28/01/2026: After searching for a place to eat (about an hour), I finally stopped here out of desperation. I walked in without a reservation and received a very warm welcome. As a result, I had a great meal; each dish was delicious and the staff explained everything. Two negative points, however: 1/ The water wasn't to my taste. 2/ The flavors in some dishes were a bit off, meaning that with some, you only tasted a single flavor instead of experiencing a real explosion of taste. In short, next time I'll come back and make a reservation.

17/01/2026: We had often been recommended Le Bouchon restaurant in Gap for its local cuisine with Mediterranean touches blended with Asian flavors. We arrived quite early and started with excellent apple-ginger juice. While waiting for our starters, we were served a few cauliflower bites, equally delicious. We had ordered only one starter: a soft-boiled egg, squash velouté, and truffle cream. After tasting my partner's, I loved it so much that we ordered a second, which arrived in less than five minutes: very efficient service. For our main courses, we chose pork loin and chicken ballotine, both excellent, even though they weren't on the menu that evening. Meanwhile, the restaurant filled up considerably, especially with the arrival of a table of eight. Unfortunately, we then waited about 30 minutes without our plates being cleared or being able to order dessert. It was getting late, so we decided to pay and leave, which was a shame because the desserts looked very tempting. The waiter apologized for the wait and offered us complimentary drinks, a gesture we greatly appreciated. This is what convinced us to come back and try the desserts again… and finally taste them. Thank you for the warm welcome and the delicious food!

04/01/2026: A very warm welcome at this small country restaurant. Quick service, generous portions, and delicious food. We ordered lamb stew, potato gratin, a burger for two children, and a bottle of Tresbaudon wine! Perfect! All for 95 euros.

21/02/2026: We had a wonderful evening at Le Rustique restaurant after a snowshoe hike. The porcini mushroom fondue was excellent. The games on the table and the jukebox help pass the time while waiting for service when the restaurant is full. Very suitable for families with children.

14/02/2026: Oh my goodness... this is unbelievable! It's so frustrating not having it right near us. My husband and I absolutely love Massena Café in Marseille's Place Castellane, and frankly, it's a really clean restaurant with good ingredients and excellent dishes. My husband especially loves the Angus beef stew there; it's absolutely divine, so he never wants to go anywhere else. Here at the foot of the gargoyle, we hadn't made a reservation because our priority was booking for tonight, Valentine's Day. We were just looking for a place to eat last night and stumbled upon this wonderful spot. The welcome was impeccable and warm, the decor is beautiful and typical of the region, the cleanliness is spotless, and the food... it's impossible not to love it. So, this is the first time my husband has told me the meat is even better than at Massena Café, and yet until now, that was his go-to place. I had the delicious onion soup, and my husband opted for a Marseilles-style ribeye steak with homemade fries and a homemade pavlova for dessert—it was amazing. The waitress is so sweet, and the owner truly has a passion for cooking and a warm, friendly personality. I highly recommend this place. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced.

08/02/2026: Possibly one of my favorite dining experiences in France. The restaurant is cozy and inviting. The chef kind and charismatic grilling everything right in front of you. The flavors were brilliant and perfectly curated. Wonderful wine. We really enjoyed our time here!

14/01/2026: Very good! Excellent! The crêpe is always a safe bet! The dining area isn't huge and they don't take reservations... You have to come and hope you don't find the "full" sign on the door 😅 otherwise come back later or another day!

22/02/2026: The food is good, the place is perched high on the mountain, and it's a pleasure to come here and enjoy a delicious fondue by the fire. My son also enjoyed the hamburger. We come every year.

22/02/2026: The food was good, but there are other places in the resort that do the same. The atmosphere and service were mixed (given their ratings and the restaurant being full during peak season, they don't seem to be making much of an effort to be pleasant... at least that's my impression). We had to ask for salad because they only gave us a medium-sized salad bowl for a table of eight (everyone had ordered raclette and fondue in pairs). The service was minimal. When you come in a group, several times, leave good reviews, and are friendly and don't mind things like forgetting the carafe of water, bread, or charcuterie platters... a smile is appreciated. In short, a mixed experience!

24/02/2026: We waited 15 minutes at the entrance, only to be told they were full. They made no effort to seat us, even with the wait.
