13/04/2026: What a marvel! It's pure magic to see how this chef transforms magnificent ingredients into pure delight, marrying the nobility of the product with the poetry of the presentation. Every bite was an enchantment for the taste buds. I had wanted to try this restaurant for some time, but I hadn't had the opportunity until recently. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end! The waitstaff demonstrated impeccable professionalism and attentiveness. It couldn't have been better. The foie gras was absolutely divine! It had a velvety texture, enhanced by the light crunch of fleur de sel, and was accompanied by delicate gingerbread toasts whose lightness perfectly highlighted the original flavor of the product, all enhanced by a fruit chutney. I won't spoil the surprise that awaits you on the menu of this establishment. See for yourself. There's also a very good set menu at a very reasonable price for lunch on weekdays and Saturdays. The atmosphere is very pleasant. I particularly appreciated the lush greenery of the many plants and the interesting paintings on the walls. Furthermore, the charm of the old building and the stone floors created a feeling of great comfort. I must admit that the town of Houdan is brimming with talent, no matter where I look. I love it! Thank you! We'll be back!

16/04/2026: There were two of us, a friend and myself, and we were delighted to be going to this restaurant, which we hadn't been to before. I must say, we received a very warm welcome; we were the first customers. We learned that it had been under new ownership for a year. We had heard very positive reviews of the establishment and were unaware of the change. The stone dining room has a pleasant atmosphere. The menu is written on a chalkboard. We chose a starter of Crottin de Chavignol cheese on a bed of mesclun. The contents of the plate were not the same: a plain, shredded salad and a small piece of cheese on a slice of baguette, as hard as a rock! The meat course came with a cold pepper sauce and the same tasteless salad! We decided against ordering dessert… the disappointment was enough! We mentioned this to the restaurant, and I must admit they apologized, saying they wouldn't charge us for our starters and offering us a free coffee. The bill arrived, and my friend paid. I was surprised by the amount, and we left the restaurant. That's when we realized the salads had been charged. We went back to the restaurant to point it out. No problem, the owner refunded the cost of the appetizers. I must admit, despite his apologies, we won't be going back; it was a bad experience. We also noticed that our two neighbors at the next table had similar complaints, saying one of their dishes was cold. It's a shame because the interior and exterior are set back from the street, making it peaceful.

09/03/2026: A huge disappointment with the French toast (was it frozen?), which was really not up to standard. It's therefore difficult to justify prices that are higher than many other restaurants in Versailles... Furthermore, parking in the area is extremely difficult in the evening.

08/04/2026: An absolutely perfect lunch at La Flottille restaurant! 🌿✨ The setting is as magnificent as ever, but what truly made the difference today was the quality of the service. The staff were incredibly attentive, caring without ever being intrusive, and genuinely welcoming. A special mention goes to Farid and Mehdi, who treated me like royalty 👑: kindness, smiles, attention to detail… everything was perfect. An experience as pleasant as it was delicious, I highly recommend it and I can't wait to return!

07/11/2025: Finally, the establishment has been taken over and has reopened, much to my delight. The main dining room has been dusted off, and the furniture replaced. A simple yet high-quality menu, with the kind of unpretentious atmosphere we love in this type of place. For those who enjoy it: Calf's head... We're looking forward to summer; perhaps the terrace will finally bring some life to the square. Congratulations to the new owners.
