20/12/2025: Fantastic! A wide selection of all-you-can-eat food, and recently, a glass of wine or beer is included in the all-you-can-eat deal, along with unlimited canned drinks and a free coffee or tea at the end of your meal! Ideal for families, friends, and more, and the all-you-can-eat deal is unbeatable 👍 I'll be back often!

18/05/2026: Starter: an assortment of bland, tasteless fried doughnuts, spring rolls, and ravioli. Main courses: we ordered Massa-man beef curry, but were served beef in coconut milk. We pointed it out, but they didn't care and charged us anyway! Not even a gesture of goodwill, nothing! And to top it all off, my son and I were sick…we completely ate! We'd been loyal customers since Montfort, but that's it, we're done. This was the last straw!

18/05/2026: A fantastic find! The food is excellent. It's a shame you can't order in advance by phone, as the phone just rings and no one ever answers. So, it's best to order in person; the food is prepared quickly. The takeaway portions are generous.

27/07/2026: I do not recommend. Poor reception. Terrible service. Excessive and inflated prices depending on the time of day.

15/07/2026: "You should have chosen something else!" That's the bartender's response when you tell him the red wine is horribly warm... Enough said, avoid at all costs.

27/05/2026: My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Versailles. Immediately upon entry, the staff let us know “No Anglaise”. Despite that, she was so incredibly helpful and even brought out a book to show us what fish were on the menu. It was the most incredible meal of our entire trip to France and she had the cutest pup behind the counter. We will be learning more French and going back!! Don’t be discouraged by the language barrier, just be ready to have the best scallops of your life.

27/06/2026: The setting is magical: an old mill, a river, a terrace overlooking the garden, a spacious room with a fireplace where the tables are well-spaced. The service is extraordinary. We were greeted by a charming person who personally attended to us. I've been there three or four times. But the food doesn't live up to the setting and the service! A huge disappointment the last two times. What a shame! With a talented chef and a proper kitchen team, this restaurant would be a huge success!

23/06/2026: Extremely disappointed with this restaurant! The value for money is appalling; the starters were very mediocre with no presentation whatsoever, the sea bass was inedible, and had a very suspicious taste! We had to send the order back to the kitchen to get the desserts we had ordered, but they were just as bad: sticky rice pudding, dripping whipped cream, no presentation, and the rhubarb was completely undercooked. A disappointment from beginning to end! We do not commend the chef and will certainly not recommend this restaurant. At this price, everything needs to be reviewed!

