20/07/2026: When I was trying to eat McDonald's peacefully with friends after a hearing at the police station, I was trying to unwind and end the day on a high note when suddenly a colony of bees decided to perform a ritual around me and then decided to swim in my ice cream. The ice cream, which I had to pay for, couldn't be digested by my stomach. So I'm going to have to file a complaint for ice cream theft.

28/07/2026: A very pleasant place. Welcoming and genuinely impartial, the staff take the time to get to know you, at least a little. A diverse selection of drinks, primarily wine, and platters featuring high-quality products. The possibility of expanding your wine cellar with expert advice. A relaxed yet refined atmosphere, where you feel valued. A big thank you. In my humble opinion, it's rare to find a place in Bordeaux that combines these aspects, not just a purely commercial one.
15/05/2026: A fantastic evening! Incredibly high-quality wines, a very kind and helpful bartender, and the owner was simply fabulous—generous, sociable, and accommodating.
We had a wonderful and enjoyable evening, and I highly recommend this excellent bar.

14/06/2026: Best of luck to the girl at the counter who was spoken to like she was nothing by two customers who couldn't figure out whether to order takeout or eat in. In any case, she was very pleasant and always smiling.

Yes, I know you should always check your order in the bag... but I only ordered one Happy Meal and six nuggets. Huge frustration! I paid for two Chinese sauces, which are the bare minimum, with my nuggets and fries. Well, no. My sauces aren't there... plus my yogurt drink has a hole in the plastic... straight to the bin. It's a shame they couldn't even fulfill a three-item order for such a small amount.

05/09/2026: Had a really great meal here when on holiday with my family, they have a beautiful courtyard out the back. Not a cheap restaurant but the food was lovely and lots of choice to suit everyone. Would recommend booking as it seems to get very busy (understandably!)
30/08/2026: The restaurant is superbly located and the food is brilliant too and portions are huge. Both the soup and lamb were delicious.
The outdoor setup is also fantastic.
Only regret I have is the bottle of wine suggested did not match my taste and I had to leave the half empty.

24/09/2026: Having been to the F&R in Paris several times over the years I was excited to see the Bordeaux pub in the same street we were staying.
Always good, the local craft beers were great, staff awesome and good pub food. Hopefully I can sneak back before we leave.

23/09/2026: I don't usually leave bad reviews, but the staff is awful, aggressive, and prone to assaults and threats. One of the bouncers was violent; he assaulted me in public and used pepper spray. I will file a complaint the next time I'm assaulted.
Not all pubs are created equal, and the Chartrons district deserves better than this.
