21/10/2025: A tiny jewel in a small village. There were 6 total tables, maybe room to squeeze a 7th. Be ready for a place that oozes charm: ancient wood-beamed ceiling; a large fireplace/oven; a hand-written menu du jour that arrives at your table. My salmon carpaccio appetizer melted on the way down, the large Daurade (sea bream) was perfectly seared outside from the wood fire while soft and savory inside, perfectly accompanied by seared carrots and persimmon (now that's a delight if you've never had one), and rice. OK, I'm not used to the head-on-fish presentation, but, hey, it's France in the countryside. I laughed at some of the negative reviews, like someone who was put off for not accommodating his party of 11. In a 6-table restaurant? Really? Several reviewers found chef-owner Christophe curmudgeonly? As most French, they're reserved until you actually talk with them. I ended up staying well after closing and partying with the chef (trained for 3 years in the US) and a French couple who are also restaurant owners. Now that's a serious recommendation. GO. You'll love it. Pricey? Would you rather eat a forgettable $50 meal or a dreamy $70 meal (appetizer, glass of wine, main, and dessert)?

15/10/2025: Really good French food - with a twist. Nico himself stands in front of the large charcoal oven and prepares fantastic meat dishes etc. It tastes like something! The atmosphere is wonderful and the music is good!

27/06/2024: Une attente de 45 min. Arrivée à 12h25 plus de plat du jour....un coca cola à 5.50E...... et nous avions réservé. Je déconseille.

04/05/2024: Très déçu par la qualité des plats Beaucoup de verdure dans les assiettes . La présentation ne fait pas tout !!! Un tarif prohibitif pour une table quelconque.

14/08/2024: Repas rapide avant spectacle au festival du château. Nourriture simple assiettes sobres et prix correct. Accueil agréable.

26/07/2024: Une salade italienne avec de la vieille salade restée dans un sachet et à laquelle on n a même pas enlevé les bouts ",marron" et pas en grande quantité 2 petits bouts de jambon qui ne font même pas une tranche quelques morceaux de mozzarella et de parmesan accompagné d un morceau de gressin. 14.5 euros je trouve cela très abusé. Il ne restait presque rien des desserts affiches à la carte et et serveuses pressées et pas très à l écoute. Concert de slimane au château donc beaucoup de monde mais on avait réservée dans ce cas là le restaurant devrait prevoir peut etre ... Et pour couronner me tout toilettes qu on ne peut pas utiliser On n y retournera plus

25/09/2024: Very well located hotel, on the beach. Very good breakfast, friendly staff. The hotel is a little old and therefore quite noisy.

23/09/2024: This hotel could be a gem, great location, shame bathroom to be reviewed including the taps. On the other hand, no luck the 2 nights spent in the hotel with a nauseating smell of sewer, obviously a difficult problem to resolve but the boss could have made a commercial gesture, not even an apology.

12/09/2024: Excellente surprise. Une cuisine créative, voire osée, mais réussie ! Des plats recherchés pour lesquels nous étions cobayes car c’était le premier jour d’une nouvelle carte. Je conseille !

15/12/2024: L'arrivée au restaurant gastronomique se fait à taton de nuit, avec peu d'indications arrivés sur site. Il nous est demandé de stationner à l'extérieur, le parking à proximité du restaurant étant réservé à la clientèle de l'hôtel..... Accueil plutôt dynamique et souriant, puis, bine fois placés à table, rien pendant 10 minutes... Le reste du service a été parfois erratique, avec un service pour un table de 4 souvent effectué par deux aller retour d'un serveur seul... Original dans un tel établissement... La carte des champagnes est très courte et peu diversifiée. Le reste du repas en 5 séquences était très bien. Des plats originaux, aux saveurs délicates et très joliment dressées.

06/10/2024: Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso, la comida era deliciosa, el vino era fantásticamente recomendable. No podemos esperar a volver, no nos sentimos apresurados en absoluto. Todo fue perfecto.

02/08/2024: Wanting a coffee and a coffee, we sit on the terrace (empty at 5 p.m.). the only waiter, a slightly older gentleman, tells us that he doesn't make smoothies. Either. We ask for 2 more glasses of water, we get a tired and tired look. We had the audacity to ask for a second glass of water because it was hot... (Sorry for being thirsty). Faced with his lack of motivation, I suggest going to pay for the drinks and collecting the glass of water directly from the counter. So lousy welcome, interior of the cafe in a mess, not very clean. There is no shortage of nice cafés in Toulon. The only freedom is to look elsewhere.