06/08/2026: Update: Reply to the restaurant's response below the initial review I hesitate to leave even 3 stars - the morning service deserves 5 stars and the afternoon (after 3 pm), 0, or less if it was possible. Bruce, who works in the morning, is exceptional. Professional as can be and friendly - if you're a regular, you're greeted with your standard order before you can even ask. I couldn't imagine a better way to start the day. However - after 3 pm, the service changes as the cafe turns into a pub where you have to order at the counter and bring your own drink to your table. I recently met with a friend who was unfamiliar with the practice and when she asked if she could go find a table, was told yes. Rather than explaining that she'd need to wait for her cafe, he prepared it (sloppily, with coffee spilled all over the saucer) and left it on the counter. When I went to retrieve the now cold cafe and order for myself, I questioned him about why he didn't let her know, and the server wound up screaming at me, shocking other customers, telling me it was obvious and that everything was explained on a sign nearby, which says "service au bar". My friend, whose native language is Spanish, had misunderstood, and having spoken with French customers since, I've learned it's not too clear for them, as they also thought that you ordered at the bar and were served at your table. The system isn't clear and as my friend's experience indicates, even if you ask politely, you're not given an explanation, then blamed for not understanding it. Conclusion: if you're looking for a welcoming spot to have an excellently prepared cafe, this is the go-to place. Before 3 pm. After 3 pm, avoid at all costs - you'll get unprofessional, unfriendly service from a barman who thinks he's god's gift to humanity and won't hesitate to scream at clients. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Concerning the restaurant's response: I believe there must be problems with the automatic translation into French from whatever language the response was originally written in, as the message is hard to understand and comes loaded with grammatical errors. Nevertheless, if I understood correctly, I can clarify some details - as I explained the day of the incident, my friend (who is not blond) has been there 2-3 times in the afternoon but was unfamiliar with the order of operations. And, as stated in my review, I have spoken with a French friend who has been there far more often and, despite that, was also unfamiliar with the operations, thinking that "service au bar" meant order at the bar, and you'd be served at the table. The fact is my friend specifically asked if she could go sit down and was told yes. Not yes, but wait/come back for your drink - a simple statement that would easily clarify the order of operations and was simple enough to say to ensure the process worked as they wished. Neither my friend nor I am unfamiliar with the restaurant industry having both previously worked as waitresses. Speaking to clients in such a manner would have gotten us fired. It's simply unacceptable, as other clients present visibly agreed. Furthermore, I never said I had a problem with the process - I rightly have a problem with the way we were treated, the presentation of the cafe, the fact that the server couldn't just step outside to explain when he noticed she wasn't coming back or clarify from the beginning, rather than passive-aggressively letting the cafe sit on the counter for 15 min while he was unoccupied. If the server needed to be that petty, he could have at least prepared a new one, and one that wasn't spilled onto the plate. To readers of the initial review - I believe the response gives you an idea of the kind of treatment you get in the evenings. Again - wonderful place to go before 3 pm - you're greeted warmly, served promptly and with a smile, the perfect way to start your day.

02/08/2026: I went there for a couple of drinks while passing through Poissy, and yeah, it's a little bar where you have to order at the counter, a bit of a rip-off, but oh well, it's not the end of the world. As for the atmosphere the evening I went, it wasn't great for an August night.

25/04/2026: Thanks again for the éclairs...very good. The macarons are delicious...and the saleswoman is lovely and clearly enjoys her customers.

27/12/2025: Very disappointed. In December 2024, I ordered an Ispahan cake. Upon arrival, the order was sold out, and we received the Ispahan Yule log. In December 2025, I ordered another Ispahan cake (serves 6-8) by phone. Upon arrival, the order hadn't been taken! 🥵 Luckily, we arrived early, and there was one left. We might avoid a third order!

21/01/2026: Delicious galettes and crêpes! A great menu. Extremely friendly and welcoming service 😍 What more could you ask for!!!

26/11/2025: A very bad experience at La Caverne des Artistes. The galettes and crêpes are clearly lacking in quality: soggy batter, often low-end and tasteless fillings—one wonders if the ingredients come from a discount wholesaler rather than a real chef. The prices are high—absolutely no value for money. The service is appalling when the restaurant is finally open; the welcome needs improvement, and you can't rely on either the menu or the advertised opening hours. As it stands, I strongly advise against going: it's best to avoid it altogether.

16/01/2026: Delicios food. We had crepes with meat, soup and dessert, and it's difficult to explain how good these meals were. The chocolate ice cream was superb! I’d definitely come back.

01/01/2026: Amazing butter and sugar crepe, and a very pleasant and friendly waiter.

08/08/2026: This restaurant accepts Smartbox vouchers, but the one they offered was worth €120, while the average price for two is €90, so the voucher wasn't a good deal. The food was nice and quite good. The dining room looked decent, but we ate outside by the road on rather uncomfortable chairs at a table without a tablecloth or placemats. The service was pleasant and quick.

24/07/2026: Great restaurant, everything homemade (including foie gras AND smoked salmon), very friendly owner, original desserts... honestly, go without hesitation (and with your mouth open)!

28/04/2026: I ordered the lunch special: main course + dessert, with an egg mayonnaise as a starter (not included in the set menu). The waiter refused to charge me the price of the set menu plus the à la carte price of the egg mayonnaise. He charged me for the starter + main course + dessert à la carte. Unacceptable!!!
