01/08/2026: I strongly advise against this place; the staff are very intrusive and unfriendly, and there is a long wait for a beer and a cocktail even if there are only 2 of you for 4 servers.

17/07/2026: Very good sorbets. The way Bistrot du Palais operates has become incomprehensible, as it keeps its old main entrance closed, forcing customers to take a long detour inside to reach tables facing Rue Favre. This company, which also manages Café de l'Horloge and O'Cardinal, seems to be focusing solely on a decent decor and location. Since the manager is almost never there, and avoids customers when she is, patrons only deal with servers who take no responsibility and, with a few exceptions, don't stay long.

21/04/2026: The stay was, as always, very pleasant. However, breakfast was clearly not up to the hotel's usual standard this year. The selection of hot dishes was particularly limited and repetitive, consisting mainly of average-quality poultry sausage and white rice each morning. The offering lacked variety and refinement, especially compared to previous seasons when breakfast was significantly better. This is why my rating is lower in this respect.

03/03/2026: We had a great experience at La Sivoliere. All the staff were very kind, warm, helpful and professional with a smile always on their face. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel home away from home. The service was perfect. The rooms were small but cozy and equipped with everything we need. The ski shop was great with always the great help of Antonio and Coralie. The Concierge team tried to accommodate all our requests with patience. The reception team were always ready for anything. Finally, all the shuttle drivers were super nice and real gentlemen. We will definitely go again there next year.

13/08/2026: After a 4-hour hike, I was convinced to stop for lunch at the refuge, which was marked open, and I found it closed. It's bad behavior not to mark the closure.

17/08/2026: An outrageously expensive disaster, if you're looking to have your prices ripped off and receive items that don't match the menu. Go ahead, you won't be disappointed. Beef carpaccio with three cherry tomatoes and a tiny bit of salad with the linguine with truffle for €23. The truffle wasn't even there, which is a shame because the waitress was very kind and well-intentioned.

Excellent value for money that makes you want to return.

27/08/2026: The staff were great, however, at the casino I didn't know it had changed everything. The roulette wheel is incomprehensible. I won't be back; it's just horrible to play with this kind of roulette.

20/08/2026: It was our first time at this casino; a pleasant experience, especially since when it came time to pay the bill for our meal at the restaurant, the owner offered us complimentary aperitifs! It was an all-you-can-eat buffet with everything we needed, for only €20. I highly recommend it. Thank you...

05/08/2026: Always a great time at Maryse's! She's a real character! The food is always top-notch!

19/04/2026: A must for a fantastic time. A dining room or terrace with a breathtaking view, yes indeed, and a truly authentic face in front of the oven: Maryse, who's been there since…ooh! The pizzas are sensational with a perfectly crispy crust, but don't forget (like we did today) the amazing lasagna. And then there's the famous blueberry tart…when they have them, because Maryse refuses to buy them. They make the pastry soggy. Or, failing that, her lemon tart. Should you ask if everything is homemade? If I were you, I'd avoid asking 😡 In short, a great time in an exceptional setting that's well worth the effort.
