06/09/2026: We went for the first time with our friends who go there often. The welcome was fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed and there weren't many people. The exterior is lovely and quite peaceful. The waiter (Arthur 2) was very attentive and offered excellent advice from beginning to end of our visit. The drinks were delicious and refreshing. The dishes were beautifully presented and very tasty, plus the portions were generous (the beef ham was amazing!). And the desserts were divine! The strawberry tart, like a soft-baked cookie, and the chocolate mousse were pure bliss for the taste buds. I highly recommend this place; it was truly fantastic. Can't wait to go back! See you soon!

24/09/2026: The service was catastrophic and chaotic. We waited 30 minutes for our order, having arrived at 7:30 PM and left the restaurant at 10:00 PM for just one starter, one main course, and one dessert. Unacceptable! The champagne was served at room temperature, which was ridiculous and subpar. The food itself is always very good and well-prepared, however, the panzotti dish was a bit too small for pasta in terms of portion size; it was truly excessive. Therefore, I give this restaurant a bad rating, and it's entirely justified. I think if Michelin had been there that day, they would have been even harsher. A word to the wise.

07/09/2026: My most loyal customer, I know they'll never disappoint me, as these are the best empanadas I've ever eaten (and I've tried a lot). Only the last of the empanada humita left me with a slightly bittersweet feeling, but the deliciousness of the menu, the alfajores, and the staff's cheerful disposition make for a superb experience. The dining room is a bit noisy, but the takeout option lets you treat your friends and family. In short, it's incredibly delicious, and it's always nice to immerse yourself in Argentina with the decor and the (real) mate they sell.

16/08/2026: So conflicted about whether to even leave a review for this place. Possibly the worst dining experience we have had during our week of travelling in Spain and France... ... but that may have mostly been down to our unsophisticated pallates, and poor menu choices (v.s. other items we may have liked better). Had our choices better suited our tastes, I'm sure we would have actually had a really good experience, and that's the basis of the 3-star score. Quenelle of chicken had the texture of blamanche and an indistinct flavour profile, and the andouillette had the look, smell, taste, texture and warmth of a freshly laid turd. Both were probably 'good' - but it was just a bit unexpected. The execution of the food seemed on-point, especially e.g. the sauces (which we would expect from a Lyonnaise bouchon), it's just we didn't really enjoy the dishes. Even the desserts were a bit 'meh'. Drinks were nothing to write home about (the quality of the wine by the glass was nothing above bang-average table wine, and the AF beer was the frankly abhorrent Kronenbourg). Service was good, and the staff very friendly and obliging, though clearly busy. I would note that the food came out extremely quickly (rather too quickly), with no real break between courses. Value was very good, for authentic Lyonnaise food. Note that the excellent value Menu des Canuts is also available in the evening. The establishment seems to be going for a kind of hybrid modern/shabby vibe, and I'm not sure I fully got it. Mixed furniture, crockery etc... OK, but two of the bowls my food was served in were chipped. Tables inside were small. There are lots of people who will bang on about, say Jane Austen, when, by most objective measures, she churned-out some pretty dreary works of little literary merit. Yet there she still sits, exalted, on her pedestal. The same metaphor probably applies to Lyonnaise cuisine, if this is anything to go by. If it's your thing, though, you could certainly do worse than give this place a try. You might like it; in fact you probably will. So a mixed review, let's say.

15/08/2026: Excellent Lyonnais bistro, the service is impeccable and fast. We had the set menu with starter, main course, and dessert, and all three were a success. Absolutely worth it.

03/10/2026: My partner and I visited this traditional Lyonnais restaurant and we highly recommend it. The food, the service, the atmosphere… everything was fantastic. The woman who greeted and served us was absolutely lovely. If we return to Lyon, we'll definitely be back!

06/10/2026: A fantastic café in Croix-Rousse, especially for brunch! The breakfast set with bread, granola, and a choice of breakfast items was delicious, especially the granola – it was truly excellent! The cappuccino with oat milk was also very tasty! The service was extremely friendly, the atmosphere super relaxed, and even though it got a bit noisy, it was still easy to have a conversation. We felt very comfortable. We were there on a Monday, and it was already quite busy from 10:30 am onwards, so it's worth arriving a little earlier!
