The dining rooms are intimate without feeling cramped, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. My only small wish would be a broader selection of wine by the glass, though I understand how challenging that can be for a smaller restaurant without creating waste. A carafe or “half bottle” option could be a nice middle ground, but this is a minor and very personal note. Overall, Le Cottage is our favorite restaurant in the area. It is consistently delicious, cozy, and exactly the kind of place you want to return to again and again. ⸻ French Le Cottage is a charming address that offers classic French cuisine, executed with great care and precision. The different dining rooms are intimate without being cramped, creating a very pleasant and convivial ambiance. My only small wish would be a slightly wider selection of wines by the glass, although I completely understand that this can be difficult for a restaurant of this size without incurring losses. A carafe or half-bottle option could be a good compromise, but that remains a very personal preference. In any case, Le Cottage is our favorite restaurant in the area. It's a sure bet, always delicious, cozy, and a place we want to return to regularly.

09/12/2025: Good evening. We went there this Saturday. The atmosphere was just okay. Unfortunately, the restaurant has lost its charm with the new decor, which is certainly modern but has no connection to Leon's origins (beaches, Belgium, the name of all the mussel dishes). The aprons on each server used to give a nice, local touch from the north. Before, we had a wide selection of mussels (more than ten) and waffles too. Now there are only four or five mussel dishes, no more seafood, and a few other dishes, but nothing special. The casserole size has been reduced, as has the portion of fries. And the beer selection is limited to three amber beers. The famous Leon waffle/Grandpa Leon waffle is no longer available, even though we came specifically for it. The waitress was pleasant, but nothing more. I think the new designers are trying to appeal to a younger clientele (I'm one of them, but they've missed the mark) with a rather bland atmosphere. The Hawaiian/beach theme has nothing to do with what was presented before... it could have been improved, but we were disappointed; there were other ideas they could have used. So, we've been coming for years, but frankly, we won't be back because we're disappointed with the choice.
