16/07/2026: We ordered the "Loris Tomato Onion" burger for takeout, which was supposed to be made with steak and chicken. When we got home and opened the burger, we were unpleasantly surprised to find only one steak and a single, tiny piece of chicken. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food for this order.

14/03/2026: Breakfast buffet was more than adequate to get the day started: coffee machine that makes lattes, selection of fruits, yogurt, granola. Eggs, bacon, and sausages. Plenty of french butter. Dinner was spectacular, gourmet french food every night with good protein, vegetables (Braised leg of lamb, bok choy, some pea soup; Plancha duck, turnips; mashed potatoes and skirt steak, fish and some vegetables; and on your last evening it's fondue, and salad); dessert is also great with some mousse, lava cake, pavlova. Service is excellent, staff from reception Carol is warm and welcoming. The staff at the dining area Marcel, Justine, Michell are great hosts, attentive and accomodating. Very happy with my stay. The shower is adequate with hot water/ cold water in the shower. The bed is ok, i definitely wish they had bigger/ thicker pillows as the ones in my room were definitely flat. I kept my balcony door open for fresh / cooler mountain air at night. The rooms are generally quiet, the main source of noise i found was the plumbing which can be distracting. I kept earplugs on at night and that was enough to help me get restful sleep. The Olympic gondola is about a 7 minute walk from the hotel. The ski and boot storage facility of the hotel is readily available so you dont have to pay extra to store them elsewhere if you dont mind carrying them. Overall, i think it is excellent value in the region considering the food and service at an affordable price. I would happily go back! Only thing to note is that the Gondola is about a 25 minute ride to Meribel center. It is generally reliable, though in case of a breakdown, the resort sends a bus to take you from Brides les Bains to Meribel.

19/03/2026: We just witnessed a rather unbelievable scene at the Lo Soli bar. An English tourist ordered a bottle of red wine right in front of us. The very unpleasant waiter openly mocked his accent. He then asked another waiter to fetch the most expensive bottle. Surprised by the price, the customer asked if there was anything cheaper. The waiter insisted there was only one left. Dishonesty and disrespect are what we'll remember about this bar.

10/07/2026: An address we wholeheartedly recommend! The view of the lake is simply breathtaking. The welcome is always warm, the service impeccable, and the value for money excellent. It has become our go-to spot every time we stay in Le Bourget-du-Lac. It's a real pleasure to return on each visit, whether for lunch or dinner!

17/06/2026: I was horribly disappointed with this restaurant! We had lunch as a party of four, and none of us enjoyed our meal. Two people ordered espressos, and since we were in a hurry, I didn't check the bill, but three espressos cost €6.60 instead of €4.40. I will never set foot in (Le Bistrot Gourmand) again. This restaurant is to be avoided.

13/06/2026: A lovely place with a view of the Albertville river. Authentic Savoyard food with very nice owners. The chef accommodated our request for a vegetarian dish and the dishes were served to us patiently, with explanations of each dish. Personal, courteous and patient service

20/04/2026: Welcoming, great setting but still very expensive, and a minor negative point: the fries weren't cooked through, however the gratin was perfect.

15/04/2026: Nice music, attentive staff, pleasant setting, and simple, tasty food. A perfect place to stop before heading back out to ski.

16/04/2026: A mandatory break after a great effort on a ski tour, smiles, friendliness, and of course, the incomparable taste of coffee in this atmosphere...

25/04/2026: Not great. We tried it on the last day the restaurant was open. It was supposed to be a set menu for €22, including grilled meat (either chicken or sausage), fries or gratin, salad, and dessert. We sat down, but there was no more chicken, so we got two sausages, a handful of fries, and some salad. And when it came time for dessert, there was nothing left—no dessert, nothing to replace it, not a free drink, not a discount on the bill. €22 is a lot for two chipolatas and a handful of fries!

25/03/2026: Since its expansion, this restaurant has unfortunately lost its friendly atmosphere, which is a real shame. It's best enjoyed on a sunny day, as you're likely to get very cold when it's cooler.

22/03/2026: The food was of good quality but lacking in quantity. The veranda area was not very well heated.

21/03/2026: We came for a drink in the early evening, but the prices were exorbitant. Once we were served, after 10-15 minutes the waiter came back to ask if we wanted to order more or pay, even though we hadn't finished our drinks. I found that inappropriate. Lacking tact. The waiter was unwelcoming, unfriendly, and clearly bored with his job. Overall, I was disappointed and it was overpriced. Avoid it.

13/07/2026: While the bar is really nice inside and the wine selection is extensive, the prices for the platters and other sharing platters are very high compared to the portion sizes. Paying €25 for a mixed platter is fine, but it should include a bit more of everything.

20/03/2026: After the first visit ,I came here 2 more times. The wine list is impressive, but being alone I stuck to wines by the glass. The service from Camille was commensurate with the wine list – exceptional. I was greeted each time in a friendly and professional manner. Everyone spoke beautiful English, but I’m sure that my experience would’ve been even better (if that’s possible ) if I spoke French. The charcuterie board was artfully laid out, and the burrata salad and roasted vegetables excellent. I wish I was here longer to experience more of the menu . Highly recommend.

11/03/2026: A delightful time shared with friends who are regulars. We enjoyed a tasting of a very good St. Joseph Gripa, recommended by the owner. The shared meal was fabulously delicious. We'll be back to treat ourselves again.

13/07/2026: The perfect spot for a cool lunch in the air-conditioned dining room (admittedly, it can feel a bit cramped) or on the terrace. A good selection of dishes made with fresh ingredients. I recommend the cafeteria if you're in the area!

16/06/2026: Came on a Saturday around 12:30pm. There was a board outside advertising their homemade burgers. I went into the restaurant to order the burger menu and was told they didn't have the burger today because the chef wasn't there. Weird for a Saturday, but no problem. Tried to order a side of fries, but that wasn't available. Ok maybe only cold things available, no problem. Asked for a bagnat sandwich, not available. Asked for a smoked salmon bagel, not available. Does those require a chef too?? On IG they advertise that if the display case doesn't have the sandwich you want, they will make it fresh for you. Obviously not today! Ended up getting an overpriced chicken sandwich that was nothing special.

09/06/2026: Disappointed. Given the reviews and the hype surrounding homemade food, I was expecting a real treat... The bread was very dry and there wasn't much filling, but the quality was good. Over €13 for a set menu, a bit pricey for what I got.

11/03/2026: We were on a ski holiday in Aussois and if you are looking for a place with hearty local food and warm service, this is a great option.

02/03/2026: Excellent value for money. The galettes and crêpes are delicious, served with a generous side salad. The galettes are very well filled. The prices are reasonable, especially for the galettes, crêpes, syrup, and ice cream. I recommend it if you're looking for a good restaurant. Good to know: they open from 4:30 pm for tasty and reasonably priced afternoon snacks.
