01/04/2026: I went there while the hotel was being renovated, and honestly, it would be a real shame to miss out if you're in the area. I had the set menu (main course, dessert, coffee), less than 20 euros for a generous portion served without rice or pasta. I eat at many hotel restaurants like this one, and I found it to be a cut above the rest, much better quality. The dessert was fresh and also very generous (pineapple carpaccio). The atmosphere was a bit cold in a sparsely decorated dining room, but the hotel is undergoing renovations, so please bear with me. The service was excellent, friendly, and efficient. The menu is very short, as the restaurant focuses on daily specials. I can only hope it's just as good every time. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to spot.

31/01/2026: A restaurant we love to visit for lunch, not only for a break from work but especially for the warm welcome, the relaxing atmosphere, their daily specials—always delicious, (very) generous portions, made with seasonal, market-fresh ingredients—all at an excellent price (daily special, dessert, and coffee for €15.90). Located within the hotel, the restaurant is lovely, bathed in natural light from the veranda. A special mention goes to the team: Manon (with her smile and sense of humor), Anaïs (friendly and discreet), and the Head Chef, whose mastery of cooking both meat and fish we serve deserves a special mention, as does the generous portion size. This place has become our go-to spot, and we're not exactly picky eaters (Manon can attest to that) ;))

13/06/2026: We came as part of the "your guest is mine" promotion. We ate well, and when we asked for a little more gratin, it was gladly provided. The service was impeccable.

Overall, the food was good and the experience was positive. However, the meats fell short of expectations. The cut didn't seem ideal, and the cooking point was overcooked, resulting in meat that should have been tender but ended up tough. Another aspect to highlight is the portions, which are quite generous. While this could be seen as an advantage, they seem excessive, resulting in considerable food waste. Perhaps slightly more balanced portions would be enough to maintain the quality of the experience and reduce waste. Overall, it's a good option for groups, but there are some details that could be improved.

11/06/2026: This is the restaurant where you can enjoy generous portions of excellent quality red meat, cooked to perfection by the kitchen staff. In addition, the restaurant itself has beautiful (and well-maintained) decor. And the waitstaff is incredibly attentive. Absolutely top-notch!

16/05/2026: Hello, peace be upon you, I have been ordering from you for 6 or 7 years now, and until now everything has always gone very well, especially with the owner and his children, who have always been respectful and professional. Unfortunately, during my last order, on Saturday evening, May 16th, I dealt with two employees, and the experience was very disappointing. I had ordered 9 pizzas, but there was a mistake in my order. I live 35 minutes from your establishment. When I called to report the error, I would have appreciated at least a reasonable and helpful solution: for example, coming back another day, like Monday, or a discount on a future order. Instead, I was clearly given an ultimatum: either I returned immediately with the pizza to exchange it, or there was no solution. Frankly, in the evening, a 35-minute drive away, I don't have time for that, nor do I have to make another hour-long trip for a mistake that wasn't mine. After 6 or 7 years of loyalty, I'm very disappointed with how this situation was handled. It's regrettable, because you've lost a loyal customer. It's truly a shame the owner wasn't there that evening. I sincerely hope he sees this message and takes action.

11/03/2026: Beware of this grocery store; they don't respect hygiene. Once, I bought bread and found it had already been opened and was missing a piece. They also take advantage of customers to overcharge if they're not careful. Avoid it.

04/01/2026: I had a package from the post office delivered to this pickup point, even though it wasn't where I'd requested it. What a nasty surprise! The service was appalling. The man with glasses was incredibly rude. He refused to give me my package, even though I had my partner's ID. Even his colleagues seemed exasperated with him and were practically telling him to stop making a fuss and just give me the package. He even started getting aggressive, so I decided to leave before things escalated. I absolutely do not recommend this place; it didn't make me want to try their food at all... If you're bothered by using a pickup point, don't.

