07/02/2026: A Lyon institution that has clearly regained its former glory since the change of ownership. Everything is excellent: the welcome, the service, and the cuisine. The dishes are flavorful and perfectly executed, with a special mention for the risotto, which is simply exceptional. The service is professional, warm, and efficient. Another major plus: easy parking, which is a real plus. A must-visit in Lyon, highly recommended.

12/03/2026: I was drawn in by the cute sign while jogging by. It was lunchtime, and the place was packed. The menu had an English translation, and I wanted to try Lyon cuisine; the atmosphere was great. There were two set menus to choose from, or you could order à la carte. Watching the desserts being made, each one looked incredibly tempting, but unfortunately, I was too full and only chose the smallest portion.

12/03/2026: Great place, very friendly staff, excellent traditional dishes, really enjoyed it, definitely worth a visit. The bill for two with a bottle of wine came to about 100 euros. The dessert was a wonderful crème brûlée.

23/02/2026: An authentic experience in this traditional Lyonnais bistro that seems frozen in time. The dishes are uncompromising and bold, the flavors are intense, and it's truly satisfying. Highly recommended.

16/02/2026: €28 for half a dry andouillette sausage that wasn't even cooked in the sauce. Over €20 for barely 100g of poorly cut flank steak. There are countless bouchons in Lyon, and I don't understand at all how this one has been successful. A tourist trap in all its glory.

01/03/2026: Impossibly small, with an almost camouflaged doorway, this is probably my favourite bouchon in Lyon. The menu is just as compact as the space but the owners will keep everything flowing with good humour and excellent, anticipatory service. A starter of snails in a garlic cream sauce is rich and savoury, while their salade Lyonnaise comes laden with lardons and a wobbly poached egg. Move on to perfectly grilled bavette or - if you dare - tablier de sapeur with sauce gribiche, a square of honeycomb tripe crumbed and fried, created a wonderful texture well complimented by the tangy vinegar-rich sauce. Desserts are homely and include a wonderful creme caramel and chocolate mousse cake, but I was less enthused about their massive (and dry) baba au rhum. I can't wait to get back here.

The hygiene, beauty, and cleanliness of the premises were also exemplary. The ambiance is elegant, warm, and perfectly maintained; I highly recommend it. We will gladly return.

15/03/2026: A disappointing start to the evening. How long had the dishes been ready? The parsley was yellowing, and the squid was more than just roasted. Although the evening was disappointing, the staff remained friendly and visibly annoyed by what had happened.

15/03/2026: Quick quiz: when was this salad prepared? This morning? This afternoon? This evening or yesterday?... The cannelloni, on the other hand, were tasteless, dry on top (or the knife wasn't sharp enough) and undercooked underneath. They were definitely prepared in advance. How many times they were reheated before being served, I couldn't say (and that presentation!!! Far from appetizing)... In short, avoid this place. Lyon is the capital of gastronomy. That word means nothing in this establishment, and it's easy to understand why, unlike other restaurants where it's difficult to find a table, this one is practically empty. The overall experience was truly disappointing, but I must point out that the servers remained friendly. The problem lies in the kitchen...
