02/04/2024: What a brilliant restaurant, the food was near perfection with plenty of choice for everyone, the wine list was great and the team were excellent. Top quality raw ingredients were delicately blended and served in a wonderful environment. Look forward to visiting again soon and would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

31/03/2024: Wow wow wow!! Where do I begin? I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chez Roger. We were visiting Utah Beach when we realized it was lunch time and the closest, open place was Chez Roger. We drove 9 minutes down the road and arrived at this charming house on the sea. We were greeted by Ton Ton, the Bernese Mountain Dog, who belongs to Rafael. Our server, Rafael, welcomed us in, spoke PERFECT English, and offered us the two seats at the bar. He informed us that the chef chooses the menu, and helped us pick a great wine to go with the meal. We had three EXCELLENT courses and a wonderful time. Chez Roger truly feels like a hidden gem in Normandie and it is a MUST VISIT. Thank you to the entire team for welcoming us in!!! We love you, Chez Roger!!!!

29/03/2024: Best hotel experience of my lifeeeeeee! It really has that small town bed and breakfast feel, but in the fanciest way. The staff knew us and were incredibly helpful and friendly the entire time. It’s like they could read our minds with their service, they provided every dish and every amenity we could want before we even could ask for it! The food is to die for (so much better than the options we tried on Mont St Michel) and we were blown away with everything we tried here. I absolutely would come back again. My only complaint is that now they’ve ruined all other hotels for me because nothing else compares!

02/04/2024: Fans from the start, we have seen the cuisine and the restaurant evolve over the years. The new location on the swing bridge is just magical, an emblematic place in Cherbourg. I almost forgot to talk about the plate, finally the round of dishes and flavors! The trip is guaranteed, with creative, Japanese cuisine made with fresh, local products. I cannot recommend the Janne food/wine pairing menu highly enough. This place fully deserves a second star ⭐️⭐️

04/04/2024: Good surprise when returning from a walk on the Nez de Jobourg cliffs. Friendly welcome even though we had not booked. Beyond the menu, a reasonably priced menu is offered with interesting choice possibilities and elaborate cuisine. We enjoyed “the initiative of the moment” that day, the pan-fried scallops and their garnish. Excellent! For desserts, there are again interesting proposals that are different from what we are used to finding elsewhere. Friendly service and not devoid of humor, all in a great outdoor café.

16/03/2024: Very good evening surrounded by pancakes and crepes. The pancakes are hearty and a little advice is to take one with onions (they are caramelized to perfection). I recommend 100%.
