19/06/2025: Although we only ordered the daily special at 19 euros, the apricot tart dessert on the menu was already sold out at the start of service. The food is excellent, with a beautiful presentation. However, the price seems a bit excessive for the dishes offered. Furthermore, "the chef" should be more discreet when admonishing her waitress... I personally have no complaints about the service, and the young waitress was cheerful, friendly, and attentive.

10/09/2024: Perfect place on the banks of the Saône, calm, pure air, happiness. The icing on the cake is quality, fresh cuisine and a warm and friendly welcome. Great service, guaranteed smile. Country and rustic decor, no frills or unnecessary frills, the place for everyone!!!

02/09/2024: Go far for the frogs! Good welcome. We didn't wait despite a full terrace, and were served with a smile, it's nice! The setting is nice, even if the restaurant could do with a little updating! I 1000% recommend the frogs which were divine, plump and served in quantity (14 each) with good fries to pick up the sauce. The Vacherin as an unstructured dessert was very good. A good time, thank you, we'll come back.

28/06/2025: Very high-quality establishment. We stopped here on our way south. Friendly welcome, very pleasant staff, good food, and exceptional breakfast - no air conditioning, but a classy building.

25/11/2025: Starter: Canned mixed vegetables and deviled eggs—my mother's were so much better… Main course: Canned beans, dry, uncooked frozen cod, and sticky mashed potatoes… Dessert: Frozen cake and canned custard… The only thing that's even remotely decent is the wine, so that's something… It's getting worse and worse, and this is the last time I'll ever go to this place!!

14/11/2025: Excellent food, generous and flavorful portions for a set menu of starter and main course or main course and dessert for €21.90. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, highly professional, and always offered helpful advice, especially regarding wines. In short, I had a wonderful family lunch.

01/10/2024: What a view from this hotel! It’s on top of the hill, tucked away. Feels a bit like entering a bygone era, when the hotel was glamorous in its day. Staff was professional and welcoming. Some English spoken. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and had delicious food and drink. Our room had a private balcony looking out the back of the hotel, which was still a charming and private landscape. Our room was very large and the bed was comfortable, although the room and the hotel did seem a bit tired and in need of a refresh (maybe their is part of the charm?). The was the first hotel we encountered on our trip that gave us a sheet and blanket (vs a duvet)) which was appreciated, since I sleep hot. Our room did not have AC, and there was no real good option to ventilate the room, since the room had no window and only a patio door. If had we opted to sleep with the door open, there was no way to secure the room and someone could’ve walked right in from the street. There was a window in the bathroom, but it was broken and did not open. There was some mould in the shower, which would’ve easily been taken care of with some bleach. The pool was tepid, and the Jacuzzi was cold. The indoor pool area was quiet and peaceful, and had quiet please signs. It would not have been a good place for children. There is an outdoor pool, but it was closed due to colder weather when we were there. Overall, this is an interesting and quirky hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Worth the trip!

22/09/2024: >>>> General atmosphere <<<< Correct welcome with explanations of possible activities. We did mini golf (which could benefit from getting back into shape). Then we went to the indoor pool. The temperature was lukewarm. The jacuzzi was cold. Towels were available. The hamam and sauna (10€/30min) were broken. >>>> For the bedroom <<<< We were surprised to have mold in the shower. We directly informed the reception... who was not shocked... who did not offer us to change rooms... In addition she mentioned having had the problem in another room and that as a result they had put "the paint ". >>>> For the meal <<<< We also had 2 menus at the restaurant (39€/pers.): decent starter, fatty steak without vegetables with bland fries (we didn't like it), decent dessert. The rolls were nice. The young waitresses are friendly and smiling. Given the problem with the room, we had the “free aperitif”. >>>> Conclusion <<<< We found that a real shame because it’s a place that could have potential. We saw that it is not maintained any more... and we therefore see the marks of time.

10/11/2024: Man kann auf der Insel nicht schlecht essen - das stimmt schon, aber der Rest passt hier einfach nicht. Fehler (mehrfach!) im Service, Papierservietten gehören sich bei dem Anspruch nicht - und schon gar keine Plastiktischdecke!!!
