28/07/2026: The wine list is excellent, but unfortunately, that's the only positive point. The cuisine aims for ambition but proves disappointing: the tapas are small, tasteless, and overpriced. The service was disorganized; we waited several minutes for cutlery before we could even start eating, and were then moved to another table. Overall, a disappointing experience that doesn't justify the prices.

29/07/2026: The atmosphere, the welcome, and the food were all excellent. The managers are friendly and very pleasant. The staff are very professional and smiling. I highly recommend it; you can eat well there at a very good price.

16/07/2026: Dining at Re-Confort was simply marvellous. We had the dish of the day: fried aubergines à la Bolognese, served with courgettes sliced as thin as tagliatelle and dressed with a lemon vinaigrette. Highly recommended!

01/06/2026: I highly recommend this cabaret restaurant! The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and very accommodating. The experience was perfect from start to finish: the meal was generous and high-quality, and the show was absolutely fantastic. The magician and the comedian Babass were incredible and greatly contributed to the atmosphere. We were there for a bachelorette party, and the entire team tailored the performance to the event, making the evening even more memorable. A huge thank you to the whole team for this wonderful experience; we left with our heads full of memories!

25/07/2026: A friendly and pleasant place. The decor is unique and much appreciated. The servers are lovely and attentive to any problems (especially for women). Perfect for dancing, with a well-curated and varied playlist. Don't expect to find a seat, as there are few stools at the bar. However, Barberousse is a dance bar, so this isn't a major issue.

24/07/2026: Reservation made Friday, July 17th at 7:10 PM for two at 8:30 PM. No problem, a friendly welcome on the phone, the evening was looking promising. However, there was a problem with public transport on the way (the tram was stopped). I left a voicemail (using the restaurant's phone number listed on Google and the one I had used to make the reservation) and then a text message to let them know we would be late (we finally arrived at 9 PM). At that point, the welcome was completely different: no table available, no offer to serve us even later, no alternative suggestions to salvage our evening (our anniversary with my partner)... In short, while we were trying to find something, we ended up going to another restaurant at 9:30 PM, which somewhat redeemed the evening that had started so strangely. So, we didn't get the chance to try Malaysian cuisine. Later that evening, after we had eaten, we received a text message from the establishment apologizing: a nice gesture, but we don't want to come back.

20/07/2026: I cannot understand why only two people are working when it is this busy on the weekend. We waited 25 minutes to place our order, and another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. The server was serving, taking orders, cleaning, clearing tables, and handling payments... working non-stop without a moment to catch their breath. The lemon chicken my friend ate was terrible. It seems like additional staff are absolutely necessary.

We started with some classic Lyonnais starters: the local Rosette de Lyon cured sausage served with butter and cornichons, along with a refreshing bowl of Velouté menthe-petits pois (chilled pea and mint soup) and a rich, creamy Cervelle de Canut (a traditional Lyonnais seasoned cheese dip). Every single starter was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. For the main courses, we went with two classic French dishes: Tartare de Bœuf au couteau – Perfectly seasoned hand-cut beef tartare served with a generous portion of golden, crispy fries. Tête de veau sauce gribiche – Tender, beautifully prepared calf's head accompanied by steamed potatoes and a rich, savory gribiche sauce. Absolutely authentic and full of depth!
