03/08/2026: We stumbled onto La Mère Cottivet at an awkward hour, when most places were closing up and we just wanted a light lunch. We were welcomed with open arms. The service was genuinely wonderful; they invited us to taste a few wines before we even chose what to order, which set the tone for the whole meal. I had the La Merière aux fromages, a cheese plate that was fantastic, and my husband loved his steak tartare. We couldn't resist finishing with both a crème brûlée and ice cream with liqueur, no regrets. The space itself is quiet and eclectically decorated, with a wonderfully witty name to match its personality. My husband speaks French but I don't, and I never once felt uncomfortable or out of place, just genuinely welcomed. We'll absolutely be back, and I'd recommend this spot to anyone visiting Lyon.

We met the wonderful duo Clément and Marie, who gave us a warm welcome, offered helpful advice, and made us feel like right at home. In addition to their original and high-quality cocktails—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic—they are always incredibly attentive! When we visited the website on August 5, we learned that you are on annual leave, yet we received no notification from you! This is very regrettable, especially since we were only two days away from arriving in Lyon. This has never happened to us before, and it shows a lack of respect on your part.

14/08/2026: We had a wonderful time at Le Fav! It felt like we were on holiday in Lyon! The sommelier and the waitstaff were very welcoming and offered excellent advice. We had a truffle croque monsieur and a filet mignon, which were a delight for our taste buds, paired with a blonde beer with a twist of lime. We'll be back to enjoy another Chartreuse! See you soon!

12/08/2026: Pleasantly surprised. I've always been apprehensive about eating Lyonnaise cuisine because I know there's quite a bit of offal involved. But in the end, I chose the cheapest set menu, and it was fine... the andouillette sausage was a bit cloying at one point, but still tasty. On the other hand, the plum "tart" wasn't anything special in terms of taste, and the presentation could be improved. Quick update August 2026: I went there 10 days ago in the evening. There were about ten of us, and I ordered the octopus with chorizo ​​sauce (the combination wasn't my favorite), but I went along with the group and ended up being pleasantly surprised—it was absolutely delicious. For dessert, I had a caramelized apricot panna cotta: a delight! Special mention to the waiter, who was smiling and very professional, which I find rare in Lyonnaise restaurants. Well done, young man! We'll be back.

05/08/2026: Parking is difficult in the evening; if needed, there's the Brotteaux parking lot 400m away. Easy to park on a Sunday at lunchtime. A very nice experience. Reservation made in advance through The Fork. Nice decor. Everything is very good. The chicken skewer was exceptional, and the seaweed was a nice touch. €26 for adults in the evening and €14 for children, excluding drinks.

29/07/2026: Located in Old Lyon, this restaurant offers excellent service. The portions are generous, but we were aware of that beforehand. The price is very reasonable. The hot dishes were very good, but the salads were less impressive, which was a shame.

25/07/2026: We ate here with friends while traveling to the area for a business conference, and it was a good experience overall. The restaurant is well decorated and located in a touristy part of Vieux Lyon. The food was okay. Over the course of the two weeks I spent in Lyon, I ate at a few bouchons, and I didn't think the food here quite measured up to some of the others, but it was still enjoyable for what it was. It's a great location to sit outside, watch people pass by, and have a decent meal. The servers were lovely and engaging. As I mentioned, the location and atmosphere were probably the highlights of the experience.

05/06/2026: Excellent tacos and kebabs in Croix-Rousse, on a lovely shaded square, cool and quiet. The tacos and the galette were very good; the meat wasn't greasy, the vegetables were fresh, and the cheese sauce was light—very healthy. Highly recommended!

06/08/2026: This pub does GORGEOUS burgers and a FANTASTIC sauce selection… hands down one of the best burgers I’ve had. Thank you to the very sweet waitress who was friendly and polite. Inside is pretty dark and mysterious, and on a busy night I can imagine it to be a very lively place, but when I went with my friends at 5pm ish, we were the only ones. Merci beaucoup 🍔🍟

15/06/2026: I booked the venue for a birthday party. From the first contact, you can tell they're a very friendly and helpful team. They made sure everything went smoothly, from the platters and drinks to the service. We had a memorable evening that ended right on time with the DJ and a fantastic atmosphere. I highly recommend them.
