13/08/2024: We had a lovely lunch here in May. The owners were delightful and so friendly. You can tell they really care about the food quality and making sure their guests are happy. I had the traditional pike pie and it was delicious. We were all very happy with our meals and would highly recommend.

28/07/2024: Très belle adresse, pas loin des quais de Saône. Petite carte, mais cuisine généreuse, préparée dans les règles de l’art. Le feuilleté au boudin en entrée vous ouvre réveille les papilles et vous prépare pour la suite. L’andouillette est très bien préparée. J’ai adoré la sauce moutarde et surtout la purée bien crémeuse. Une ile flottante, légère de par le nom et la constitution, histoire de finir en douceur. Service impeccable et amical. La cheffe de salle est à vis soins, en vous conseillant mets et vins.

20/09/2024: We had dinner on August 22, 2024 in this Lyon restaurant, the day after its resumption after its summer closure. The experience did not live up to our expectations because we expected more from this promising restaurant, recommended by the Michelin guide. The summer menu, obviously very light, was definitely a little “short” with a very limited choice of options. Several alternatives were also accompanied by supplements, including on wine. So much so that they became almost essential for an already limited choice. If the cuisine remains of high quality and the service impeccable, it is clear that the resumption of activity has been done at a minimum with basic offerings, which do not live up to the restaurant's pretensions. The room being already half full in the middle of the week, we are right to question the relevance of such a minimalist menu... The restaurateur responded to this criticism with this argument: “We understand your remark regarding the limited choice of our menu. However, we would like to explain to you that this choice is deliberate and has been an integral part of our philosophy for 13 consecutive years now. Our objective has always been to favor quality over quantity, by offering a short menu but entirely composed of homemade dishes, from starters to desserts, even including our ice creams and sorbets. » We maintain our criticism. By invoking the freshness of the products to justify his minimalist menu, the restaurateur avoids the question posed. When in such a short menu, there are so many extras, we increase the bill, quietly and seemingly nothing. In fact, the bill came to 71 euros/person (wine included), an amount much higher than the basic menu displayed (45 euros). Moreover, the selection of wines recommended by the boss (45 euros) was curiously unavailable, and replaced by a much more expensive bottle (73 euros), a proposal that we obviously refused. Since our first exchange, the restaurateur kindly pointed out to us that the prices are displayed on his website. However, he did not see fit to update his website this summer 2024 and in fact, it was his winter menu that was displayed at the time of our reservation. A regrettable omission. An oversight, without a doubt.

20/09/2024: Beautiful products, beautiful workmanship and excellent service; Bouchon Sully offers a first-rate culinary experience and renews the great Lyonnaise tradition. 07/09/2024: Beautiful atmosphere in the evening on the outdoor terrace in front of the restaurant on the street. Restaurant displays "full", I think you need to book in advance. It's nice to see happy people eating their dinner under the sky and the stars. It makes you want it.

Honestly the quality is there but the price on the other hand... I think you can find just as good but at more reasonable prices in Lyon

13/09/2024: Regulars of this restaurant, we ordered pizzas for our evening. Missing pizza and another thrown in the box…and when we contacted them, the person kindly suggested that I “deal with it”. They lost 4 loyal customers.

19/08/2024: Small semi-gastronomic restaurant tested for our greatest pleasure. The waiters know their job and give very good advice. The dishes are visually successful, and the combinations of flavors explode in the mouth. All for a rather reasonable price. It will be flawless from start to finish.
