02/01/2026: We stayed three nights at the Auberge de Savoie in Moûtiers with friends. The welcome was very good, and the staff were pleasant and smiling, which was much appreciated. However, our experience was severely marred by serious issues with comfort and cleanliness. From the moment we arrived, there was an extremely unpleasant sewer smell in the room. Air freshener plugs were already in place to mask the odor, but they were toilet air fresheners, which still left a persistent and very unpleasant smell. So much so that all our clothes left smelling of it, even those in our suitcases. The carpet in the room was in a deplorable state: numerous questionable stains, a very dirty appearance, to the point that we didn't dare walk barefoot or in socks. It clearly hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. The box spring was also stained (including with blood), which is unacceptable. Other negative points: • No safe in the room • The two single beds were not at the same height, and the mattresses were very worn • We had pushed the beds together to sleep as a couple, but housekeeping systematically separated them again • The trash was not emptied • The blankets were barely made, giving the impression of sloppy cleaning On the positive side, the bathroom was reasonably clean. In summary, despite a friendly welcome, the overall condition of the room and the lack of cleanliness do not meet the expectations one has for a multi-night stay. Significant improvements are needed regarding hygiene, room maintenance, and odor control.

17/06/2026: We were on the outdoor terrace at 6:00 PM today. We arrived a little early, and they were setting up tables around us, but not ours, even though we were already seated. No glasses, no water! After ordering, the drinks arrived, then nothing for 45 minutes. Then things started to go wrong. Both pizzas were brought to the table burnt. The server didn't say a word about the condition of the pizzas, and there was no "Enjoy your meal." When we complained about both plates, they rolled their eyes and cleared them away without a word. At the same time, we asked for the bill for the drinks. There was no response. We asked for the bill again, and then things really went downhill! The chef had put two more pizzas in the oven—without consulting us—and hadn't discussed what to do next. The server didn't listen, even though we were speaking French, and literally shouted at us and grabbed for our wallets. We barely managed to grab them and pull them back. Be careful when complaining! Only when we earnestly pleaded in French did the server finally listen and stop shouting. The result: a burnt pizza and we paid for the two drinks to avoid further arguments and confrontations. NEVER AGAIN THIS PLACE. Read other reviews; we should have been warned.

06/04/2026: Bar closed at 4:40pm… completely rediculous. Last lift up is at 4:50, so at least give people the chance for ons last drink before they return to the hotel… Loud music and people dancing with full glasses seemed like the party was still goin when we arrived at 4:45…

26/03/2026: Plan Du Repos is easily the best bar on the hill. We have been many times and have always been welcomed with open arms by Vincent and his extremely hard working team. The food is always excellent for a quick bite before getting back on the skis, I most recently had an incredible soup. Apres there is by far the best, incredible atmosphere every time they put on live music or a DJ. THE BEST VIEW IN THE RESORT. I could spend all day there and I have many times. Also the cheapest pint in the resort. All of the drinks are on point. Me and my wife absolutely love this place. Too many mountain bars try to be like the follie duce. The aesthetic here is exactly what you would want to find on the mountain. Prices up The mountain are always expensive, but people forget the massive logistical operation it takes to keep places like this open, especially as they are closed for half the year. 07/07/2026: Opening of L'Iseran on June 12th, 2026. One of the only restaurants open, packed with people but very nice for a burger and draft fries dinner.

28/05/2026: Great food, service leads a lot to be desired, you would nearly think the staff are being held against their own will they are that uninterested maybe a slight bit of humour or a smile wouldn’t go amiss

05/07/2026: The setting is very pleasant, allowing you to fully enjoy your meal on the terrace. The dishes are beautifully presented, delicious, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. It's a place I highly recommend and where I will gladly return.

22/03/2026: We ate there twice, the pizza chef is excellent. We weren't planning on ordering pizza, but it was a very pleasant surprise! The desserts are good too. The self-service system isn't very welcoming, but frankly, we weren't disappointed with anything else. A very pleasant surprise.

