26/07/2026: A proper old school Lyonaisse Bouchon. No outside seating, not a tourist trap, the menu says if you’re in a hurry you’re in the wrong place. Family place with old photos on the wall - a small menu of classic local dishes - some strong dishes of tripe and pigs feet for the brave. Loved it here.

07/05/2026: A first for us: plate service by conveyor belt. The food served is very good, the kebabs and meatballs particularly delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and exotic. A great place to go, especially with hungry teenagers 😎

24/03/2026: As an occasional customer of this neighborhood restaurant, I was very disappointed today. The wait between courses was far too long. I had to keep asking the waitress for my main course. She was deep in conversation with an Italian tourist who had just sat down next to me and completely ignored me. My dish finally arrived along with the one meant for the Italian, even though it had arrived more than half an hour after mine. She served me with an ironic, "I hadn't forgotten you." What can I say? She continued chatting with this Milanese customer, giving him a tour of Lyon, pacing back and forth while completely ignoring me. I was hoping to order dessert, but my gestures, both with my eyes and my hand, went unanswered. Disheartened, I got up to pay at the register. I didn't hesitate to express my disappointment with the service to the second waitress (who was much more charming, by the way). Le patron toujours fidèle à lui-même est bien sympathique, mais vraisemblablement ne se doute pas qu'en salle c'est une vraie cacophonie. Bref franchement même si vous n'êtes pas contraint par le temps, vous allez devoir prendre votre mal en patience. Ou alors faites-vous passer pour un transalpin, ça ira beaucoup plus vite. À bon entendeur...

10/08/2026: The portions are generous and the food is excellent, the meat is homemade, the staff is fantastic, and the place is clean and well-located. We've been several times and the food is always great, with a wonderful welcome every time. I recommend it 100%!

23/07/2026: We happened to come across it on our way to the train station. We had a delicious breakfast before leaving Lyon. The owner is a very energetic and friendly person.

09/08/2026: The (Indian) food was good, but the cleanliness left much to be desired: the table hadn't been washed or even dusted, the cutlery and glasses were dirty, and we had to use our napkins to wipe them. We didn't get sick, but it wasn't very reassuring! Otherwise, the atmosphere was a bit strange; the room echoed, a fan was very noisy, and there was only one large table besides a table for four.

04/08/2026: I was extremely disappointed with my Indian dish (it looked more like an Asian dish) which was advertised as shredded chicken + an extra cheese crepe, but in the end I got a dish that seemed like a duplicate of the crepe, but I didn't find any chicken! So, very expensive (€17) for what it was, and very greasy; my stomach was upset that evening! My colleague got a "real dish" + the cheese crepe and a lassi for less money, and I don't understand this difference when I paid so much more!

11/03/2026: Exceptional! The pizzas are already very good for a reasonable price: €12 for the four-cheese pizza and €12 for the vegetarian one. The service was great: one of the ingredients was unavailable, so for the vegetarian pizza (late in the day), the chef offered to create a custom pizza, suggesting even more ingredients (without raising the price). That was pretty cool! Once there: friendly atmosphere, pleasant conversation. Lots of little touches to make people feel comfortable: games to play while you wait, a guestbook where you can look at lots of drawings and even create your own, etc. No delays: 10 minutes between ordering by phone and picking up the pizza, exactly on time. A place you want to go back to even when you're not hungry.

08/08/2026: Delighted with our lunch at La Meunière! We received a very warm welcome from a very friendly waiter with a great sense of humor. We immediately felt at ease (despite a somewhat disastrous starter 😬🙄) and the air conditioning allowed us to cool down and enjoy our meal even more (I wanted to mention this because we didn't know it was there, and it was a real bonus 😉). From the starter to the dessert, the dishes were delicious. I highly recommend this place. The photos of the dishes speak for themselves. The Lyonnaise specialties are truly magnificent 😋😋 and the portions are more than generous.

02/08/2026: A magnificent and authentic Lyonnais bouchon. The atmosphere is warm and inviting without ever feeling cliché. The welcome and service are exceptionally pleasant and efficient. The dishes are truly hearty, homemade recipes that celebrate the art of cooking in-house—simply delicious! We particularly loved the homemade terrine, the snails, the perfectly prepared kidneys (cooked to a perfect pink), the steak tartare, and the floating island dessert. We will gladly return on our next visit to Lyon.

18/07/2026: Thank you to the shop on Rue de Brest, who went to the trouble of delivering a Pralus for my daughter's birthday. She's a manager at Héros, Seven. Everything was perfect.

16/08/2026: The welcome was abysmal. We were sent without explanation to the cellar, which also served as a broom closet. Tables weren't cleared, and the service was extremely basic despite the best efforts of the single waiter who was working alone in the dining room, behind the bar, and constantly running back and forth to the upstairs area. The pâté en croûte was bland, the beef fillet au Marcelin was mediocre and, to top it off, served lukewarm. Very disappointing, especially considering I've frequented several authentic bouchons in Lyon. Not recommended!
