25/11/2025: I love Subway, but please update your hours. I arrived on a Saturday at 7 PM, and online it said Subway closes at 10 PM. As a result, I arrived, and it was closed. This happens very often, so please update your hours.

31/08/2026: Disappointed. Apparently the vegetables are unlimited, but when I ask for olives, the guy only puts in 3 or 4 pieces. I ask for more, and he puts in another 3 or 4 pieces in a 30-cent sub. It used to be better; their sandwiches had more flavor. And don't even get me started on the staff; you get the feeling you're bothering them.
22/08/2026: Unfriendly atmosphere, avoid at all costs. The filling was ridiculous, there was hardly any salad or tomatoes, more than meat. Outrageous!

The set menus aren't available in July and August.
I ordered a flank steak and was served half a flank steak (which was good) with pre-packaged fries. The bread was equally pre-packaged, all for €16.90.
In short, we should have read the reviews.

A truly shameful experience. The owner is unpleasant, haughty, and completely unprofessional. It's a far cry from the kind of welcome one has the right to expect from an establishment.
And then, charging €0.30 for a glass of water is simply unbelievable. 😳 For 30 cents, it's obviously not the amount itself that's shocking, but the principle: the slightest gesture is charged, especially for a glass of water that tastes like limescale… They're really charging customers for a simple glass of water… It's petty and frankly ridiculous.
When you add the owner's attitude to that, it makes for a deplorable experience from beginning to end. There are plenty of places where you can be properly treated without wasting your time here.
I strongly advise against it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! 👎 Zero business acumen, zero hospitality, and a frankly unpleasant mentality.

02/11/2024: Landed here after leaving the Auberge St Pierre in despair. What a difference. Virtually immediate service with a smile, good food and great people-watching. "The Boss" then appeared in an amazing pair of bespoke bright red braces, which turns out to be his trademark. Quite a character.
A good time seemed to be had by all
30/10/2024: Sur une magnifique place (malheureusement défigurée par un immeuble-cube en béton de la caisse d'épargne), un bistrot cheleureux avec un accueil sympathique.
Malheureusement la cuisine n'est pas au niveau du reste

There were 7 of us passing through Anges for a Rugby match, and we discovered Lucullus.
We were charmed by the welcome of the owners and by their bistro-style cuisine.
During our next visit to Angers, we will return there with great pleasure, and this time we will eat on the Gastro side.
We highly recommend the restaurant "Lucullus"
20/03/2024: First of all, the place, a pretty vaulted cellar conducive to calm and a form of escape from the city. Then, few tables, a guarantee of avoiding the incessant and tiring hubbub found in other restaurants. Then very friendly service with very good waiters. And of course, the kitchen. Beautifully presented, sometimes with unexpected touches. Special dedication to the foie gras ravioli. The chef has cooked for the greatest but he doesn't flaunt it, a sign of quality, not to mention that the restaurant has existed for a long time, a sign of quality here again in the face of brands that waltz a little too much. Very nice experience in the end. At most, we could wish for a little more on the plates for certain dishes and desserts and a little more pronounced flavors sometimes (notably for the cointreau in the trilogy of desserts) but these tiny reserves should not hold us back from going there .

In addition, Médiline (hoping not to misrepresent his name) was very pleasant.