14/03/2026: The La Bergerie mountain restaurant in Valfréjus boasts a lovely location, and the place itself is pleasant. It could be a truly fantastic spot for a break in the mountains. Unfortunately, the major drawback is clearly the service, especially at the bar. A particularly unpleasant young waitress, without a smile and unfriendly, made us feel like we were bothering her when ordering. The waiter, for his part, was impressively slow. The result: phenomenally long wait times at the bar, which completely ruined the experience. We especially get the feeling that they're taking advantage of being the only restaurant at this altitude, which means customers don't really have any alternatives. It's a shame, because with decent service, the place could be truly enjoyable. But as it stands, the welcome and service don't even deserve one star.

19/10/2025: So here we have reached, not the summits, but the human stupidity of high-altitude catering. If you arrive in traditional ski gear, you are looked down upon and put in a corner. EVERYTHING is overpriced, the music is way too loud, you can even hear it from the top of La Saulire! An establishment like we no longer want in Courchevel, fed up with this kind of wart at the top of our beautiful mountains. Return to traditional and accessible.

29/08/2025: Rude waiter and super expensive. Also super loud. People are coming to the mountains to relax not listen to your stupid music. Food is average, nothing special.

25/05/2026: I'm posting this comment because I don't understand these people who systematically criticize restaurants, and by extension, restaurant owners and their employees. I've eaten several times at La Peau Vache in Val d'Isère, both for family meals and business lunches, and I've never been disappointed. Perhaps these people who constantly criticize should change their approach to the staff and take into account the challenges of working in the restaurant industry. As for me, I've always been very well received and served. I highly recommend this establishment; the decor is exceptional, and the location is simply magnificent. A big thank you to the entire team for your professionalism and dedication.

22/04/2026: April 22nd, lunchtime with my children. Clearly avoid this place; there are much better options elsewhere in the resort for the same price. I ordered the Milanese-style veal cutlet, and the pasta served with it was inedible, far too overcooked. The tomato sauce clearly came from a completely industrial container. We pointed this out to the waiter and asked for a replacement, but they gave us the same pasta even more cooked, claiming it was cooked "the French way." The fries were more like cardboard than potatoes. In short, a huge disappointment. It was very good last year.

02/04/2026: Great place for an evening with friends! We enjoyed a delicious fondue, cold beers, and a perfect tiramisu. The warm and stylish decor made the atmosphere even more pleasant.

28/03/2026: With a view of the lake, I went several times for a drink, inside or on the terrace; the atmosphere is nice at lunchtime in the quiet or in the late afternoon, with a few more people.

13/05/2026: We had booked a table for 10 people at this restaurant for a bachelorette party, after making sure to ask beforehand if there would be any atmosphere. We were assured there would be a DJ. Two days before, we finally received a text message informing us that the DJ would be absent. I then contacted them again to ask if there would still be music, making it clear that it was a bachelorette party and that we wanted a festive evening. I was told that there wouldn't be any problem and that they would play music. On the day, huge disappointment: we arrived and learned that we would be the only customers in the restaurant that evening. No atmosphere, no anticipation, nothing. You should have warned us that there would be no one there and no festive atmosphere. A bachelorette party isn't something you do every weekend. There's no point in saying we should have asked for music: it's not up to the guests to control the atmosphere of an evening, especially after all the assurances given before booking. When you host guests for such an important event, you do everything you can to ensure they have a good time. So we dined alone, in dim lighting, with several dishes unavailable on the menu. A very bad experience and a huge disappointment.

10/05/2026: No atmosphere whatsoever. A DJ was supposed to be there but didn't show up. The staff were not at all friendly or welcoming.

08/04/2026: I was surprised to be served a squashed almond croissant when there were nicer ones available. It's the kind of detail that makes you not want to come back. It's not very professional. It's a shame, because it detracts from the experience.
