14/01/2026: Hi, I know what to write, but go ahead, honestly I loved the food, plus the setting was beautiful and the owner was lovely. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable, except for the Coke, but that more than made up for it on the bill. Two €36 set menus included (2) foie gras as starters, (1) sirloin steak, (2) a wild boar duo, (1) crème brûlée (which I highly recommend), (2) a chocolate-vanilla pastry, and cheese. Everything was both beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. Plus two Cokes at €7 each (€14 for both). In short, I recommend it. 👌🏼

12/01/2025: Very generously garnished pancakes. But lack of butter! Staff a bit rushed as we leave after 2 p.m.... Good value for money. Be careful when walking at the front door. Door which is a little difficult to open

12/12/2024: Very friendly little creperie, it might be wise to make a reservation. Mostly frequented by regulars. Fast and smiling service. For 2 formulas with a pancake, a dessert crepe, a bowl of cider and 2 coffees we paid 35.40 euros. If there is no space on the street there is free parking in the square above.

03/09/2024: Fun stop and interesting place to discover. Great visit with kids. Easy parking (5eur), no queues, not crowded, and nice. The only thing to improve would be that they do not have signs and explanations of exhibits in English.

24/06/2025: I have mixed feelings because the food was very good, beautifully presented, and the restaurant was lovely. However, after the meal, I quickly became ill. I had the bluefin tuna as a starter and the prawns as a main course. I suppose there was a problem with the cold chain, given the heat right now, but given the price of the dishes, that's not normal!

05/01/2025: Very nice discovery. Each dish was delicious, with the ultimate...dessert. Poached pear sprinkled with hazelnuts, almonds and a salted butter caramel coulis, killer! Without forgetting the team, who took great care of us. I would come back.

02/01/2025: Si la cuisine est toujours aussi bonne, l'ambiance particulièrement bruyante en ce soir de réveillon à gâchée le plaisir de la table. D'une soirée cosy avec diner aux chandelles nous sommes passé à une ambiance de cantine survoltée avec l'arrivée tardive d'un groupe de plus de 40 personnes et d'une douzaine d'enfants dans une salle manifestement pas adaptée ! Lorsque nous en avons fait la remarque la maitresse des lieux nous à répondu qu'elle se devait d'accepter eu égard à son chiffre d'affaire. Madame, dans ce cas il vous suffisait de privatiser la salle sans imposer un repas de groupe aux autres convives.

05/12/2025: An absolutely exceptional experience at La Poularde in Houdan! We ate incredibly well from start to finish. Every dish was perfectly balanced, refined, and exquisitely delicate, with flavors mastered to perfection. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, and the setting is simply magnificent. We paired our meal with a wonderful Crozes-Hermitage—pure bliss. And a special mention for the chicken with truffles—without exaggeration, the best I've ever had! The trio of hot and cold chocolates was a pure delight, perfectly balanced, neither too sweet nor too rich—a true triumph. It's impossible not to mention the Houdan pâté: the best in the area, a multi-award winner, and more than worthy of its reputation. This historic establishment is a must-visit in Houdan, perfectly blending tradition and modernity. A huge congratulations to Sylvain, the chef, who is as generous in his cooking as he is in life. An exceptional restaurant that I recommend without hesitation.

11/12/2024: Endroit cosy mais la cuisine n'est vraiment pas a la hauteur du decor. C'est dommage car le lieu est tres agreable. Rien a voir avec ce qui etait propose a l'ouverture.

28/09/2024: Fairly high prices compared to the quality. Pleasant welcome at the entrance but not gracious waiter, didn't bring us the right wine, we pointed it out to him but he didn't seem to understand. Simple dishes but expensive overall. Not easy access via a large staircase on the square. Not too noisy atmosphere. Note, very beautiful view of the castle of St Germain en Laye, well located on a pleasant square.

24/01/2026: We've been going to this restaurant regularly for several years. And we're never disappointed. The ingredients are carefully chosen, and it shows in our meals. The service is impeccable. And a little extra that we would have loved for our twins: a dedicated children's area! Good meal.

27/01/2026: Some of the receptionists didn't speak English, which caused a problem at check-in. We had two rooms, and they wouldn't give us the keys even though they were in my name. The man insisted that the other person had to come because the room was in his name... strange. Otherwise, the rooms were clean and it's close to the city center.
