Hippopotamus Troyes

Troyes
28/01/2026: Lunch between noon and 2 p.m. The fish in the fish and chips was very undercooked. The fries were dry and tasteless. The dessert, however, was good. What a shame...
27/01/2026: Very disappointed with the quality! The piece of meat offered (on special offer) was tough and full of gristle. The ribs were good but just undercooked. The tiramisu was very good.

Quick Hamburger Restaurant

Barberey-Saint-Sulpice
02/02/2026: I'm extremely disappointed; this isn't the first time I've had cold burgers. I don't dare complain at the counter, but next time I will. If nothing changes, I'll switch to Burger King.
01/02/2026: Ordered at the drive-thru with an almost impossible-to-talk-to attendant, resulting in having to change the entire order at the time of payment. We left rather quickly because the cars behind us were starting to get impatient. We got home and found no fries, a cold burger, and tough pieces in the patties.

Creperie Le Moulin de la Chapelle

Villenauxe-La-Grande
21/08/2024: I don't recommend this creperie to anyone, it's not good!!!!!! As soon as we arrived we had to move the car without knowing where to put it. the stale aperitif bread, the butcher's meat not good. the banana split, rotten banana, ice cream not in a ball but liquid.... in short 60 euros for at final having undergone a meal.
18/08/2024: Nice place and well-filled pancakes. I highly recommend.

Restaurant de l'Alhambra

Troyes
13/11/2025: A customer for over 50 years, it's still just as good. I stop by whenever I'm in Troyes. The atmosphere has remained stylish, perhaps less convivial than in the very beginning when we were crammed together like sardines around a large central table. But the spirit of kindness is still there.
26/10/2025: We came today, very warm welcome, excellent royal couscous, delicious mint tea. Impeccable service......

It's delicious and the location is pleasant. We recommend it without hesitation. Remember to make a reservation; it's safer.

Le A / Au Coeur des Bulles

Loches-Sur-Ource
20/06/2025: Disappointing because we can't enjoy the service we paid for!! We have six months from the purchase of the massage voucher to make an appointment. We called on the last day of the voucher's "validity," and the masseuse refused to take us, claiming she had appointments until August! It's very, very disappointing and unprofessional to react like this. A €60 massage without being able to enjoy the service!! I think there are other masseuses who are much more honest and professional.
26/05/2025: Superb service! I recommend her 100%. The welcome was warm, and she was super kind and gentle. Thank you so much for the beautiful work on my nails.

Le Moulin du Landion

Dolancourt
22/01/2026: WHEN UNSANITARY CONDITIONS BECOME AN ACCEPTED POLICY! Hello, I am writing to you after reading your message to my partner, who is the author of the first comment. I am only now seeing your response, and I must say it is as appalling as it is revealing of your approach to handling problems. To claim that "despite appearances, the mattresses are treated" is simply indecent. A mattress with so many visible, ingrained, and old stains is unfit for occupancy, treatment or not. I worked in the hotel industry for several years, and I can state this unequivocally: a mattress in this condition must be immediately removed and replaced, not hidden under protective coverings (which are just as repulsive, by the way!). The presence of a mattress protector or sheets laundered by a service provider does nothing to erase the filth underneath. The photo taken in the room is factual, objective, and speaks for itself. It completely contradicts your attempt to downplay the situation. Regarding the staff, your denial is false. The receptionist and the housekeeper present in the room readily acknowledged the unacceptable condition of the mattress, indicated that they themselves would not sleep there, and specified that the room would be closed to show the bedding to the owners. These statements were made in our presence, and I stand by them entirely. To implicitly accuse my wife of lying when you have the photos right in front of you and both rooms clearly had unsanitary bedding is, to say the least, laughable. Any reasonable person will realize in a few seconds, simply by looking at the photo, that the condition of the mattress is incompatible with hotel use (3 stars!). Your accusation of "blackmail through reviews" is particularly inappropriate. Refusing to pay for a room when the bedding is clearly soiled is a matter of basic common sense and fundamental consumer rights, not blackmail. This accusation is unfounded and serves only to divert attention from the real problem. The manager was contacted by phone in our presence by your colleague at reception, a very professional person, who showed absolutely no interest in the situation. We were promised a callback. It never happened. Your response perfectly illustrates what we observed on site: a systematic refusal to take responsibility, a minimization of the facts, and an attempt to discredit customers rather than address an obvious health issue. The facts are real, documented, and photographed. The DGCCRF (French Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control) has now been notified and is in possession of all the relevant information, and will be able to objectively assess the compliance of your practices. I leave it to you to respond to the appropriate authorities. Sincerely,
19/01/2026: AVOID AT ALL COSTS: A HOTEL OF FILTH AND CUSTOMER DISRESPECT We came to Le Moulin du Landion thanks to a gift from our parents, hoping for a quiet and pleasant stay. On paper, everything looked appealing: a 3-star hotel, a spa, a peaceful setting. In reality, it was all smoke and mirrors. To help the chambermaid, I removed the bedsheets. Big mistake. The mattress topper was completely stained, filthy, repulsive. I then lifted the topper to see the state of the mattress itself: an absolute horror. Honestly, I wouldn't even let a dog sleep on it. I almost threw up. It's disgraceful, shameful, and unacceptable. I went immediately to reception. The woman, friendly but visibly embarrassed, followed me to the room. The cleaning lady was there. Both women confirmed that it was a disgrace, that they themselves would never sleep in such filth, and informed me that the room would be "closed until the owners arrive to show them." The worst part? Management is fully aware of the situation. Numerous complaints have already been made. Nothing has been rectified. So it's a deliberate choice: making guests sleep in dirty beds while still taking their money. A complete lack of respect. At reception, I was told that it was obvious they couldn't charge me for a room in this state. The concrete result? The spa was "offered"... but the room was still charged, even though we slept in filth. My parents, who were also there, discovered the same state of the mattress in their room. Same scenario: free spa, wasted Wonderbox voucher, and a night spent in a veritable garbage dump. The manager was called in right in front of us. He couldn't care less. No real gesture of goodwill, no serious apology from management, no follow-up whatsoever. I was promised a callback to discuss it. I was never contacted. I left this establishment disgusted and sickened, as much by the unsanitary conditions of the rooms as by the deplorable attitude of management. This hotel deserves neither its stars, nor its prices, nor its misleading advertising. I will do everything I can to share this experience so that other customers are not misled by beautiful photos that hide a sordid reality. Sleeping in filth is not a minor detail: it is a serious offense. A complaint has just been filed with the DGCCRF (French Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control). Shame on you.
