02/08/2024: I returned to brunch in this restaurant after a really pleasant first experience, which motivated me to come back. However, this time, the experience unfortunately did not live up to my expectations. First of all, although we booked for 1:15 p.m., we had to wait outside for 10-15 minutes, as did other people. Once seated, we had to ask a waiter to bring us a menu or to explain to us how the brunch worked, which should have been done on initiative, especially for those who might be there for the first time. As for the buffet, it was much smaller and of lower quality than during my first visit. When we arrived, Nutella and red fruit jam were missing, and we were informed that there would be no more. This is unacceptable, especially at this price, which has also increased since our last visit. It would have been easy to go and buy these basic products, which are neither bulky nor perishable in the short term. The quantity of plates has also decreased. I noticed that the toasts with scrambled eggs were huge on other customers' plates, but on mine, I struggled to find the egg, probably a leftover preparation. Regarding the server team, with the exception of one person, they all seemed in a bad mood or generally unfriendly. I regret this development in such a short time. I was delighted during my first visit, but very disappointed during the second. Unfortunately, this disappointment fully justifies my rating.

28/07/2024: We arrived and the restaurant was closed!!!! I booked 1 month ago. What a desappointment.

09/02/2026: I was here in 2022 during my visit to Lyon. After leaving the cathedral, I walked through this area and arrived at this square, called Pl. du Gouvernementvi. I went to this restaurant-café and had a drink. It's a very pleasant place, in this small square surrounded by beautiful buildings. The coffee is very good, it's quiet when you're there, and the service is excellent. I really enjoyed sitting there and taking in the view.

04/12/2024: Amazing! Lovely long dinner. Food was so rich and tasty - great for a cold evening in Lyon. We had lot a of pork - beautifully rich and salty. The younger male waiter was amazing. One of the best services (in english) we have had in france. Best meal we’ve had in a really long time!!

24/11/2024: Très convivial. Un vrai bouchon lyonnais. Une cuisine de qualité dans un quartier très touristique et agréable. Très bien.

15/12/2024: Grosse découverte !!! Super prise en charge du staff pour un atelier cocktail ! Un shaker offert à la clef ! Le restaurant / bar est super bien décoré, un vrai petit nid Crazy douillet.

06/12/2024: Super bar et restaurant. Le personnel est adorable et très sympas ! Ils proposent des cours pour faire des cocktails 4 fois par semaine, c’est vraiment une super activité ! N’hésitez pas, je n’ai rien à redire dessus !!

09/11/2024: Soirée improvisée en amoureux sans réservation un vendredi soir! Accueil et service parfait! Les plats étaient excellent et le chef très sympa. Nous recommandons et nous reviendrons avec plaisir Bonne continuation

28/10/2024: Oserais je écrire que tout est parfait ? Oui, j'ose :-) Accueil et service attentionné avec beaucoup d'humour et toujours le sourire. Cuisine très originale et excellente. Vin de très bonne qualité. On reviendra !!!

24/08/2024: We had a fantastic meal at L'Epicerie de Ginette. The carpaccio tartine was absolutely delicious. The service was warm and friendly, which meant a lot in our first night in Lyon. The wine selection is vast, and you could easily sit and eat and drink happily at this place for a long time. When we come back to Lyon, I will make sure to come back here.

07/08/2024: Difficile de choisir dans ce dédale de rues avec tous ces restaurants et toutes ces terrasses. Beaucoup sont de bouchons et certaines adresses cotées sur TripAdvisor sont fermées ce mois d août. Petite adresse sympa sans plus dans ruelle . Au menu toutes sortes de tartines agrémentées de légumes, viandes ou poissons au choix avec un petit rosé bien frais et une addition pas trop salée et digeste. Service sans trop d attention pour le client.

28/08/2024: Delicious brioches, well located shop. The salespeople were not very friendly but the service was fast.

22/12/2023: Le vigile ne nous laisse pas rentrer alors qu’on avait payé les pré-ventes et en plus prix du vestiaire ! Soirée à plus de 30€ sans avoir pu y rentrer ! À éviter vraiment tracez votre route ! Il y a des boites bien mieux ! Habitant à Lyon depuis 5 ans je suis bien déçue.

04/02/2026: This is a hotel I'd wanted to try for a long time, after staying at Villa Maia and Boscolo. Access by car isn't necessarily the most convenient: you park on the quayside and then have to cross cobblestone streets that make pushing the stroller with our daughter a bit bumpy. When we booked the day before, we had some issues with the online payment system, which was glitching, but we were assured by phone that the room was indeed reserved. Upon arrival, the reservation wasn't showing up, but the staff was very responsive and quickly found us a room perfectly suited for a stay with a baby. A travel cot was brought to us shortly after we settled in. We enjoyed the spa in the late evening: the pool was very pleasant and peaceful, and we also enjoyed a very relaxing visit to the sauna. Since two drinks were offered at the bar, we took advantage of them. Even though the planter's punch wasn't on the menu, Tanya didn't hesitate to make us several, which really contributed to the quality of the evening. We ordered snacks to go with our drinks: a charcuterie board, salmon, and a croque-monsieur, all quite good, with a special mention for the cream sauce that accompanied the salmon. The room was comfortable, and we had a very restful night. In the morning, we had breakfast in the courtyard in the center of the hotel: it felt like being outside while still being inside, in a truly lovely setting. The continental buffet was quite comprehensive (breads, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, fruit juices), and the eggs Benedict were rather good. Before leaving, we made a quick stop at the gift shop in search of a Guignol puppet… we ended up leaving with the hotel's lion, which we named Léon 😊 A very pleasant experience, despite a few minor hiccups quickly resolved by attentive and efficient staff.

27/01/2026: The hotel is a beautifully renovated place, incredible bar, restaurant area, great historic common spaces! Abundant breakfast, nicely decorated rooms. You might get issues reaching the hotel because it is situated in a pedestrian area - so don’t forget to call before you arrive to get a password for entering.

05/09/2024: The bouncer didn't let us in because I had a glass of water in my hand. I could have left it aside unfortunately it cheated us for no reason. I took this as a sign of denial even though I was trying to arrive as clean as possible at his establishment. After several attempts at explanations he simply told me that it was cultural and automatic on his part and that we would not fit in all cases?? . He closed the door in our faces several times, of course he was doing his job but when it came to providing an explanation simplicity was required, even when we expressed our wish to just discuss to understand his reaction without having the He hoped to return, he didn't answer us. Our evening in the city including the trip was ruined by this member of security, I really do not recommend this club, moreover having been there several times before, the drinks are as expensive as in a nightclub for a totally derisory service. A woman working in this club tried to make him listen to reason by telling him to let me in because I had done nothing wrong, but she was pushed by this gentleman 3 times with the response "but what is what you do, let me do my job"... I felt obligated to leave a comment given the situation.

18/08/2024: He closes when the bar is so shameful!!! Misogynistic near the boss himself! I have never seen such a scandalous bar, especially when the owner in no way respects the standards of politeness and respect in 2024! I advise against it! No atmosphere, sporty playlist, no DJ, misogynistic on the part of the boss who only thinks about banging women without listening to his customers! But get out of there and close as quickly as possible!

15/09/2024: CB 43 the fries and the mc flurry are missing, order and pay when I order. A refund would be normal An email will be sent because it is unusual to forget when there were 2 customers

26/09/2024: The salespeople are friendly, the cashiers less so…. And there’s a bit of a stuffy atmosphere…. But the quality of the products is completely up to the prices displayed.
