27/12/2025: It's a great place, very friendly. A wonderful atmosphere, and the staff are attentive. The menu is varied and delicious. Whether with family or friends, you'll have a fantastic time. I highly recommend it.

11/01/2026: Had lunch here during our wintersport vacation, the food was good (I had the tartiflette) and the service excellent. We also received some thin slices of sausage as starter and a dessert shot drink afterwards, both were a nice addition. Can recommend this place if you're taking a break in La Giettaz.

02/01/2026: The order was taken very quickly, and the main course arrived in good condition. However, we waited 30 minutes between finishing our main course and ordering dessert. We ended up leaving without ordering dessert or coffee. Slow service.

31/01/2026: Salted caramel crepe. You had to look for the salted caramel. Just a few drops scattered on the folded crepe. And it wasn't even very hot... But great setting and excellent service.

28/01/2026: Excellent value for money for a quick bite between runs. Burgers and pizzas are very good. Prices are reasonable. And the servers are great... very friendly and cheerful. I recommend this place.

06/02/2026: The “chocolat Viennois” was incredible and the crepes were absolutely excellent! I recommend the “butter sugar”

30/01/2026: The pizzas were excellent, generously topped, with a perfectly cooked crust. The service was also top-notch; the waitress was attentive and very professional. We had a wonderful evening, thank you Pepe!

22/01/2026: If you're coming for raclette or fondue, it's very good. However, the €22 burger is disappointing: frozen patty and far too salty fries, which spoils the experience.

18/01/2026: We stopped for lunch at the Yeti restaurant. The service was quite good. The dishes served were simple but tasty (diots in white wine sauce and homemade fries). The sunny terrace was very pleasant. The prices are typical of restaurants at ski resorts.

19/01/2026: Many choices of cheese for your fondues.. Meat fondues also featured. Portions are very generous. Efficient friendly service. Nice wine and cocktail list with wallet friendly prices. This is a family restaurant and it is set up as one so don't expect posh tableware and linen tablecloth. But you get great value for money.

15/01/2026: A great restaurant with excellent, friendly service and lovely food. In the heart of Val D'isere, close to bus stops and plenty of bars. Interesting display of vintage skis. Good portion sizes, not cheap but great for a treat meal put and all the drama of fondue, raclette and grill plates. Chocolate fondue desert was enough for 2.

03/01/2026: My reviews are usually all positive. Except when I feel ripped off, like with the real estate agency in Angers. That was the case during my stay at "La Terrasse" in La Plagne Aime 2000. The owner, "the old one, if I may say so," a strong personality, speaks his mind, doesn't mince words—I love that. But his son, by deduction, inflates your bill when you pay by credit card. And he asks the seasonal workers to do the same, using knowing glances. In conclusion, it's a nice place, where you can have a good time, but the personal touch isn't there, and above all, be careful with the bill; ask to see the screen when you pay. It's a real shame, because our stay in La Plagne has always been filled with incredibly kind encounters. Thank you to the mountain people for that 🫶

13/01/2026: Superb view of the slopes, great from the top when arriving by cable car (accessible to pedestrians). Nice terrace. The service outside for drinks was so-so, no menu, but the food was fine. Quite expensive, but you're paying for the location. The salmon tartare was excellent.

08/01/2026: I ordered a hot dog with a side of fries and I'm shocked by the presentation for such an expensive price, and even the taste is awful. Avoid this place!

30/01/2026: We spent two nights of our Val d’Isère trip dining at Le Gourmandine and, unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a very serious issue. During one of our visits, a set of skis was stolen directly from the restaurant’s own ski rack, right in front of the entrance. After happily spending a significant amount of money there over two nights, it was incredibly upsetting to have this happen on their premises — especially to later learn that the rack area was not covered by cameras. After we began raising the issue publicly and sharing our experience, the skis “magically” reappeared the following morning at the very same restaurant. Despite this, we decided (perhaps unwisely) to return. When we politely asked if we could place the same skis somewhere safer — given what had already happened — the staff were dismissive and rude. We were told we could not put them anywhere near the windows and were instructed to leave them on the exact same rack from which they had previously been stolen. There was no reassurance, no understanding, and no meaningful effort to acknowledge the situation. For a restaurant operating at this price point in a resort like Val d’Isère, you expect not only quality food and service, but also a basic level of responsibility and professionalism when something goes wrong. Sadly, that was not our experience.

27/01/2026: Located in the Val Thorens mountains, Chalet de la Marine welcomes you to a magnificent mountain setting. Everything is perfect: the welcome, the cuisine, the beautiful dining room, and the incredible terrace (weather permitting). A must-try in the area if you want to enjoy a gourmet break during your ski day.

14/01/2026: When I returned to my hotel, I noticed that my card was charged for the bill plus an additional €50, which had been used to secure the reservation.

12/01/2026: We had a truly lovely evening at the restaurant. The fondue experience was a very pleasant surprise. It came with a fresh salad, a generous selection of meats, and wonderfully tasty pickles with onion that we simply couldn’t stop enjoying. Everything was beautifully presented and full of flavor, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the evening. A special thank you to Romain for taking such wonderful care of us and for pouring us Genepi 😅The drink was excellent and added a perfect touch to the night. The service was so thoughtful and welcoming that we stayed until the very end of the evening without wanting to leave. Highly recommended ✨
