28/07/2026: The Regards de Provence Museum is housed in the former Maritime Health Station, built in 1948 by architects Fernand Pouillon, André Champollion, and René Egger. At that time, Marseille was one of the largest ports in the Mediterranean. Travelers and immigrants arriving by ship were examined there to prevent the introduction of contagious diseases such as cholera or plague. The station thus served as a veritable health gateway to the city. With advances in medicine and the development of transportation, this function gradually disappeared. The building was abandoned for several years before the Regards de Provence Foundation, created in 1997 by collectors and patrons Pierre and Michèle Dumon under the aegis of the Fondation de France, decided to give it a new lease on life. Its ambition was to create a museum dedicated to artists who had depicted Marseille, Provence, and the Mediterranean. A major restoration project was then undertaken as part of Marseille-Provence 2013, European Capital of Culture. While preserving the iconic architecture of the former health resort, the building has been transformed into a modern 2,300 m² museum, comprising several exhibition halls, a bookstore, a panoramic restaurant, and a space retracing the history of the old resort. The museum officially opened on March 1, 2013. I only saw temporary exhibitions… I didn't find the permanent exhibition… the staff's welcome was very poor.

17/07/2026: A small museum in Marseille that I didn't know about. No wait at all; there were only five of us there at the time (July 14th). The museum's history is quite unique. One of the employees told us all about it. The current temporary exhibition on Dubout was excellent, and several satirical drawings made us laugh. The exhibition by the artist Gilles Barbier is also worth seeing! In short, a great find right next to the Mucem and the Cosquer Museum 👍🏼 I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Marseille 🩵

16/06/2026: A really lovely little restaurant. The food is varied, well-balanced, and affordable, served quickly. The service is top-notch: the two ladies I saw in the dining room throughout my stay were simply delightful, always smiling and friendly. What a treat! I don't come to Marseille regularly, but if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely come back to eat here. Fresh, delicious, and well-balanced: everything we love.

08/06/2026: Excellent value for money in Marseille A very pleasant surprise on Boulevard National. The welcome and service are particularly attentive. The €21.50 set menu is incredibly effective: an all-you-can-eat appetizer buffet, expertly prepared and generous daily specials (hand-cut beef tartare and duck confit with roast potatoes), including a drink and dessert. It's simple, fresh, affordable, and the atmosphere is excellent. A highly recommended spot for a flawless meal.

26/05/2026: I just wanted to express my sadness at the closure of the solar-powered outdoor café at the Tiers-Lab des Transitions, where we enjoyed an excellent solar fish kouss (kouss) with seasonal vegetables and mackerel kefta...

09/05/2026: The food is excellent, fresh, local produce, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The service is impeccable, yet unpretentious. The setting is charming, the garden produces herbs and vegetables that end up on the plate – it's perfect, in short!

11/03/2026: The cream-based sandwiches are incredible! The Oriental is particularly delicious: perfectly spiced and full of flavor. I also really enjoyed the Boursin one, where the cream really comes through, making it incredibly indulgent. The grilled meat is also top-notch: with a wonderful charred flavor reminiscent of charcoal grilling. In addition to the quality of the sandwiches, the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. Honestly, a fantastic place that I highly recommend! Thank you!
