The location is calm and peaceful, ideal for relaxation, with a magnificent, expansive garden and an extraordinary swimming pool. A true haven of luxury and serenity.

26/05/2026: A wonderful discovery since the change of ownership. We were already familiar with the establishment under the previous managers, and this was our first visit since the takeover. Frankly, a delightful surprise. The food was truly excellent, the dishes as beautiful as they were delicious, with real attention to detail. You can tell that the chef, who is also the owner, loves what he does. In the dining room, the owner creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We were able to enjoy the terrace, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A friendly place where you eat well and feel at ease. We will gladly return.

27/04/2026: A restaurant and inn that truly lives up to its name. Despite a late room reservation and Christophe's busy schedule—he was hosting distinguished guests privately at his table—he was kind enough to prepare a delicious dinner for me on the spot. The room had a cozy and comfortable bed, the swimming pool was a welcome aperitif after a long drive, and the peaceful, rural surroundings were perfect for a stroll. This is a stop just 5 minutes from the motorway that makes you want to extend your stay! I'll be back! A huge thank you to Christophe and Virginie for their memorable hospitality.

09/10/2025: We just had lunch, the tasting menu. An incredible discovery! Excellent flavors, beautiful presentation, and fantastic value for money. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about wines. Highly recommended.

22/09/2025: A wonderful meal with friends in a place that was certainly traditional but with contemporary decor. A very warm welcome from the owner and the gentleman in charge of service, professional and friendly. The 5-course menu was excellent, refined and appropriate for the season, accompanied by the proposed and very well-chosen wine pairing. An excellent address to try again!

04/06/2026: Warning: this review is only partially objective, as I'm very familiar with the place! Organic and local beers galore. Their motto? Passion. And it shows in all the team's creations, from soft drinks (Gaetan's bissap 🤌🏻) to liqueurs. A small bar and terrace offer the perfect spot to sip on all these wonderful brews in peace and quiet. You step into the heart of the best beer in the world and you never want to leave, and after all, why would you want to? Love you guys ❤️

04/07/2026: An absolutely perfect experience from start to finish! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a huge smile and exceptional kindness. The entire team is warm, attentive, and incredibly caring. As for the food, it was a true delight. The grilled meats were of exceptional quality: tender, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. The side dishes were generous, the ingredients were fresh, and everything was prepared with care. Every bite was a pleasure. The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is friendly, and you immediately feel at ease. It's the kind of place you want to return to again and again. A huge congratulations to the entire team for their professionalism and passion. For me, it's without a doubt one of the best grill restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of discovering. I recommend it 1000%! You can go without hesitation!

26/04/2026: Everything you could want on a Sunday afternoon: good food, a great atmosphere, excellent service, and little fish swimming just below in the clear waters of the Doubs River. Perfect! We'll be back.

20/08/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance and had a wonderful meal. Pizza and frog legs (served in two courses, which meant we didn't have to eat the last of the plate cold). The fries were crispy yet fluffy, just like the pizza. We didn't have time for dessert. The owner and waitress were welcoming and friendly, as they were throughout the entire meal. We had the pleasure of meeting the chef and took the opportunity to congratulate him. We will be delighted to return on our next trip to the area.

20/06/2026: Excellent stay at the Maison du Lac Chalain. The room was cool (in this heatwave) and spacious, the bathroom was superb, and the bedding was excellent. In the evenings, they offered a selection of suitable menus. An ideal location for exploring the Jura lakes region.

10/06/2026: Very friendly welcome. Clean room, but poorly soundproofed. Restaurant: good food but presentation needs improvement. Breakfast was good: fresh bread and pastries.

09/08/2026: The welcome was very disappointing and the staff were unpleasant. We arrived to eat pizzas and were received very poorly. We were treated in a discriminatory manner. A truly unpleasant experience that we will not repeat.

17/05/2026: This restaurant boasts an invaluable asset: its location and view! The staff is friendly, from the initial welcome to the attentive and smiling service: top-notch! The food is good, authentic cuisine made with fresh ingredients (meat and vegetables). The Jura fondue is good but not exceptional; we were left wanting more after that dish. Reservations are essential, especially for a table by the bay window with a lake view.
