21/09/2024: To avoid... sea sauerkraut, a shame... Let's not talk about white butter, it only has the name... neither the smell nor the taste, I still wonder what it is was but for the butter was absent and as for the cabbage straight out of the bucket without going through the kitchen just reheat in the steam oven the same for the shrimps and mussels... filthy I couldn't eat it not even worthy of a low-end trucker, too bad when you have the name TAVERNE the setting is not everything it would be good to have a real chef in the kitchen...

27/01/2025: I love this place. Everything is excellent, from the starter appetizer to the little post-dessert touch, including the wine. A place like few others, where each customer is the center of attention from start to finish. This while remaining affordable since 2 menus are offered. Thank you for existing.

11/12/2024: I have been coming to this restaurant since my childhood with my grandmother, and the quality of the dishes and the service has never varied. The experience of a gourmet with quantity, and at very reasonable prices. Thank you again for these moments ❣️

31/08/2024: Cette station balnéaire populaire tient une adresse qui fait le grand écart. Prix contenus, clientèle familiale, ambiance joyeuse et carte élastique. Sans concession sur la qualité, on s'en lèche les doigts! Réservation indispensable, la brasserie est réputée.

30/08/2024: Très bien accueilli, le restaurant est très agréable et les tables sont montées avec soin. Le repas que nous avons choisi était de très grande qualité et copieux. Ça fait une dizaine d'années que nous venons passer nos vacances en Vendée et nous profitons pour manger régulièrement au restaurant et "Chez Bastien" était notre 1ère fois et vraiment très contente d'y être allé et nous reviendrons l'année prochaine. Les serveurs étaient très agréables et à nos soins, et à défaut de beaucoup de restaurants "Chez Bastien" ils prennent les tickets restaurants sans maximum 👍.

25/11/2024: We went there every year every time we passed through St Jean de Monts. This summer we were very disappointed. The smoke from the barbecue inside the restaurant really bothered us. So we asked to be seated outside. My burger did not have cheddar inside even though it was specified with cheddar on the menu. I didn't notice until I had eaten more than half so I didn't ask for another burger. But I mentioned it to the waitress, hoping for a commercial gesture, but she just told me that I should have asked for another one. Desserts are more expensive than before but much less generous. The ice creams are served in very tall but narrow and shallow bowls to give the illusion of a generous dessert. Lots of whipped cream, therefore lots of air, to “compensate” for the small portion of ice cream. In short, we were very disappointed. It was much better before!

25/08/2024: Weekend au puy du Fou Nous avons réservé dans cette établissement pour dîner après un accueil chaleureux nous avons dégusté de très bons plats. Un bon rapport qualité prix. Je recommande vivement. Le patron est très sympathique et sa femme également. Au plaisir de revenir..

21/09/2024: A lovely discovery that we regret not having known about before! Not many choices of dishes but they are so good, we were pleasantly surprised. And the quality of the dishes is equivalent to the quality of the service. Thanks also to the person present in the room, for this food/drink pairing (PS: the caramel smoothie delight at the end of the meal lives up to its name, it's a real delight) We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant and we will definitely come back. Without forgetting to recommend it to the people around us. Thank you all, and see you soon!

05/09/2024: Bonne expérience, pris menu à 26,90 - 2 menus différents très bon poisson bien servis. Déco moderne, et personnel très sympathique accueillant et souriant

29/08/2024: Une belle déception! Une entrée très banale, un foie gras en lui-même satisfaisant mais autour...du vide, une salade défraîchie et un accompagnement insipide, inutile;du pain toasté en micro quantité. Un plat famélique, quantité étonnamment faible en garniture (1 fraise confite et 3 toutes petites pomme de terre) ainsi qu'un magret à la cuisson manqué. La présentation du plat et de l'entrée vraiment mauvaise, en total décalage avec le dessert. Dessert qui lui était au niveau, très bon et présenté de belle façon. Habituellement bien reçu, nous nous sommes sentis poussé vers la sortie. L'addition fut plus généreuse que le repas.

23/09/2024: Superb place, very welcoming, with dishes with good fresh produce. Divine pizzas to die for, thin and superbly well garnished. I highly recommend this restaurant.

24/11/2024: Evelyne,pyrrhus et moi sommes partis passer un weekend à Noirmoutier avec comme Cap de Bonne Espérance: un déjeuner à la Marine. Merci Chef Alexandre Couillon de nous avoir concocté une promenade entre terre ciel et mer car un bout de soleil est tombé dans le creux de mon plat et j' ai voyagé tel le cancre du poème de Lenny Escudero .les poissons,les sauces, vos légumes du jardin,les vins m'ont conduit de port en port. Le fumé de certains plats me faisaient oublier les embruns matinaux de la plage J'ai rêvé jusqu'au café. Voici les amis les plats hélas juste pour vos yeux 😉.

02/11/2024: Adeptes de restaurants étoilés, nous nous faisions une joie de découvrir La Marine d’autant plus que l’important délai de réservation ( 6 mois ) conjugué à l’obtention récente d’une 3e étoile ainsi que des avis très majoritairement dithyrambiques nous laissaient penser que nous allions vivre un moment d’exception… Tout d’abord, la qualité de l’accueil est au top , à l’écoute et très serviable. Ensuite, première déception, nous pénétrons dans la salle du restaurant qui nous paraît de prime abord très austère, sans relation avec le duo marin et végétal mis en avant. La magie s’estompe… Ensuite, le service est irréprochable, un ballet très bien exécuté. Seconde déception : la cuisine . Même si la qualité des produits et la cuisson des poissons sont à la hauteur de nos attentes, nous aurions aimé un peu plus d’inventivité et de saveur plus marquées dans l’exécution des plats . Seule exceptions notable : le turbot . Au final, nous ressortons quelque peu désenchantés , cela mérite 1 étoile ,d’autant plus que nous venons de vivre une fabuleuse expérience chez le 3 étoiles de Pierre Gagnaire … Dommage…
