18/08/2026: Excellent food and very good service; the prices may seem high, but the food is excellent and quality is worth it. Dining in the traditional thatched cottage is a real bonus. A minor drawback is the chairs, which are very old and worn, as after an hour your back starts to ache 😉

01/07/2026: Really disappointed. I came to order on June 29th at 7:46 PM. I ordered a tasty crispy burger, a steak bowl, and a kids' meal. The wait was very long… once I got my order, I left quickly and didn't check because, given what I ordered, I didn't think there might be a mistake… well, there was! When I got home, there were no fries from the kids' meal… and since you don't answer the phone, it was impossible to let you know… I'm giving 3 stars because the food was good, but frankly, it's not cool because when you charge us at the register, you don't make a mistake on the price.

04/06/2026: I ordered tasty crispy and it was really, really, really good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

25/07/2026: Very disappointed... the children's menus aren't suitable. I had to order an adult burger for a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old, which meant separate drinks and desserts. The frozen fries weren't great for a restaurant. The fish was very good. However, a tiny baby potato cut in half as a side dish was really meager. We left feeling unsatisfied. We mentioned this to the waiter (who was very nice) but received no response, which is a shame.

24/07/2026: The mussels and fries with Roquefort sauce are good (get them when they're in season), and the Bounty bar is good too. The service is good, and everything else is too. I recommend it.

15/08/2026: Restaurant on a quiet street just steps from the bustling port area. Everything is homemade, delicious, and beautifully presented. From cocktails (Virgin Mojito and Colada) to appetizers (sardine rillettes, hummus) and main courses (mussels and fries 😋, vegetarian burger). Fast and attentive service. Highly recommended.

19/08/2026: Disappointed compared to my previous experiences, the price didn't meet expectations and the Paris-Brest was very disappointing, with praline pastry cream or cut cream instead of buttercream. The staff and service, however, were very welcoming and the atmosphere was pleasant.

18/08/2026: We came to lunch at Le Casier restaurant in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and were looking forward to discovering this establishment. We started by ordering fried smelts with our aperitif. Have you ever opened a box of matches? Well, our smelts were barely bigger than the matches in the box… At €8.90, we ate them with a certain amount of regret. A few minutes later, another customer at a neighboring table also ordered fried smelts. His were a perfectly "standard" size. I expressed my surprise to the waiter, who initially explained that ours were small because they were "leftovers" and that he had served them to us without knowing their size. In a fish restaurant, the explanation was somewhat perplexing… He nevertheless offered to bring us more, which we refused: we hadn't come to the restaurant just to eat fried smelt. Another waiter then came to clear our table and asked if everything was alright. I again expressed my disappointment. A new explanation: the larger smelts were supposedly saltier, and they therefore avoided serving them… An explanation all the more surprising since the other tables that had ordered this dish seemed to have received normal-sized smelt. In short, the rest of the meal went well, even though this whole affair left a bad taste in our mouths. Before leaving, I went to the till to see if there was anything left to pay. The person who seemed to be the owner finally admitted that the fried smelt should never have left the kitchen. This is probably the explanation that seems the most honest to us, even though none of them were ultimately honest since we received three different versions... We also had trouble digesting the smelt, which obviously didn't improve our impression. We're not giving it one star because the rest of the meal was decent, but it's impossible for us to give four or five stars after such an experience. A word of advice to future customers: if your smelt seems unusually small, don't hesitate to mention it and have them sent back to the kitchen.

25/08/2026: We came with beers and pizzas. The beers weren't cheap, but that's to be expected in a board game bar. However, the pizzas were really bad; they must have been frozen. The game selection is great, though—it's a big place, etc.—but you have to plan your order carefully to keep it reasonable, I think. I don't know, I have mixed feelings. I guess we weren't the target audience.

23/08/2026: Perfect! A lovely place with plenty of space, lots of games, and not too expensive! Great atmosphere and a very warm welcome! I'll definitely be back because it was fantastic!

29/08/2026: It was a truly delightful experience, the food was excellent, and for a table of 14 booked at the last minute, the service was simply perfect. Thank you to Mémé Gaelle, as well as the waitress and the cooks (and all the staff we didn't see) for this delicious meal. I highly recommend it, without hesitation and sincerely! PS: A rating that reflects the quality of the food.

05/09/2026: A lovely time by the sea. Thai tart was fine. Mussels with Roquefort cheese were fine. But the gravlax recipe needs a serious overhaul.
