14/02/2026: Fantastic, wonderful. We went on our first night in Aix last Friday and found a table without any problems. Unfortunately, we didn't have the same luck the next night, but we'll definitely be back in May. A must-visit for vegetarians and vegans everywhere. We had, without a doubt, the best leek tart ever, and a truly delicious veggie burger with potatoes. The creamy appetizer soup was also excellent. The guy who does a great job all by himself was really kind; despite this, the waits aren't too long. Really excellent prices.

03/04/2026: A dark and dreary location in a deserted alley in Aix-en-Provence. We were misled by reviews referring to previous owners, if not other establishments with similar names. The food was poor quality, something even an excellent chef (and that wasn't the case). We should have known right away: the place was empty (us and a German couple). The service was good, as the waiter was very friendly, but he couldn't save the food. I forgot: there are no outdoor tables and no terrace (the reviews that mention it must refer to some other establishment).

17/01/2026: Excellent Creole restaurant with delicious dishes from Réunion Island 🇷🇪. Come and discover the samosas, chili fritters, cod fritters, and the must-try sausage rougail, all homemade—a real treat! Your taste buds will be thrilled to discover all these flavors. I'll definitely be back, and you can go with your eyes closed. A little piece of Réunion Island in Aix!

01/04/2026: A very good experience at Le Chastel in Aix. I went with my partner and we had a wonderful meal. The dishes were generous and truly delicious, with substantial portions. The service was perfect: attentive, efficient, and very pleasant from start to finish. An excellent choice! 👍🏻

10/04/2026: I don't usually leave reviews, but I just had to leave one for this restaurant. I ordered a mezze platter to go. Honestly, it was perfect, in terms of taste, variety, and quantity. The service was extremely fast and the staff very pleasant. I highly recommend it!

29/03/2026: Spent two nights here as part of a Viking tour. Was not impressed with the quality of the dinner meal but the breakfast was overwhelming The rooms are newly decorated quite contemporary and there are views of the surrounding streets. Takes some time to figure out the lighting and the major option is no lights on at bedtime. They had problems using my credit card that they blamed on the machine but the next morning the machine still would not accept my card that had been used during our entire trip. Luckily my wife had her card that worked.

28/03/2026: A beautifully renovated hotel right in the city center, close to public transport, and a caring and attentive staff. I had a very pleasant stay.

21/03/2026: I had the spaghetti bolognese, which was very good; it reminded me of my nona's cooking—true Italian cuisine. Be warned, the portions are very generous; only those with a hearty appetite can afford to order the appetizers. It was an evening meal with colleagues, and everyone was delighted. A great place to eat. The only downsides are the uninspired desserts and the somewhat dated decor, but hey, you go for the food 😋, not the ambiance.

28/02/2026: Sorry to disagree with some of the reviews, but while the window display is appealing, the rest is less so: the service systematically pushes you towards the most expensive items, the Italian charcuterie platter (€21, no less!) is a mountain of salad with very little meat (just placed on top, what a strange idea!), and the same goes for the Caprese salad (in Italy, there's no lettuce, lol). The pasta is just okay. Given the overall impression, I didn't try the desserts. In short, I wasn't convinced. A shame.

28/02/2026: What a wonderful discovery just 10 minutes from home! Everything was perfect from start to finish! The service was excellent and quick, the food exceptional (especially the almond and prune tagine), the hygiene impeccable (even the restrooms, which is rare!), and the passionate couple who took the time to explain cooking techniques and traditions... we'll definitely be back and highly recommend it! 🥰