06/06/2026: Excellent experience! Refined and generous pizzas, I highly recommend the remarkable one for pistachio lovers! The pizza makers were charming, their joie de vivre was a breath of fresh air in a friendly and warm atmosphere.

28/04/2026: A place I frequent for lunch: Le Lafayette, often with my family, and it's always a pleasure to return. The restaurant is quite small, so I recommend making a reservation. It has a very convivial atmosphere, somewhat reminiscent of a traditional Lyonnais bistro. The service is relaxed, sometimes a little informal, but always warm—you really feel at home. And when the owner is in the mood, he even sings along to French classics, which adds to the charm of the place 🎶 As for the food, it's difficult for me to judge the entire menu… because I always order the same thing 😄: the rare flank steak with shallot sauce, served on a large board with fries and salad. And it's incredible. The cooking is perfectly executed, the meat is tender, the sauce delicious… a real treat every time. It's generous, flavorful, and very well prepared. For meat lovers, it's definitely a place to know. My companions tried other dishes and were always very satisfied as well: you can taste the homemade quality, the fresh ingredients, and the food prepared to order. In short, an authentic, friendly, and generous place that I recommend without hesitation—and where I will continue to return with pleasure. ✨

03/02/2026: It all started with a birthday gift from the Confluence shopping center. I decided to try the Vapiano restaurant. What a treat! I received a very warm welcome (from the blue-eyed waiter); He didn't hesitate to suggest a different dish than the one I had chosen—kudos for his professionalism! The restaurant's atmosphere is superb, with great background music. I really want to thank him for his kind gesture at the end of my meal, which made the experience truly special. I highly recommend it!

01/02/2026: An extremely disappointing experience on every level. The food arrived barely lukewarm: undercooked pasta, bland, tasteless pizzas. There was no skill in the kitchen, and no enjoyment in eating. The service was incomprehensibly slow, especially since the restaurant requires ordering via QR code and payment before being served, ostensibly to save time. Given the poor quality of the meal, one wonders if this system isn't simply a way to avoid complaints or prevent customers from leaving without paying. Drinks are advertised as available on the app, but then suddenly become unavailable once the order is placed. For children, the syrup cups were sticky and served without any care. As for family-friendly options, it was a complete failure: all the tables were high, but the high chairs weren't the right height, making the meal uncomfortable and unsafe. And only three high chairs for a full restaurant speaks volumes about the consideration given to families. The desserts are just like everything else: tasteless, poorly executed, and underwhelming. To top it all off, the value for money is simply shameful considering the service offered. This establishment is poorly managed and disorganized, with no regard for quality or customer comfort. It's an address that charges a premium for a mediocre experience and is clearly not worth the trip.

23/04/2026: I had lunch today, April 23, 2026, with my friend. Once again, we appreciated the warm welcome, the cleanliness, the excellent service, and the meal. Our choice of salmon puff pastry with sorrel sauce was very good. We will gladly return very soon. We highly recommend this place... and the price is very reasonable for the quality and service. Thank you and congratulations to the whole team.

05/03/2026: A very warm and friendly welcome. A very pleasant time with my family. I'm happy to share this meal with my family, who aren't familiar with Maison Pignol. For us, it was delicious; they'll be back. As for me, I've been a loyal customer of all Pignol shops for over 35 years now. The place is very clean and very pleasant. It's very difficult to leave without trying a pastry, especially the lemon tart—it's the best tart in Lyon.

26/06/2026: Sadly I was forced to give at least one star! Asked for a glass of Chablis and was told, “You get that up north”, and was given two options to choose from. As a Scottish couple, we’ve had a warmer welcome from Boaby in the Clansman, not to mention a lovely glass of Chablis 800 miles north of Lyon. So glad we didn’t ask for a whisky! Slàinte mhath

26/03/2026: Standard food, neither good nor bad, it does the job for lunch (if you're not in a hurry...). However, the service and atmosphere of the restaurant were deplorable! The men there were all unfriendly. We won't be back!
