small brasserie where we were very well received. The home-cooked meal was excellent.
