15/08/2026: We had lunch there. We were seated immediately and the service was very quick, even though the restaurant was full. We ordered mussels and fries, which were very good, although the mussels were a bit small. They were served in a cream sauce. We thoroughly enjoyed them. I didn't find the desserts very good. They were canned fruit and industrial ice cream that could be of better quality.

We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary here, and honestly, having tried almost every restaurant in Cherbourg, Le Carabo is by far the best we've ever eaten at. It was so delicious! The service, the ambiance, and the dishes were all impeccable. Not a single grain of salt or pepper was needed; the meal was truly exceptional. A huge thank you for this culinary journey!

Food excellent quality and at €22.90 for a 3 course meal, it was excellent value for money. Nice atmosphere and prompt service - would definitely recommend and would return.

10/08/2026: We'd been meaning to come for ages... Upon arrival, there was no wait. We were seated by the manager wherever we wanted. The premises are very clean and functional. We received a welcome salad. The starter was excellent... you can choose between a 25cl or 33cl draft beer, which is rare... Veronica was there to serve us. She was absolutely lovely, professional, and discreet. We chose the burger with fries and Roquefort sauce... the sauce was perfectly balanced, rich, and simply perfect. I must emphasize that. The thick plates meant it cooled down quickly... we also had a non-alcoholic mojito. The fries were very good... the bread, like a cobblestone, was delicious. The strawberry-lemon sorbet was excellent... the strawberry flavor reminded me of my mom's homemade ice cream. The coffee was excellent; we're used to using a coffee machine, and this one was superb. The service was fast and the customer was completely respected. Veronica was there. The restrooms were spotless and functional, and there were games for children in a glass-enclosed room. Kudos to the manager! The team is perfect, including the cooks. (Note: the pickles are excellent and perfectly sweet and sour... the problem with some reviews about pickles is that they clearly don't know what they're doing... lol) The mojito had a bit too much syrup, but I'll mention it next time. You deserve your 5 stars!

16/08/2026: Popped in after a 3 hour drive from Brittany , 2 adults and 2 children , amazing pizza thin crust cooked to perfection and great toppings and flavour. Thank you

19/08/2026: While on vacation, we ordered pizzas and regretted being so far away because they were delicious. Furthermore, the two people running the truck were very welcoming, always smiling and cheerful.

01/08/2026: A Saint-Lô classic! The Saturday market in the town hall square is back, and what's more, the electricity syndicate has had the brilliant idea of ​​installing four DC charging stations for electric vehicles nearby! The location is now ideal for anyone with a car.

28/07/2026: Very unfriendly, rude service. Definitely not recommended!!! We wanted to have lunch, but we were only allowed to order drinks. The people next to us on the terrace were eating. When the drinks were brought, the card machine was held in front of my face and the amount was announced. The waiter was grumpy and rude.

01/08/2026: The decor is really nice, and the prices are very reasonable. You can tell the locals are happy to be there. I had a pizza (they make them on Friday nights) which was very good. The waitresses were pleasant, as was the setting on a square near a beautiful church.

24/07/2026: My partner and I went for drinks one evening, and while we were at this bar/restaurant, we felt like eating. So we booked a table for lunch the next day. It was a simple but very well-prepared meal. If you're ever in the village, I highly recommend it :)
